A thing that FNDM is not fully getting is that RWBY even during his early chapters were never that good to begin with, a while Beacon Era is indeed chill to enjoy, it wasn't that well-developed, honestly, the fact that Beacon Academy could be used as tool of worldbuilding feels like a waste. I also loved that you gave Blake a pair of shades and shawl (?), in honestly shows how much is hiding her identity. Extra words; the Sunmotes are funny to watch, it shows how much expressive you are! I can't wait to see what you've done with the story! I'm especially excited to see what you will do with WTCH especially Tyrian! If I was to personally redesign him I would make him more of an anthropomorphic Scorpion than just a man with a tail, since I like anthropology animals (especially anthro bugs/arachnids) better than human characters. I'd personally write Tyrian as a former Schnee Dust Company slave who developed Sadistic and Masochistic tendencies to cope with the abuse he probably suffered, but killing his abusive master, unlocking his semblance, and escaping from the mines. He then would meet Salem who he realises is the Witch from the legends he read and idolised growing up, maybe relating to how the world demonises them both or something, leading to him becoming her loyal worshipping follower. Maybe we could also relate his fairytale origin of 'The Scorpion and The Frog' where he could put up the mask of insanity since he could believe that's 'just his nature' like the Scorpion believes stinging is 'just his nature'. This could give him beef with Blake because she was a part of the White Fang and he could personally hate the White Fang because maybe the Schnee Dust Company used them as an excuse to treat their workers unethically and horrid, and also be a Scape goat for Racists to treat Faunus badly, which could make Blake reevaluate her previous beliefs about the White Fang. He could hate Weiss because she's a Schnee and daughter to the man who abused him for so long and caused his descent into 'madness', we could have a scene where his coat and shirt-thing get torn of in a fight with Weiss and reveal 'SDC' along with many scars adorning his back. Seeing this could make Weiss reassess what her family has done to the Faunus and how her family has ruined many Faunus' lives, and make her even more motivated to defy her family's name, maybe even Whitley could get some development and maybe make him set on the goal of using the Schnee's resources to help others, especially the Faunus. This backstory could also help with interactions with the other members of WTCH. First of all he and Cinder could have scenes where they both connect with them both being slaves in the past and that they both killed their abusive masters, we could also learn in more detail about what Cinder wants with Salem and how she met her and led Cinder down this dark path. Maybe we could have Watts (instead of being a racist) think that the White Fang were justified in their actions and were the reason Faunus finally got equal rights, since the White Fang where the only reason the Atlas elite listened to the Faunus and finally gave them equality in his mind. This could be the reason why he's a disgraced Atlassian scientist because he had views of the White Fang that Atlas didn't agree with, maybe Jauc could have even manipulated IronWood into thinking he was a Terrorist and led to Watts becoming disgraced and then joining Salem. This could lead to interesting conflicts between them and be better than just 'WATTS IS RACIST' which in my opinion would just be low hanging fruit. Finally, maybe Hazel could be the only person Tyrian would be comfortable with, letting his mask fall around him, instead of being the crazy madman he is around everyone else, he could be his true vulnerable self around Hazel and show his true emotions and maybe they could open with each other (and Hazel would also open up about his trauma to, for the record), maybe Hazel could question Salem and her motivations, but Tyrian could rationalise it since Salem is his Queen so it makes sense that he would rationalise everything with her. Maybe they could realise together that Salem is lying to them and either cause them all to revolt against Salem (which is unlikely), or just have both Tyrian and Hazel leave Salem and Redeem themselves, but to be honest I probably wouldn't want that. Hazel and Tyrian could have on the outside this very interesting dynamic of the crazy, evil one and the calm, somewhat nice one. However, underneath the surface when no-one is around they could genuinely understand and support each other, maybe we could even get some romance out of it (yes I ship them because the concept of the man (Tyrian) who caused the end of the first gay relationship and a massive queer baiting controversy not being straight himself is really funny to me, also I wouldn't kill Hazel, I'd keep him alive). But all of this is just a personal head cannon, and I'm sorry this comment is so long, and I'm looking forward to what you have in store.

Personally, I think you were too harsh on the people who criticize and rewrite RWBY. They genuinely love the show and saw potential in the show and just found themselves disappointed with the writing and plot choices the writers made. Not one of them has even indicated that they assume what Monty wanted or didn't want, they just don't trust the other writers' judgment because for all they know, they may just be using Monty as a way of deflecting criticism. Like claiming that Bumblebee was always planned or that everafter was also planned for the show just to appear 9 volumes later without even being hinted at or mentioned before. And also, fans will also eat anything the show gives no matter how bad it is. Both sides can be bad and have issues, but I think fans have a right to criticize the show they have been watching for years. But they also shouldn't harass each other. Also, the RWBY fandom is very toxic, doxxing critics and accusing them of homophobia for not liking some of the writers' decisions. Overall, not every RWBY fan is bad and not every RWBY critic is bad. Either way, I'm excited about your rewrite.

Short version: there are some people who do bring up good points (like the bee deflection or faunus plot being a bad parallel), but there are others who take it WAAAAAY too fucking far and legitimately spread misinformation that has been literally disproven more than half a decade ago just because they want to hate the things they hate

Honeybun, Ironwood's first appearance was him bringing an entire army with him bc he was scared of losing control of the situation. His another major moment at the end of that same volume was trying to kick Oz out of Vale council and taking over the whole festival, bc he was scared of losing control over situation and couldn't calm the fuck down and wait. And volume 7-8 is him losing control over situation and jumping to drastic measures. The more control lost, the more drastic his measures are. He was always this way, you just decided to ignore it/forget it, because "daddy IW" of volume 4 and early 7. And i would ask you to refrain from screeching at the writers in my comment section, this is not a place for it. Just because the story didn't go the way you headcanoned it to go, doesn't mean it's bad or badly written.

I recommend that you show watch Celtic Phenix’s RWBY Rewrite for inspiration. His outtakes are really good and maybe inspirational to you.
