I am Kazakh and I want to try to explain the meaning of this MV. I shared my opinions with some Kazakh people, they agree with me. Kobyz is a soul, heart of Kazakh. and it bleeds like our hearts today.These days are very sad because of the pandemic of coronavirus. We have lost and are losing many people. Among these died people are Dimash's teachers, great composer,mentors. Our news are full of condolenses ( you can read about it in DimashNews). Burning Dimash means that his heart is burning with pain for people, for his native land. And the pianist died as a victim of this disease and died playing his music. The movie's name I would translate a little bit in another way because Qairan means long-suffering, Elim means my land, my country, my folk, my people. The clip begins with the sad historical pages of the Kazakhs and ends with the words : Live my Motheland, my long-suffering land, live my people ( Our history is very tragic, only during the soviet power in the 1933-1937 y we, Kazakhs, lost more than 3 million people ( half of the population) due artificially created famine. We have 9th largest country in the world but population is very small- about 19mln. Dimash is singing about our today,s sadness and tragedy.And Dimash also explained that the song and clip are with pandemic in out land connected.

Dimash directed this video along with another. Scenes are taken near Almaty, Kazachstan. Dimash shot a lot of the scenery himself. His descendants from way back in history was Genghis Con, warrior and fought many bloody wars in that time and it is symbolism of blood and war we saw at the beginning of video and those lost to war. Dimash is about peace and love in the whole world deep in his soul he expresses that in this video. Its a prayer for the fate of the world. Shows earth, water, wind and fire as symbols of hope for the WORLD in the chaos of today. .The past is mixed with the present. A lot of symbolism but nothing mean, evil or war like at all in this video regardless of beginning battle. Dimash is humble and always advocates peace & love throughout the world and his culture believe in the uplifting of children always. "Tempered cannot be broken" reference is like forging of steel making it stronger, you heart, hope & love makes you stronger. I think Dimash refers to keeping yourself stronger in these bad times we have at the present time. Режисер и оператор этого фильма талантливейший Азамат Дулатов. Димаш то же учавствовал, делал пробные шаги в режисуре и операторской работе. Получился фильм ШЭДЭВР!!! Композитор играл на фортепьяно. Очень талантливый коллектив участвовал в создании этого фильма. Отличная режисерская и операторская работа. Песня и исполнение Димашем выше всяких похвал.

Dimash is very, very deeply rooted in his culture and strongly patriotic for his country (Kazakhstan). Kazakhstan is a newly independent country (1991) who fought and lost many to get their independence. So alot of this is about that but its also his expression of the pandemic and loosing people close to him due to it. He's an incredibly old soul who's caring runs deep through him. Maybe I should have said Dimash was a co-director instead of one of the directors. I am sure there was an entire team with them while they were filming.

You are talking absolute nonsense! There is no word, no sound, no thought about Russia in this video. Why do you think so? The idea of the song was born from the coronavirus situation, the song is dedicated to the death of two mentors of Dimash from this virus.
But the clip is much wider and covers any adversity that comes across in life. The first footage shows the Mongol raids on the lands of Kazakhstan up to the 18th century. By the way, it is for this reason that, at the request of the Kazakh khans, Kazakhstan was voluntarily annexed to the Russian Empire in order to protect the Kazakhs from the Mongol attack. You have read a tremendous amount of negativity into this simple one sentence reaction. Sometimes people do write things that are not accurate, Kazakhstan history is long and complicated and not always easy to get right. I have always been extremely grateful to people who correct some of the things I say in a reaction. And I have been especially grateful for the kind way in which they have corrected me.
