Let’s talk about Ozempic. Ozempic is an injectable drug that’s used to help people lose weight. Yes, it may work. But it’s expensive and has serious potential side effects.
Ozempic increases a certain receptor that helps slow down digestion and decreases appetite and cravings. It also helps restore insulin levels and blood sugar levels.
Potential side effects of Ozempic can include:
    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Bloating
    • Abdominal pain
    • Headaches
    • Gas
    • Constipation
    • Diarrhea
    • Heartburn
    • Dizziness
    • Thyroid cancer
    • Suicidal thoughts
    • Pancreatitis
    • Kidney disease
    • Retinopathy
    • Muscle loss
    • Gastroparesis
The question is, will Ozempic really solve your weight loss problem without giving you a different problem? How about an alternative? Thousands of natural chemicals in plants have therapeutic health benefits with rarely any side effects.
The best natural remedies for weight loss:
    1. Panax ginseng
    2. Berberine
These home remedies for weight loss are great to use in combination with changing your diet. The best diet plan for weight loss is the Healthy Keto® diet with intermittent fasting.
Not only will the Healthy Keto diet and intermittent fasting help support weight loss, but they also help reduce hunger and cravings. This is a weight loss plan you can do long-term and at a fraction of the cost of Ozempic.
The top benefits of the keto diet that go beyond weight loss include:
    • Improved cognitive function
    • Better mood
    • Enhanced liver function
    • Preserved muscles
    • Healthy digestion

About a million years ago (35 actually ) I had a summer job a Merck. My job was to catalogue plant sap samples they had gotten from trees from all over the world. There were enough of them to keep me busy for the summer. I cataloged them and aliquoted them so that scientists could test them for activity against various diseases. So yes, pharma knows that plants are the answer

How are people actually unaware of the fact that this channel is designed specifically for the purpose of advertising.
It’s a medium for pushing drugs and/or practices (with potential equipment) based on the payments this gentleman receives.
This does not discount the factual accuracy of the videos. It’s just deliberately structured to omit the nuance that would destroy the black/white view that’s necessary for this form of marketing to work. The nuance (paying close attention) that will actually make a difference.

I’m on Ozempic and have had no side effects at all. I have lost 30kg. I feel so much better. I find that Ozempic helps me stick to Low carb & intermittent fasting. I’m in a group with thousands of Ozempic users and overwhelmingly the reports are positive. Yes, a few people have some (mostly mild) side effects but these are usually manageable.
I agree that if you can successfully lose weight using ‘natural’ methods then great. For those of us who have tried and failed time & time again now we have Ozempic to help us. Much better than staying obese in my opinion😊

This has been my experience as well. I am trying to get out of it tho but it became a train wreck. I find out that in order for me to maintain my weight, I need to make sure I am on ozempic. I had a surgery and taking other meds for it, had to be out of ozempic for about 3 months... it was a bit crazy! gained 20 lbs (mind you, the meds I got made me retain water and I wasn't moving much). Ozempic like everything else is not a miracle drug. I think that is where people gets it confused. As long as I eat a sensible diet (which I haven't, guilty of charge) and keep moving, it works. The great benefit for me, at least, was the cravings. I binge eat so this has helped me tremendously to keep that in check. I am giving it another try. Why? Because I got to be 250lbs at some point and nothing worked for me. This helped me to get to 157... now I'm at 180 now but the extra help keeps me motivated. :) thanks for your comment

I feel much better, and all of the signs of fatty liver went away. I am down 5 sizes in my pants and 2 sizes in my shirts. Berberine has been fantastic for me and I never get hungry and I actually have to remind myself to eat all of the time. This video is nonsense! *Ozempic is a Miracle Life Saving Drug for people who cannot control their Diabetes.* I only pay $7.70 for it here in Australia. You exaggerate the side effects. Minor side effects only effect 5% to 10% of those using it. Thyroid Cancer? Ozempic does NOT product Thyroid Cancer in normal people, but it clearly states it should NOT be used on people with a family history of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplastic Syndrome. Same for Retinopathy. It should NOT be used for people who already have Retinopathy or Macular Edema because it will make these conditions worse. Muscle loss happens when you lose weight and don't exercise, so ALL Diets lead to muscle loss! It does NOT cause Kidney Disease, that is a load of bullocks! Do you plan on taking this for the rest of your life? Well yes, just like Diabetics have to take Metformin for the rest of their lives. Herbs do not cure Diabetes. I know because I spent hundreds of dollars on them without helping me one iota!

  • @maggiedonaldson8432
    @maggiedonaldson8432 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +50

My issue with these injectable drugs is that they do little to deal with the psychological aspects of over-eating/binge eating. We all know (many of us from bitter experience) that we are fat and unhealthy because we eat too much of the wrong type of food. High sugar/ultra-processed food is often what we turn to when stressed or in an emotionally fragile place. Changing not only WHAT we eat but how and when we eat is the answer. Recognising the triggers that lead to emotional over-eating is key. An injection won’t help with any of that. Once you stop the injections, you’ll probably just return to the bad eating habits with commensurate weight regain and health issues returning. I will definitely check out the ginseng and berberine!

      @gorabacha 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The whole point of ozempic is that it deals with the 'psychological aspects of over-eating/binge eating'. it makes you feel full and stop you thinking about food. Hence you eat less and lose weight. You are right that once injections stop, pre-ozempic eating habits come back. It's nice to think that we, as the human race, can overcome our unhealthy relationship with food with sheer will power, but statistical trends show otherwise.

The hardest part about dieting--telling your wife that you won't be eating dinner with the family. I changed to a very loose interpretation of intermittent fasting--I cheat often--and have dropped 30 pounds without even thinking about it. It's literally changing my life. Listening to Dr. Berg caused the change, along with talking with my friend who lived through Stage IV cancer, and used fasting as a strategy. Just do it.

I tried ozempic. I took it on and off for 4 months. I went from 235 to 188. I stopped it and about a year later I was up to 225. So I did it again for about 3 months. But this time I only got down to 211. I also was eating zofran like M&M’s! My hair was very long coarse and super thick. I loved my hair! But it started breaking off just below my shoulders and falling out. I have 1/3 of the hair I had. It won’t get any longer and for about a year it went from straight to kinky fuzzy! I refused to go anywhere for a year because I was so ashamed. But the worst part was the last shot put me in the bed for 6 weeks! If I rolled over I felt like I was going to throw up. Going to the bathroom I felt like I was going to pass out and would have to sit down halfway there and back. I’ve never been that miserable in my life! I was beginning to think I was gonna die. It scared me so bad I’ll NEVER take it again! I usually don’t take any meds until they’ve been on the market for a few years so we know more about them. But after turning 40 my usual calorie counting wasn’t working. I just couldn’t get the weight off I’d gained since turning 40. I’ve never been overweight! Until 40. I’m disabled now because I developed lupus at age 32. I don’t see my friends that often because they work. I didn’t want anyone to see me. I just knew they would be thinking, wow! She’s really let herself go. But what I went thru with Ozempic was way worse than my embarrassment over the weight gain. I’m going to try the berberine and panax ginseng. I’m also going to start a carnivore diet. I’ve been researching it a lot and some people get 100% relief from their autoimmune disease. Plus they say the energy levels skyrocket. I need all of that! I just wish I could find a local farmer who raised cattle without antibiotics, hormones, & steroids. I’ve found some online but just ground beef is $10 per pound. I just can’t afford that. I’ll do the best I can with store bought. If you are considering Ozempic just for weight loss find something else. It’s not worth it!

It is worrisome because you don’t need a blood test to get it just a quick phone call from a nurse.
I also watched a video from
An endocrinologist who talked about people losing weight, yes, but from losing muscle - hence the new term “ozempic butt”
Playing around with blood sugar like that seems sketchy to me.

I’m a 49yr old male and I started taking Ozempic seven weeks ago. For the first four weeks I was on the .25 dose and lost a small amount of weight, with zero side effects. On week five I doubled the dose (as instructed) and all hell broke loose. The weight loss really took off but I’ve had SEVERE diarrhea, nausea, and stomach pain, to the point that I don’t think I can continue taking the drug. I’m down 24lbs in just seven weeks, but I’m literally up all night sitting on the toilet.

@@2lmkerns yes, I’ve considered that, but I think it’s generally accepted that most people (or many people, at least) don’t see the weight loss benefits unless they’re at the higher doses. And since I only take the drug to lose weight, I’m afraid I wouldn’t see any more benefits from it.

So, it would indicate that the little food you're able to keep in is essentially a huge calorie deficit. If you continue you might end up getting severely lacking nutrition aka become malnourished and suffering deficiency of vit, minerals, protein and essential amino acid & fatty acids. It's tricky to determine how much sacrifice you are willing to make and balance the pros and cons of being overweight or losing weight but also becoming malnourished. Either way, all the best in whatever you decide to do

That aside, I just started on the Berberine, but was drawn to it for one of my ponies! He has the Equine Metabolic issue, which is very similar to diabetes in people. He has only been on it a couple of weeks, but his overall condition has improved. I have been working on digestive issues, making great headway, thanks to you, and many other very knowledgeable people - thank goodness for "internet doctors"! I have a friend who got on Ozempic. She wasn’t even that overweight, maybe 30lbs at most that she gained through early menopause. I told her before she got on it to try simple changes like cutting out processed carbs, junk food, sugar and upping her protein and animal fat intake… nothing crazy. She laughed and said no way could she mentally give up her favorite things. Instead she got on ozempic and I’m not kidding when I say I saw her 2 weeks after taking it and she looked SOOO SICKLY… so much so that another friend said out loud “Are you Ok!?! You look super sick!?” Her face looked so pale, so tired, so gaunt and already has made her look much older. I didn’t say anything but I really wish she would of just went natural and did basic exercises and diet changes.

I have been taking Berberine for almost a year (approved by my PCP) and I’ve lost about 10 pounds and my A1C dropped from 6.4 to 5.7. He had wanted me to start Metformin and I asked if instead of Metformin I take Berberine. He was shocked when he saw the results and told me to keep doing what I’m doing. Also, this has been without me making any changes to my exercise or diet. But I do eat low carb (ish) for the most part. I could definitely do better in that regard.

LOve your videos and the alternative explanations of how things work. I have been battling all my life with appetite cravings which i have to state is different than being hungry. i can have extreme cravings on a full stomach. due to accute stress the past two years have been extreme in terms of binge eating. i gained 20 kg and developed fatty liver in only two months. those cravings just wouldn't stop as well as my thoughts around food 24/7 and the only thing that managed at least temporarily to stop it was ozempic (due to its effects on the hypothalamus has worked for other addictions too). Ozempic cut cravings and even hunger. that helped me easily do intermittent fasting and choose healthy foods and lose around 13kg. the thing is if i stop it the carvings come back. what else is there as an alternative with such dramatic effect on binge eating?(the only other thing i know are amfetamines). dietary guidelines and fasting fail when the cravings are active cause they cannot be applied. i would love your oppinion on this cause i struggle so many years. thanks again for the great content!!!

i think when talking about side effects it’s important to mention the likelihood of actually having said side effect. although most of these GLP-1’s have a black boxed warning for thyroid cancer, this was only observed in animal model studies and not in humans. of course if you have risk factors associated with thyroid cancer, then it’s important to monitor. great video, im just wary of people scaring patients because of potential side effects.

I am just coming off Ozempic by my own choice - was on it for 15 months. I was a metabolic disaster - it helped me lose 65 pounds. BUT, I was really tired while taking it and it caused anxiety. I am grateful that it gave me a head start and it made me realize I can do this - I felt I was hopeless. I have been off it for three weeks and my GI system is going crazy but hopefully it will settle down as time goes on. I am in a way better mood and have more energy. I still have the effects of being able to eat less food. I still have 40 pounds to go and I hope by not being so tired and actually wanting to move that I will achieve this goal. Many think it is a miracle drug - you still have to change your diet because if you think you can keep on eating like you used to it will mess you up . . .

And the truth is that I live and work in Kuwait, so I can buy the real stuff OTC for $100/month!!! And let me tell ya - it works and it's absolutely the BEST, most effective stuff I've ever taken (besides Dr. Berg's Hair Formula (shameless plug intended!)) lol But my plan, after I'm done losing what visceral fat I have collected, is to go back and do EXACTLY as Dr. Berg suggests. I've known about these supplements he's speaking of for years and tested them, too...but now that's he's succinctly explained them - well, I'm very appreciative of getting handed my follow-up plan "after Ozempic". I have no noticeable side effects. I’m getting good results with the program I’m on at .50 of the normal prescribed dose. I ramped up very slowly to this over a few months to avoid the side effects some people get. My doctor explained to me that this is a genetic problem and I may have to stay on the drug long term. This has given me back my life. I can see this drug being a problem in the wrong hands. It’s very important to have a doctor that really understands the science and will guide you. I usually go to your videos for anything health related and there is always something on pretty much every topic..but you have been silence on this…until now. Gotta be honest, I think this topic warrants a more in depth video from you. Not just boiler plate stuff. You are my all time favorite so please don’t take as an insult. I’m just surprised you didn’t have more to say on this huge health topic.
