- I did a thing! There's very little so far about this tiny powerhouse synth bargain, so I'm sharing the bit I've worked out in the last few hours. I hope it helps somebody, if it does drop us a like! ; ) x

Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago. Really pleased and midi was easy to set up. I downloaded the editor and as always it's really good.

I hooked my JT-4000 to MPC One+ for the midi side & sequencing which worked out great. :)

is there a way to "latch" the arpeggiator so that when you turn it on / play a note , it holds indefinitely?
Yes, in current firmware 1.1.5 (it was already in 1.1.4) you can do that through "Settings" button > key B:Hold ON.
Before 1.1.4 (like stock firmware 1.1.1, 1.1.2): hold the note, go to Settings > key A:OCT and change octave while holding a note down. Also works with latest firmware.

My piece had arp source as default, what was pretty surprising.

Its smaller then i expected the keyboard seems better than the nts1 ribbon controller ... Iv got to get one of these
Can this be plugged into PC and ran in DAW with no additional cables?
USB for midi and audio cable into PC/Audio interface if you want to record the sound into the DAW.

What would be a good beginner keyboard that can make beats that will complement this?
How much you have to spend
A Pocket Operator 33 KO is good for cheap beat making. Not a keyboard, but it can sequence drums and sample stuff easily, good for beats. Look up some of the lo-fi beats people make on Pocket Operators
Hey, do you happen to know why mine only plays keys once in ARP mode and doesn't loop?
Issue with new firmware update apparently, saw on another video. Fixed soon hopefully

I'm sure you can edit the sounds and make a nice plucky tone. I'm gonna do another how-to vid on that in the next week or so - keep playing with it!

You can easy. Just: ATT 0 / DEC 25 / SUS 0 /REL 35 and on OSC-X move to the right to RING and play a bit around
