Truly amazing interview. THIS is why the internet is NOT all bad. Mesmerizing subject. Two hours straight, never boring. Great job by the interviewer. Easy gig to mess up, and he didn't.
I grew up in The Bronx and DJ from 1986-2009. I was a big fan of Ice-T. This lecture made me like him even more. He was real about all the things he spoke about and so far it was my favorite lecture I listened to from The Red Acadamy. Awesome watch.
Ice... Thanks for taking the time out to do this interview. It seems you're acting career can sometimes overshadow your musical accomplishments. It's so incredible to hear, first-hand from the source, the details of that magical time when rap was still the new undiscovered frontier...
What an interview of a true legend ice t I was in the front row when ice t gave his speech Los Angeles forever changed the hip hop scene with the likes of bobcat mr prince Egyptian lover Battlecat Rodney o joe Cooley dj kitkat mixmaster spade toddy tee and rest of the west coast and all hail the honorable chief of the west coat dr Dre warren g Fredwreck
I like what he said about the bubbles we live in. Reminds me of the reality tunnels Robert Anton Wilson spoke about. I read Ice's book 'The Ice Opinion' yrs ago, highly recommend it.
Mentioning Robert Anton Wilson along with Ice T is the kind of mind that the broad-minded Ice T fan attracts. Eckhart Tolle also speaks 'bubbles' of reality.
If he'd go out and do stand up comedy by 12h from now, he'd be the only one left doin' so by 24h. He's hilarious, and I wouldn't ever have imagined it'd be that way since buying his first album day one. By the way: everyone having missed out the greatest ever Hip Hop compilation, being the Rhyme Syndicate one, should do so. Still his most unrecognized achievement to be discovered.
In England they do have racial issues against Black and white especially in Notting Hill. For example watch the show called Small Axe first episode is about the Mangrove Nine.
Umm. No he hasn't. He has always acknowledged he was born in Jersey was orphaned and sent to live with relatives in LA. He says it right in the interview. Did you watch this or do any research prior to making the comment?
more than likely willie magana is a east coast cat who is jealous because somebody who was born on the east but grew up ion the west choose to rep the west
Pac was from Baltimore, yet he made a song called California Love and constantly bigged up the west, he was even at the forefront of the east/west beef, yet no one calls him out for it... stfu

Ice-T is black, he's both parents are black, so what are you talking about? lol Get your facts straight! He's mother is light skin black woman, that's why Ice got that light skin too.
If you want to find out more on Ice-T then you're in luck!

Seems like he could easily add stand up comedy to his resume. Amazing brain and hard-working man.
0:31 Wasn't that an intro sample used on a Mantronix, 'Musical Madness' album track!
He should drop a new album, he drops so many jewels he just needs a good producer and some good features.
ICE-T is a wise man.
20:54 Anyone who has seen Godfrey talk about Ice T on VladTV can see here that Godfrey was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!
