- Feminism is widely misunderstood not only in India but across the world. In fact, it is a liberating way of thinking for both men and women. Relations between boys and girls are fast changing today. We need to listen to each other, talk to each other, to make the world a better place where respect, dignity and above all freedom is a reality for everyone across genders, castes, faiths or socio-economic status. Prof. Medha Kotwal Lele has been actively associated with the Women’s Movement in western India since 1975. She is a Founder member & Managing Trustee of Aalochana Centre for Documentation and Research on Women, Pune. Aalochana is one of the first women’s resource centers in the state of Maharashtra (1989). Its special contribution has been in providing all kinds of women centric information in Marathi and not in English alone.
Medha has been involved in conducting training programs for rural women’s empowerment and leadership under a large UNDP Panchayati Raj project. 33% reservation for women which came with the 73rd &74th amendment of the Indian constitution opened up this opportunity for thousands of women.
Prof Medha Kotwal holds a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Pune (1988) and has taught at various local colleges.
She teaches “Social Justice” and ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ at the Alliance for Global Education, Pune for almost 10 years. She was the Director of a study abroad program known as ACM (Associated Colleges of Mid- West, USA) 2018-19
She was invited to speak at international conferences including USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Kampuchea.
She has been Guest Lecturer at several institutes in Pune, including: YASHADA (Govt. of Maharashtra’s Training Institute for Civil Servants), SNDT University, Mumbai; SNDT University, Karve Institute of Social Science, ILS Law College, MIT School of Government.
She has been an NGO Representative on the Sexual Harassment Committee of Life Insurance Corporation of India. Pune, from 2006 to 2008, and IUCCA from 2015 to 2019. My issue is the fact that women aren't weak at everything. The issue is they are weak at things they decide they don't want to do. If feminism is to survive with its integrity in tact, women really have to give up the "girl card". you know, that time where they order their men around because it's too heavy or too hard or too whatever. even though they are fully capable of it. but when you call them out, I'm the bad guy. because I'm a guy. so the conflict of feminism and equality is that they dont seem to be in agreement. equality to me shouldn't be limited to legal right. it should extend to social justice where the woman is accountable for every thing she does just as much as men. if a man want's to a gentleman, let him be. if a woman wants to be a lady them her be. but does being a lady mean she can't be made to carry her own weight at everything while still be a loving wife? because men are made to just swallow eveything a woman wants him to swallow and still be chivalrous.

that is simply not possible, men due to evolution, were always the once who went out of the caves to find protect and provide for there families as women were physically very weak during pregnancies and needed a man to protect them that is why, Men's bodies were physically built to protect them. that is why we are taller, more muscular and more bone density and higher testosterone levels that is why men are said to do stuff like lift heavy weight, bulidig roads and houses etc. that's why they ask us to do these stuff as they have been evolved this way.

If feminism is all about equality then why don't feminism ask women to strive for jobs like construction, police forces , army, truck driving, mechanical jobs, maintenance, mining, bricklayer, roofer, electricians, logger, IT developers, etc. If you look around you'll see that almost everything around you was build by men. I'll be so happy if the feminism change that and I start seeing women building roads, buildings, sidewalks, furniture, etc. But we all know that this will never happen.
If feminism is all about equality then they should ask women to approach men, to pay for the dinner, the cinema, to drive their men around, to buy him gifts and jewelry. To repair stuff at home and not call the maintenance guys. And women should not only approach men, they should approach regular average guys, not just the tall, hot, rich , cocky ones. Because it's not fair to approach just the good guys, the average ones deserve to be approached too, they too need that equality right?

I don't know why my TH-cam feed shows this😂. But after watching this video for a while, I feel gender equality brings a balance in the society. But I have a doubt if people who talk on women power and so on know what exactly gender equality is. Is it Men=Women or Women>Men or Men>Women? People who have the wrong answer for this will continue to keep the society in unbalanced way.
My girlfriend is a stay at home mother, she wants a part time job when the kids are older, but never a full time job.
She wants to work in a kindergarten, because she likes children and is also educated to do so.
I work part time right now, but enough to support us. I've just applied to a leadership position, like I've had before the kids and plan to go that route because it interests me.
I will always make more money than her, both monthly and on an hourly basis. Money doesn't mean that much to either of us as long as we have enough.
She's one of those women responsible for the "wage gap" because of her nature and choices.

In my school days the teacher will force us to read books in library in physical period.
