Loving the space you gave yourself in between each aisle is brilliant Joel. Its easy to cramp everything close but you planned this out masterfully! Looking wonderful Joel !
You are my hero. Simply put, you're doing everything I could only reach in dreams. I have a modest collection of about 300 games, all of which are Vita, Wonderswan and Gameboy/Gameboy Advance. I'm very happy to own what I do, but wow just seeing your collection is inspiring.
I'm so happy I found this channel, you are so different from all the other gaming channels. Biggest game collector is only the beginning.. Entertaining, amazing editing, good humour and down to earth. Keep it up and thank you.
This is definitely where you channel is picking up, Joel. I love being able to see this all come together; and whilst I wish it was done. All these Vlogs really just showcase your dedication to getting everything set up and perfect. I can't wait. Keep it coming! Also, loving you showing off the family too. Definitely brings your personality to life in front of the camera. I think we can all see you're getting way more relaxed, which I definitely appreciate. You used to be so wooden and seemingly anxious doing videos. So it's really nice to see you getting comfortable. Can't wait for the play room reveal!
Everytime I came to your channel I'm blown away! I follow you for a very long time and you can still grab me with your stories and inspiring DIY! Thank you so much, Joel! Truly appreciate it! Cheers from Portugal, home of ZX Spectrum and Amiga addicts ;) There's still a huge community nowadays! Have a great week!
Inspirational. I'm an old school avid gamer myself. I have found that some of the most underrated aspects to game collecting is having good support. Most people might ridicule or frown upon having such a hobby, but with a supportive wife for example... it can almost fuel your enthusiasm. Well done on all fronts, looking forward to more vids.
My wife would happily support me selling my collection on ebay! Although I am thinking of selling my cabs and pcb's, it's a constant battle to keep them working.
This is my idea of heaven, having thousands of games to catalogue, putting together a gaming room that looks awesome and putting everything in a specific order! This is not a chore this is pure bliss
Love watching you put that whole room together from scratch! Can't wait to see the finished product. I also love how you watch Knight Rider as a family. Brings back great memories of the early 80's with me and my family piled up in the living room watching it. Keep up the great work! GREAT channel!
The white walls look wAYYY better! it looks more professional. color accents can always be added with light or posters. It gives it a clean modern look. i like it
Good choice with the white. While your putting in LED lighting why not have rgb+w let's you can change the colour of the boxes at will. Also why not the same for the lights in th ceiling. You can also get sensors that when you walk into an area they can change colour. For example the room would be white but then you walk into the Nintendo area and the lights in that zone fade to red. When you leave the lights fade back to white. Just a thought is all. You room will have that living breathing affect as you move around it. Just like your collection. Looks go tho
I think you made a good choice with white, makes it look clean and makes the games, accessories, and those coloured boxes be the focus of the room. Can't wait to see more as always.
iv been watching this channel for a few months now and its my favourite channel on youtube. always makes me happy when theres a new video up. just want to say keep it up guys and thanks, love what your doing and love watching it progress, i think white is gonna work well, the colours from the games are gonna be loud and busy enough, you need a neutral background.
I can't wait to see the finished library. It's kind of how I imagined someone with collections like this would do it. A game library room and a room where the games can be played as well as an arcade and theater. It's gonna look amazing when it's all done. Working towards the payoff must be tiring though.
For me a big part of collecting is also organizing and reorganizing my collections on display. I would have an absolute blast setting up this game room. Only to eventually, in a couple of months/years after acquiring more items, shuffle it all around again to keep it interesting and fresh. It's exciting & inspiring to see your design coming together in these vlogs. It gives me ideas for how I would set up a game room like this when I finally acquire the space for it. Good stuff.. and thanks for the videos!
The best thing about having old games is having your kids play your favourite games. My 8 year old is an resident evil nut and my 9 year is a devil may cry fan. Your kids are going to have a blast growing up.
This is going to look beautiful. You can still do individual tours but I think once you get this room set up and the arcade room especially and after you get all those games from that deal you got you definitely need to do a grand tour. People will go absolutely bonkers!
Can't wait to see the final result Joel and I guess you're eager to see it yourself. And I like the idea of keeping this set up as the final one... all the moving around got me kinda nervous ;) Respect and good luck with the remaining work ahead!
Honestly Joel this is my favourite channel to watch on TH-cam. Super interesting and entertaining, you put so much hard work into the designs of the rooms! So excited to see it complete, keep it up 🤙
Joel, I am very impressed. with the show. The dinner scene with Knight Rider made a smile on my face even after a hard day at work. Obviously this is any gamer's heaven. Keep up with the good content. Cheers from Hungary.
I have to admit white really seems to be the best choice here. And I like the vanilla look of the room ! Great choice, I'm can't wait to see the completed room!
Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony marketing departments should pay Joel on general principle. The excitement he generates for the industry outstrips any number of commercials and print ads any of them produce, I'm SO glad I found this channel!! Edit: Zelda is so adorable playing with shelves! 😉💃👍
Love watching your videos, Joel. Had no idea you named your daughter Zelda, that's amazing! Beautiful family, keep up the good work. Excited to see this all come together!
Third video I've watched after finding your channel this morning. Needless to say, I'll been spending my week off work going through your channel. Great work mate.
Your title is certainly not click-bait, and you can be proud of that! White is great choice for the color scheme, and certainly gives the room a bigger look. But you have to agree that while white color suits the room, it is rather bland. Like someone suggested having sensor LED lights would be a great idea, and since walls are white the lights can be of any color. Maybe put posters around the walls, game arts and all to snazzy up the room. I guess once all the games are put up, the decoration process can be done thought the time. Good to see little Zelda making her first official appearance in a video, and looks like on her way to becoming a major gamer. Can't wait too see the final look!
Great video Joel, I really like the soundtrack, happy to see the room moving forward and yes I think white is a good choice and the color shelves on top look great. Keep going and thank you :)
Joel are you a fan of Thundercats too. I love He-man and Thundercats. This is starting to feel like the final quest for gaming glory and i like the neutral white color to highlight all the individual colors of the games. great video mate.
I think the White looks awesome. It looks very clean, and I think you will like it more over time. Also, you aren't "painting" yourself into a corner. You can always rearrange without having to repaint everything!
Clinical look - looks awesome - glad you went that way, looks like a gallery and laboratory all in one - will put all the emphasis on the games and consoles nice, I’ll pop over this weekend dude had too much to do last week have to finish a job then I’ll be free this weekend
This really does look fantastic. No more reorganising the entire room every time one collection outgrows its area. I predict the lighting you have in mind is going to blow everyone away 😉
Always entertaining Joel. Keep it up. you are the ONLY channel I religiously watch every week. I hope you don't get sick of the comments I leave or the likes on your Twitter and Instagram photos haha. Keep the amazing content coming! P.S. - Nice touch with the Streets of Rage music ;)
Joel, have you thought about making small "planks" of wood to put behind your games, so they all come to the edge at least? Like your PS3, they're like 1 cm in. You could put planks behind them so they all are at the front. Just a personal opinion, i'd like to hear your opinion.
Good luck ;) Lovely to see the family grouped together for Knight rider, very sweet to see. I don't see the Hello Kitty dreamcast though.. I know you want it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
One more thing, I'm not a fan of the MVS going to the arcade room. You said you don't want to come and collect the game to play. But, you do the same for your consoles right? From the play room to the library room. Imho, the MVS should stick next to the AES. :'(
Jeez, just seeing how much you put up today and how much you have completed the room is amazing... I give it a week no more than 2 before you have all of those shelves filled
Joel, How do you inventory all this? Do you or someone else maintain a master list as you acquire stuff? Typed in manually or scanned by UPC with special software?
Looks so good with white on white. Best and cleanest option by far. Maybe add some neon coloured lights over different sections like blue for PlayStation, red for NES, purple for GameCube etc.
what a nice idea.... keep the good work bro... i wish i can take a look from there but yeah... love to see your good work for making the library look full... i love it
Dude, you amaze me, takes a lot of work but so worth it when it's done! What type of building is that, doesn't look like a typical house, was it an office/hospital building before.
How many years ago was it when you built the game room extension at the back of the old house? I remember back then we used to have to wait 1-3 months per VLOG episode. This channel's come a long way.
Ayyyyy my mate Ristar in the credits! One of my fave games! Dug the Gears shirt too. Room is looking awesome. Keen as to see it all set up! Bring on the Dreamcast and Xbox sections!
Loving the space you gave yourself in between each aisle is brilliant Joel. Its easy to cramp everything close but you planned this out masterfully! Looking wonderful Joel !
You are my hero.

When Joel punches towards the camera in the intro it gets me SO HYPED for vlog files. Every time love ya work
I'm so happy I found this channel, you are so different from all the other gaming channels. Biggest game collector is only the beginning.. Entertaining, amazing editing, good humour and down to earth. Keep it up and thank you.

Retro Collector second that.., just an all round brilliant channel. Hope they remember our names when they hit 1mil subs 🤞😊🖖jeje
105 Wonky thank you 🙏 too kind
you covered the windows... even if i understand the reason, it's terrible...
Al the window will not be there as the arcade room will be on the other side of that wall
This is definitely where you channel is picking up, Joel. I love being able to see this all come together; and whilst I wish it was done. You just keep getting better. Never go away
Everytime I came to your channel I'm blown away! I follow you for a very long time and you can still grab me with your stories and inspiring DIY!
Thank you so much, Joel! Truly appreciate it!

It's a Pixel THING thank you for being with me for so long. Good times ahead :)
I thank You, Joel! Love your show!

Scenic Approach thanks and your right she's extremely supportive
My wife would happily support me selling my collection on ebay! Although I am thinking of selling my cabs and pcb's, it's a constant battle to keep them working.
My wife would gladly throw my collection onto my head from 4 stories.
next month he'll be moving all of it again
alex krasnic last time.
Last Gamer. Sounds like me when I tell the missus one more game
You got a great little family there, you can feel the love and support. Great video, excited to see this journey.
This is my idea of heaven, having thousands of games to catalogue, putting together a gaming room that looks awesome and putting everything in a specific order! This is not a chore this is pure bliss
David Johnston agree
Cannot wait to see what the library looks like when it's finished. Keep up the good work Joel, I've been really enjoying your content on this channel.
Douglas Quaid 🙏
Love watching you put that whole room together from scratch! Can't wait to see the finished product. I also love how you watch Knight Rider as a family. Brings back great memories of the early 80's with me and my family piled up in the living room watching it. Keep up the great work! GREAT channel!

I love the white! Brings all the focus on whats in the room, not the room itself :) Thanks for the amazing content Joel!
Its not a library, its an museum.
Sooooo much dedication...You sir are awesome. The best gaming channel on youtube bar none!!!
Good choice with the white. While your putting in LED lighting why not have rgb+w let's you can change the colour of the boxes at will. Also why not the same for the lights in th ceiling. Tony Jefford good idea.
Seeing the family gather to eat dinner in front of Knight Rider gives me ALL the feelz. Very nice.
I think you made a good choice with white, makes it look clean and makes the games, accessories, and those coloured boxes be the focus of the room. Can't wait to see more as always.

Retroradboy I watch it all the time

Awesome as always Joel. I think the white room was the way to go. The light box's are really going to pop when they are lit.
So sick, great work bud! Loving the content you're generating too, can't wait to see the finished room!
Such a 90s vibe with the intro and editing. The white walls are perfect.
For me a big part of collecting is also organizing and reorganizing my collections on display. I would have an absolute blast setting up this game room. This is gunna be so cool. I'm excited to see the final look.
That HeMan music really got my morning started right!
The best thing about having old games is having your kids play your favourite games. My 8 year old is an resident evil nut and my 9 year is a devil may cry fan. Your kids are going to have a blast growing up.
Lachlan Hooker yeah Luke has just got into Devil may cry. Good times
This is going to look beautiful. You can still do individual tours but I think once you get this room set up and the arcade room especially and after you get all those games from that deal you got you definitely need to do a grand tour. People will go absolutely bonkers!
I like the little touches like you eating dinner with your family watching Knight Rider and the He-Man clip. Another Great Vlog
You and your room are really something special. Congrats to you and your wife on getting all this done!
This is looking great, the anticipation of seeing all those games of the shelves is immense.
Can't wait to see the final result Joel and I guess you're eager to see it yourself. And I like the idea of keeping this set up as the final one... all the moving around got me kinda nervous ;)
Respect and good luck with the remaining work ahead!
The library room looks so sleek, you will literally be painting it with games, i love it
Great video. Loved the He-Man clip. The new library room is looking amazing. Looking forward to next weeks vlog.
Honestly Joel this is my favourite channel to watch on TH-cam. Super interesting and entertaining, you put so much hard work into the designs of the rooms! So excited to see it complete, keep it up 🤙

It's getting there. This unveiling is going to be monumental. Great work!
I like the white. Makes all the game boxes stand out really bright and colorful.
Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony marketing departments should pay Joel on general principle. The excitement he generates for the industry outstrips any number of commercials and print ads any of them produce, I'm SO glad I found this channel!!
Edit: Zelda is so adorable playing with shelves! 😉💃👍
Aaron Hill 🙏
Love watching your videos, Joel. Had no idea you named your daughter Zelda, that's amazing! Beautiful family, keep up the good work. Excited to see this all come together!

Emerald Game Cave thanks. Yes love Thundercats.
That's so adorable you named your daughter Zelda and she's already a gamer at heart. Picking a game out. lol Great video!
Wow, it's really coming together nicely LastGamer! Awesome!

I like the white for the room and adding those light boxes on the wall will add the splash of colour.
Absolutely blown away!!! You Sir are a gaming GOD!
Josh Baker 🙏
LOVE the PiL intrumental interlude mid-video
I think the White looks awesome. It looks very clean, and I think you will like it more over time. Also, you aren't "painting" yourself into a corner. You can always rearrange without having to repaint everything!
Can't wait to see the room at the end and it's the same for the arcade room ! You make a great job !
It's beautiful! I love the epic background music as well, very fitting.
Don't know how you have 32k subs, you should have way more ! This channel just keeps getting better and better. Great work :-)
Clinical look - looks awesome - glad you went that way, looks like a gallery and laboratory all in one - will put all the emphasis on the games and consoles nice, I’ll pop over this weekend dude had too much to do last week have to finish a job then I’ll be free this weekend

The boards can go up the arcade room though. :>
Nothing much to say, love it! -
As always.
Good choice with the colours. This room is spectacular.
I love ‘me and Mandy are going to work through the night’. She’s like ‘.....wait.....what?!’
Jeez, just seeing how much you put up today and how much you have completed the room is amazing... I give it a week no more than 2 before you have all of those shelves filled
Thanks for sharing. If I didn't see it, I couldn't believe or imagine it. Truly worth documenting.
Joel, How do you inventory all this? Do you or someone else maintain a master list as you acquire stuff? Typed in manually or scanned by UPC with special software?
Ryan Bates I'll show you next video or so
Really glad you went with white. Looks great.
Looks so good with white on white. Best and cleanest option by far.
Maybe add some neon coloured lights over different sections like blue for PlayStation, red for NES, purple for GameCube etc.
Take that yellow display box down :)
what a nice idea.... keep the good work bro... i wish i can take a look from there but yeah... love to see your good work for making the library look full... i love it
I would gladly pay money to see all this awesome stuff in person.
Coming along nicely! Loving the show at dinner time! 😉
Joel "Terry Bogard" Hopkins :) Cool video! Looking forward to the rest of the set-up.
What a wonderful job you have: collect and place all these fantastic games and arcade cabinets. I really envy you.
Javier Sianes 🙏
Thank you for sharing these videos of your game collection with the rest of the world.
Dude, you amaze me, takes a lot of work but so worth it when it's done! What type of building is that, doesn't look like a typical house, was it an office/hospital building before.
The white walls look awesome Joel, so Many rich colours from all the games
Matt Duncan agree Matt 👍
Great work Joel it looks museum quality!
This is the best video game show on TH-cam.
How many years ago was it when you built the game room extension at the back of the old house? I remember back then we used to have to wait 1-3 months per VLOG episode. This channel's come a long way.
Alfresco 6 years ago. Time flies
Amiibo is plural xD Love your videos!! Can't wait to see the finished product!!
Sweet, more room for current systems. Knight Rider, My favorite TV growing up. Airwolf is second but only the first 3 seasons.
Dude that was amazing the he-man reference was spot on perfect bro🤙🏻🎮🙌🏻👍🏋️♀️
This is insane!! Wet dream of all game nerds. God job Joel, god job!
Ayyyyy my mate Ristar in the credits! One of my fave games! Dug the Gears shirt too. Room is looking awesome. Keen as to see it all set up! Bring on the Dreamcast and Xbox sections!
Uncle Chunt thanks man. Yeah Ristar and gears. Too top games of mine also
Those shelves are great, I've got 3 of them in black, use them for all my games, DVD's, blu-Rays and toys.
I agree with you, the white needs to be broken up a little more. Where did you get the shelving from?
No sooner did I post this question while listening to the video you mentioned the shelving. lol
Constantly entertaining videos, keep up the great work! I am in awe of your collection, you're an inspiration.
He-Man would have had Man-at-Arms do it... he wasn't very handy but excelled at delegating out the work. I have the power indeed.
Man At Arms was busy so Teela was helping on the battlefield :)
Hard work pays off 10 times over, looking good 👍
What are your white shelves called and where can I get them? They're perfect :)
The Gadget God keep watching. I tell you half way into the video 🙏
That gears of war shirt is amazing
White walls look nicer than the blues and bright yellows. Keep it neutral, could do a wall in a light grey for a bit of contrast/feature maybe.
Coming along nicely there mate!
Once it done it will look fantastic..i cant wait to see this finished ,,:) you worked bloody hard on this..well done :)
Awesome job good luck with the rest of the set up I love it :D and thanks for sharing the shelves :)
Can't wait for you to finish this epic room🤗
