    Thank you for your great reaction/review. I do appreciate your insightful take on the message conveyed in this breathtaking video. And I agree with you: when it comes to Dimash, the word “genius” is more than appropriate to say the least.
    “Qairan Elim” means “My Sacred Land”in Kazakh. This masterpiece of a song is indeed Dimash’s prayer for peace for his homeland and the world. It is hauntingly beautiful and pierces through one’s heart and soul. The majestic sound of the Kobyz (the traditional Kazakh string instrument) adds to its deep meaning in such an emotional way.
    And Bravo to Dimash on his directorial debut! The MV is a masterpiece in its own right: every single frame/shot was magnificent with all the light and color contrasts, creating a beautiful dynamics on a visual standpoint. Furthermore, all the visual metaphors that Dimash used in the video convey perfectly his powerful message.
    Here’s the link to the article about the song, explaining precisely the inspiration and meaning behind it: (Dimash’s official website)
    en.dimashnews.com/2020/08/09/a-new-video-qairan-elim-was-released-on-dimashs-channel/
    I can’t wait for Dimash to release his Kazakh album.
    P.S.: to everyone who reads this comment, please do not hesitate to subscribe to Dimash’s official TH-cam channel; leave a like and comment under his MV to show your love and appreciation. 🙏

    I can agree with almost everything you said except that everyone died. I didn’t take it that way. Dimash said something about being tempered. And something being tempered is made stronger. Dimash was on fire being tempered and therefore he comes back stronger

    • @RKGold
      @RKGold  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That makes sense I mean ultimately the song is about resiliency and becoming stronger from our trials, i think there had to be some metaphoric death the reason i used that wording was less Dimash on fire and more the pianist collapsing into the water and getting the clear shot of him floating face down

    • @RKGold

      Thank you I really appreciate it, I normally have no problem reacting the way others do it just felt off with this track, maybe because it was equally a visual experience where other songs don’t have that extra element-- I’m not sure, just something about this specific track made me feel so uncomfortable about streaming it in its entirety.

    I asked a question in the comments on Dimash’s official site about the meaning. And someone from Kazakhstan commented that (he felt) this video is about more than the pandemic. That the Kazakh people had been going through a lot with protests now (having to do with voting/elections) and their culture being slowly pushed out. He also mentioned about Kazakh people being detained in camps? I found an article on BBC and other news sources that indeed thousands of Kazakh Muslims have been detained in China’s “re-education camps” where they are tortured, beaten and given unknown injections. I had no idea. So there could be even more symbolism. Thank you for your honest opinion. And thank you also for being so considerate of Dimash and his art. Great review.

    This is Dimash's debut as a director 💜🤗💜 He is singing in Kazakh and all the scenery is around Almaty Kazakhstan.
    Dimash is very, very deeply rooted in his culture and strongly patriotic for his country (Kazakhstan). Kazakhstan is a newly independent country (1991) who fought and lost many to get their independence. So alot of this is about that but its also his expression of the pandemic and loosing people close to him due to it. He's an incredibly old soul who's caring runs deep through him. He's mentioned many times of his concern of the state of the world currently. 💙💙

    The Great Steppe... I praise your rich lands. Altai and Atyrau, Zhaiyk and Ili, Alatau and Saryarka - I praise the vastness of my native land that has witnessed my happy years! I praise the Great Steppe - the golden cradle of the Turkic world that headed the great nomad journey.
    Hey, silent world! Don't hold your breath! You have descendants who never hesitated and didn't stand by during conflicts and confrontations. This land has an owner whose kind heart and generous spirit this changeable world couldn't sway or exhause with its distorted values.
