I started taking suppliments, when I started dieting, iron selenium, magnesium, zinc, etc, but they do not seem to have affected my " thyroid" problems. Thank you, Dr. Fung.
I don't eat because I'm hungry. I eat to soothe free floating anxiety and boredom. I think the berberine is helping.
Thank you Dr Fung! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the connection between GLP-1 and its effects on insulin resistance. I will be following your tips 👍
As always , your videos are superb . Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all . Blessings & respect .
Dr. You are saviour. Thanks for your videos. Narrow escape from getting diabetes.
Will be disciplined hereafter.
I want Dr Fung to be my doctor. 🌱♥️
I actually love bittermelon, it’s even better when it was explained how the bitterness helps to activate incretin.
It's great with scrambled eggs.
@@skoal1532thanks! Do you sauté it?
@@nancycy9039 yes, slice the bitter melon thinly as desired, then saute them with some shallots, then pour your eggs in when ready. It's a traditional Filipino dish, and I love it! I hope you enjoy it
I do not know what bitter melon is.?
@@candybaxter8879 quick google. I haven’t seen them in many stores here in the US other than Asian markets, however I have seen them in Kroger from time to time.
Thank You Dr Fung!!! Your information is helping me.
Hi Dr. Fung
Excellent video with actionable points. It makes sense now as to why we should eat more fiber, protein, fats, etc. Thank you
Will drinking lots of water also distends the stomach? I'm guessing so but there's no digestion involved so it gets flushed out rapdily.
Fantastic information Dr Fung you have consistently showed us how to naturally manage our unnatural food pyramid
NUMBER 6 REDUCE CARBOHYDRATES
Wonderful video. It confirmed that they way I am eating now is the right way! Thank you!!
Great, channel Dr. Jung. There is so much disinformation on TH-cam. Really enjoying listening to you ☺️. I am having a harder time keeping my normal weight as I get older. I am not diabetic and don’t ever want to be. I don’t want to go on some goofy guru diet…just common sense. I have always eaten in a very health conscious way, just need a little tweeking I think. So,thank you for all you do here.
Hi Dr Fung! I know this to be true because it helped easily me lose over 100+ lbs when paired with daily 16:8 IF and once a month 3-5 day EFs. Wasn't ever hungry. Energy and labs were better. I went off for a while and gained 50 lbs. back. I have since returned to my protocol but after 3 months, I'm not having any results at all. On top of that I seem to be hungrier than before with the same foods. I'm now taking berberine supplements and iodine to help with my thyroid. I also exercising for hours most days. Still, I don't know what has changed to receive no results. If you have any insight into this I would be greatly appreciative Thank you!💕
I’m curious as to why you allowed yourself to gain back 50 pounds. I would’ve thought that at 10 pounds you would’ve been alerted just saying.
Blue butterfly. That is amazing you lost 100 lbs at some point.
I lost 35 and gained 45 back 😅. Now I started again with a smaller eating window and cutting the coffee out of my life. Some say coffee raises cortisol.
I hope you find your footing again
Thank you so much Dr. Fung
Great info, as always! ❤
Thank you for the work you are making!! Can you please comment on if there can be any positive side effects of fasting on patients with primary biliary cholangitis? 🙌🏻
Thank you Dr. Fung! What are your thoughts about Allulose sweetener? Are you familiar with Dr. Perlmutter, Dr. Johnson /Lustig studies that are also showing the benefit of it having GLP1 effect.
Thanks for all you do 😊🙏
I gain when i use allulose. Seems to be just water weight but really weird.
I get GI problems from all the sweeteners, including Allulose, Erythritol, Xylitol. Watery stool within two hours.
@@teddibear1850 Wow, interesting! Maybe Dr Fung will do a video about it vs. Monk fruit and stevia, what they do etc. Or just do without? Just wondering if there could be any safe sweeteners?
I wear CGM so I can say that 10gram allulose has no effect on my blood glucose at all. What I can see is that my uric acid finally going down after using allulose daily, it was 9-12 since october and yesterday it was 6.5
@@frex555 Yes, that's what I have read. I'm using it for my brother who has gout and stage three kidney disease because of those benefits.👍
Brilliant Doc Fung.
Green tea always helps me
Marvellous 🌟 as always 🌟Thank you Dr Fung ❤
Dr Fung? Do you have any videos about long term fasting (more than 24 hours) and low blood sugar symptoms. And how to handle that
How are these hormones related to Leptin?
you Doctor, has helped me tremendously. Thank You from Kerala India
That’s why black coffee is effective it’s bitter
No it's the caffeine
I am type 2 diabetic. I took Ozempic for two weeks and went into gastroparesis. What do you suggest for weight loss for someone like me?
Dear Doctor, Could you please make a video discussing fasting and gallstones? My ultrasound showed gallstones, and I am concerned about fasting for long periods. I would like to do a 3-day water-only fast and maintain a ketogenic diet during my eating window.
Thank you! 👏👏💕
The easiest way to consistently slow gastric emptying is eat veggies, then protein/fat, then carbs as dessert. Thanks to Glucose Goddess.
Dr. Fung how does fasting affect the incretin hormones?
I wonder what is the optimal amount of fat grams to add to a meal to optimize for the GLP-1 increase without overcompensating with the increased cals from the fat? (study around 4:40 timestamp)
Thank you, dear doctor Fung!
I started the fatty liver diet, and intermittent fasting, I've worked up to a couple of water fasts.
I've lost 50 lbs, sadly I need to lose at least another 50 lbs to get to just overweight, but the weight is still coming off, so hurray!
My problems are, that a lot of the symptoms of fatty liver, have gone, or improved dramatically, which is great, but most of my symptoms that point to some form of auto immune/thyroid problems have stayed the same, even worsening.
I started taking suppliments, when I started dieting, iron selenium, magnesium, zinc, etc, but they do not seem to have affected my " thyroid" problems. The basic Thyroid test now comes back as normal.
Can anyone relate to this?
Thank you for sharing, Dr. Fung!
I started taking the probiotic Akkermansia muciniphilia which stimulates GLP1
Does bitter food include 90% dark chocolate?
Yes! Above 70% Cocoa
Very interesting and useful Dr. Fung, thank you. I am sharing your videos to my friends
