- A new series! Hurray! Hopefully the concept is pretty clear - we play the game for the normal refund period that Steam offers of 2 hours (we know some are higher) and give you our review impressions and an answer the to the question of if we would refund and wait for a sale or just avoid like a hot cup of tar. This should allow us to cover more games and still keep our signature SwitchUp Style while still doing larger reviews of titles. When I saw this in the indie world, I was absolutely blown away by the visuals and the audio, and bought it right away. Although I finished it in an hour, I find this has to be one of the best and most charming gaming experiences I've had in 2020.

@@etherspin I would love this, or a new Pokémon based like this. Pokémon sword and shield just looked so flat to me, this art style and world feeling is what a new Pokémon needs and would take it so deep back to its roots, just imagine what they could do nowadays with this tech!

I reached the peak of the mountain within a few hours but I know there’s still plenty to explore...I absolutely love how open it is and the graphics kinda remind of DS graphics which also makes it a bit nostalgic
Yes I was just thinking that it looked a bit like a DS or 3DS game and I'm totally okay with that. 😍
After playing Animal Crossing New Horizons for more than 300hrs i needed a break, picked this game up for $7 and beat it like in 3hrs. I was blown away by its visuals and story I really felt like some of these characters really cared about me and wanted me to get to the top of the mountain hike. I definitely would not return this game.
Reached the peak in a couple of hours. But man were those two hours awsome! And i still am discovering new things as i play along. A relaxing, go-at-your-own-pace game with a whole lot of charm.

Excellent on handheld! I only play in handheld mode, literally.
Also, AC + BOTW is exactly what I said, too!
Also, I kept it in chunky pixel mode, still looked great.
This is one of my favorite games. I signed up for steam to buy it on my Mac, but never really played it much (because I have a switch) and hoped it would come to the switch. I bought it immediately!

I feel the exact same way! I love the music and I wasn’t sure on the graphics but I’ve grown to love it. I just finished getting to the top of the mountain today and now I’m replaying it. This is a cool game

This game is brilliant. I bought it and wasn't sure if I'd really like it even though I loved this art style, but MAN it's so beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable.
So much charm and love put into the game, moving around is fun, dialogue is great, art style is phenomenal, the music is relaxing, man I love this game.

Haven't played it yet, but the visuals totally reminds me of the DS 3D style graphics.

Love this review style! Yesterday I put this game on my wishlist then immediately purchased it after I watched this video. I’ve truly enjoyed my afternoon with it. Perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea! You can also change the pixel ratio to suite your preference.

Got it today and I loved it. I love the visual style and I agree, the soundtrack is so damn goooooood. The ending made me almost tear up, it’s so sweet. Worth every penny. Gonna hop back in get every single secret and little event there is to do! Great video!

I finally got around to this review and I LOVED IT!!! Very nicely priced game from the looks of it and the short snips of music that I got to hear were AMAZING...I agree that its some of the best I've heard. got this for free on my PC about when it originally launched. probably one of my favorite experiences this year, up there with Animal Crossing and Persona 5R.
Cheers dude. Yeah I like this format- particularly lower priced games as they are possibly the ones you get for occasional play and this basic impression and feel is what I will probably judge this type of game on too.

I've been following this game since last year and was always interested whenever the dev gave updates on the game but for some reason I never got it for pc. But your review convinced me to get it on switch! Really love the added touch of them adding the boat in the switch version then updated it to pc haha
I LOVE IT! Visuals, Audio and Vibe is on POINT!
I absolutely love this game! Each character (even though their dialogue is limited) has their own personality like the struggling college student who sells golden feathers to pay tuition and the aspiring artist who fell in a slump of depression because of peer pressure. This game is a joy! I would pay twice as much as the game costs to buy it!

I have this on PC and it got me through some vary anxious nights a few months back. It's the perfect game if you want to de-stress for a few hours. The one complaint I had was that the keyboard controls weren't great, so I bet playing it on a Switch with a controller makes for an even better experience.

I loved this game, and listen to the OST so often when I'm doing my 3D art stuff. I played it honestly maybe for three days total? But it was such a fantastic experience, so relaxing and felt good to explore and find new things.
I remember when I got to the final stretch of the hike... With the cold wind and the suspenseful music, with those piano keys hitting cold, hard notes, combined with the fact it is the most "dangerous" area of the game, it seemed like the stakes were higher, and I felt tension, I even teared up a bit while scaling those desolate cliffs, striked by the cold wind and the frostbite. Reaching the top really paid off.

I played this a few months back thanks to an EGS freebie. Lovely little experience that made me feel all warm n' fuzzy inside, then sad when it ended. I would have said a tenner was the right price for this, so just over half that is a bargain. Great relaxing game to play on a rainy day.

I really enjoyed the "Would I refund?" approach. It really comes down to whether or not you, the reviewer gives ample support for your opinion/conclusion in the end. And the summation "would" or "wouldn't" really boils it down to what we want to know: Do you recommend the game? Great idea IMO.

Yes, yes I very much like this style of quick review. Maybe a monthly “refund roundup” where you give a bit more info as to if you played the two hours and stopped or have dumped 50 hours into it, is it still as good five hours in or whatnot.

The biggest and perhaps only drawback to this game is the frickin camera suddenly swooping around randomly at some times. It's bizarre.

Bought it yesterday, Isunk a couple of hours in it first play, I didn't want to get to the summit as the game made me smile too much and I didn't want it to end but there is so much to discover so was able to pad it out.
