I bought this camera awhile ago it was between this or a mavic mini 2.
Reason between those 2: I'm a single father with a 9yr old daughter and I have so many pictures of her and not that many with the two of us because it's harder to get non selfie like pictures if it's just me shooting. The drone would've been easy to take pictures from a distance. Long story short with the invisible selfie stick and 360 recording capability. This camera is hands down the best thing that came into my life just as a parent who wants to capture memories for my daughter.
The same choice 😂 I bought onex2 , was looking for mini 2.
For running kids x2 is safer and overall better choice. You don’t need to worry about camera angel all done after…. Mini is the best travel drone for videos

Nice quick review, footage… perhaps mentioning lens protectors highly advisable (bought as accessories) as the lenses are vulnerable to scratches or damage.

Great video! this is exactly what I wanted a review of this camera to be like, straightforward, showing what it can do and the pros and the cons. I do have a question though: I want to take this camera with me on holiday and I saw the snorkelling footage was that recorded with or without a diving case? I want to be sure I don't ruin the camera while snorkelling even though I won't be going so deep into the ocean.
My question is the same. One video says that you have to buy a diveCase and another video says that "no problem! it's waterproof"... what is the truth?
@@andorandroczki1066 I still don't have any answers to be honest but I did end up buying a gopro hero 8 without dive case and that works really well underwater without any problems and it's advertised to roughly the same depths as the insta 360. just make sure you don't go crazy deep.

I've had it for a while now and I love it..... Literally the only down side for is the protruding lenses that can get scratched. So am just a bit more careful with it then a GoPro. Other then that it's amazing

for underwater footage you really need the dive case, otherwise it's not sharp enough

how's the setting that u use to get high resolution video? is it manual or auto mode? how's the setting of your manual mode?
Mine failed after being underwater for the first time. It was fully sealed and water got into one camera. Electronics continue to work except one camera. They said they would have to look at my camera in the USA to expidite, but they coordinated shipping so I have to send it back to the factory in Hong Gong to be looked it.
I would stick with GoPro, they have much better desktop software. Insta360 desktop software is awful. Maybe I'll have a working unit by Fall.

The color grading on 360 footage is the same as normal footage?
You can film in log, which gives you some colour grading potential. Better than gopro IMO

There is a microphone adapter that plug into the side of it. It depends if the basic sound isn't good enough.

My Insta 360 X2 got water in the front lens after being under for 30 seconds for the first time. The battery and USB compartment was fully sealed. And the unit never got water in those areas. The front-facing lens is forever fogged with water. The unit continues to run fine, just with one camera forever blurry. Good luck with your warranty! FAIL
