My grandpa was my fishing buddy. He had such patience with me when I was a little girl. He taught me to love nature and take time to notice the beauty around me. He took me fishing my first time and I took him fishing his last time. I miss him so much! I can almost hear him giggle seeing you catch these monster panfish with your dad. You brought back some wonderful memories for me and I thank you for that.
Same... it was an uncle for me... sometimes it’s not always about fishing or catching for that matter. A lot of it is time out in nature and personal reflection. Catching fish is just an extra blessing!!!
Grandparents are the best. Glad you took advantage of him. “Quality” time together. Thanks for sharing. Plus, this guy is fun to watch fish. He’s quite good. Have a great night.
These trips with dad are my favorite, my dad was my fishing and hunting pardner till this year. He just can’t handle going anymore. Great fish, great channel, great videos with two great men that’s a TY PIG PATROL fishing video. Thanks again Ty for sharing your passion for the sports you love with us all. God bless this family. 🐟🎥🥇🏆🎬
@@fabfishing7422 thanks again my friend. Getting a trip to the taxidermist tomorrow myself. Not a fish, but a deer I got with my bow this week. Thank you again for more kind words and being a positive man for the big man upstairs. Good fishing to my friends at FAB FISHING. 👍🇺🇸🙏🏻
I love it. I just told my father a week ago that next spring we're going back out after almost 20yrs. Hes 81 now and we have to make some more memories before its too late. Love u papi!
This video is a few years old now, but like other comments on here, soak these moments up and appreciate them. This is a spitting image of me and my father fishing through out my life, catching whatever came our way. He loved Crappie fishing, but was just as happy to catch catfish, big blue gills/bream, bass, you name it. The lake was his true happy place and actually, this video came out right around the time that he lost his battle to cancer. I watch this video with loads of happy memories, but also a little sadness that I didnt really appreciate them at the time. I would give anything for another night on the lake with him and I hope you and your dad enjoy many more years of fishing to come.
Only Ty would go..."awww that's a bass" in disappointment 🤣 love these pan fishing with dad videos, I remember fishing bluegill with my dad, I still use rooster tail today..anyway peace and blessings
Those were some beautiful fish Ty. You ever think of taking your Pa, to lake Havasu where you were catching those crazy big ones. Y’all would have a blast
@@theriverpimp4668 I find it one of the most versitle lures..I can hit the creek with trout, today was crappie and yellow perch with the same orange rooster tail, gold flash...
I have never seen one that size, nor that colour. I was amazed at the extra flesh around his head. I love the videos with you and your Dad, they are fun and really good for our hearts. Hi to your Dad - My Dad never was big on fishing and no one really wanted him in our boat as we almost never caught anything. The other boats would be overflowing. Dad's 85 and as he says, his fishing days are over (thank heavens). Thank you!
Missed last few videos. We lost daddy first of the month. He would have been 87 in October. Treasure all these videos Ty. You have them to watch for many years to come. Some big beautiful dinner plates dear. 👍
When it says it’s the most insane bluegill YOU have ever saw I can’t click fast enough. Because I know you’ve caught (and shown) some freak size bluegill.
It’s great watching you fish with your father. My dad is who taught me how to fish and we used to catch bluegill together like crazy. Those were awesome times 👍
Thicker than a Snicker again! Love the time you spend with Dad but Dad you have got to catch the biggest at least once! Hope things are awesome south of the equator. Can't wait for you to get back and share it all with us! Thanks Ty and Dad
Your catch brought me back a great memory. I was about 18 year's old the last time I went fishing with my best friend before he left to war back in 2008. He died serving his country. I remember I caught a fish similar in size and actual color. I have XL hand and I couldn't grab it from it's belly to it's top fin. That was the last time we hung out and got buzzed together. I haven't fished since then but your video has sparked the old fish brain agian. Great video.👍👍
Back in the ‘60’s, my Daddy, my older brother and I were able to access a very large private lake in central Louisiana. We were able to catch many of these shellcracker/bluegill hybrids. It was the first time we had come across these and were amazed that the two species would interbreed. They were as large as the big guy you released and we did some freezer filling that day. Those fish put up a fight and we had a great time catching them. They sure did taste good too. We were not considered poor but fishing and hunting was still necessary for food. I was two days old when Daddy first took me with him for a day of fishing. Momma came along with us at first but when I reached the ripe old age of two weeks, Daddy decided that Momma was moddly coddling me a bit too much. On that day, he picked me up under one arm, a bucket with my diapers, clothes, bottles and formula with his free hand and we headed to the lake. Daddy laid a blanket down in the boat, placed me on it and positioned an umbrella over me to protect me from the sun’s rays. I kicked and played with my toes while he fished and talked to me. I spent much of my childhood running wild through those swamps, being taught how to hunt, fish and survive. Daddy was serious about education though. If my report card grades didn’t seem up to par to him, I found myself being left home with strict orders to study everyday. When my report card again had A’s for every area of study, I was allowed to go with him to the swamps again. Those were wonderful times and now that I’m old, I have many priceless memories. May our Precious Lord Jesus Bless all of your outdoors experiences and I hope that today’s sportsmen and women will teach the next generation the wonders of outdoor life. 🙏✝️
Very entertaining and brings back memories when I was a kid fishing for bluegill at this tiny lake in Western New York. I think panfish are my favorite target species.
WHAAAAAAT? That’s a trip! I don’t even know what to say about that one. Somehow .......someway this man finds a way to outdo himself.........You don’t see this type of fishing on any other channel.......THE BEST ONE DOING IT.........HE DESERVES SOOOO MANY MORE SUBS. You know I have watched plenty of fishing vids but none where the creator fishes with his pops. Always puts a smile on my face. I like the respect you show him you can tell you were raised right.
Very nice! Big ‘gills like that were known as Chinquapin Brim in Louisiana. I guess the Caddo Indians or another tribe named them that. We could find them by very quietly sneaking up on them in a pirogue and when you are close to the bed, you will smell a very intense fishy smell. Something from the beds just comes to the surface. Brings back lots of great memories!
I miss fishing with my Dad, he passed 6 years ago this month, anyways, he was my fishing buddy ever since I was little, I believe that I went fishing with him more than my other brothers, in fact I know I did. But he loved bluegill fishing and Carp fishing. I haven’t been very much since he passed, I think I’ve only been just 3 times or so since he got too sick to go. Anyhow, good stuff Ty, as always!
Your Dad should be in the next Matrix movie. The way he keeps dodging your jigheads and hooks. It is also amazes me how you and your Dad can maneuver on that little boat. Great video Sir.
What’s up Ty I’m glad you have your father with you on this fishing trip as we get older we need our quality time with our kids, blue gills are some of the best eating fresh water fish, nice fish and great video.
