      Odd that feminists never say anything about the extreme misogyny of 1slam. Like all lefties that cower when any real danger shows up. If feminists think they are not seen as infidels to be dealt with they are beyond delusional. Feminism was always about destroying the western world not woman's rights. Islam has misogyny built in that the western world has never experienced.Islam does not give a rats about white female privilege no matter the socioeconomic status or class. 5:28 that bit about girls growing up feeling as victims because of their gender; We’re seeing that in men too.
    This isn’t to take away from the experiences of girls/women, not at all. I’m trying to say that it’s something we can recognise on both sides. There’s a growing number of men, particularly young men, who feel that they are being treated badly or stereotyped for their gender, and it becomes anger, and a feeling of being a victim.
    I’m not saying this as a competition, this isn’t a “who has it worse” competition. It just occurred to me that it’s a problem that affects both sides.
    Anyway back to finishing the video :)

It's not fair to seek vengeance on a whole gender, play oppression Olympics, and calling any man who disagree with this form of extremism an incel, and misogynist. • @Luna-ux9by
      @Luna-ux9by 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course outcome shouldn't be given on a plate, but outcome absolutely matters. If women, men or any group are getting a worse outcome then it needs to be adressed.
      For example, male suicide rates are a lot higher, despite men and women having equal rights and access to psychological/psychiatric help ( and DESPITE the fact women's troubles tend to be dismissed as irrational, overall health not taken seriously, look it up).
      Nevertheless, isn't men's outcome concering? Similar to women having worse outcomes in other areas.

    • @evanwheeler634
      @evanwheeler634 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Outcome absolutely matters on a societal level. As a society, we should prioritize that for people who achieve identical paths from similar starting points besides gender that the outcomes should be relatively similar. The problem lies in not acknowledging the starting points.
      Certain expectations in society exist for men and women that are corrosive to this project, but at an individual level don’t seem that bad until you come to that problem of “all else equal” comparisons. For example, men being the only eligible draftees in some countries of course leads to earlier death with all else equal comparisons.
      When people talk about equality of opportunity, I really see a complaint, on an individual level, about the lack of responsibility certain people have about their starting situation. The critics of equal outcome believe that we shouldn’t just give a pass to folks who would benefit from those changes who may be benefiting from some other advantage of gender inequality. For example, Giving men the sole duty of being drafted engenders them with expected social respect or honor for service on behalf of the state because they took the risk. From personal experience asking women in America how they feel about being drafted, they acknowledge the tradeoff of their position and are often hesitant to accept the draft as a solution to gender equality because they are benefiting from not accepting the risk. However, That’s why patriarchy exists due to this agreement that both parties are content at an individual level.
      That’s why we should 150% respect female volunteers because not only do they fight to give up the benefit of mitigating risk of death, but they fight for achieving some of the social benefits associated with service. (Which Hegseth ideologically is opposed to because of his own stake as a man and his sexist beliefs)
      Equality of opportunity obscures that fact by stating people have the opportunity to benefit from their current scheme without acknowledging the cost. Paradoxically, this actually limits the opportunities for certain groups to have certain experiences. Fundamentally, everyone is in the game of accepting certain tradeoffs or exchanging benefits in one scheme to benefits in another. Ideally, a good solution to the draft is to not have one at all and pursue alternatives through volunteer recruitment. Otherwise if outcomes are to be achieved, we should institute a draft that does not consider gender. These would be the true equality in opportunity positions. Changes like these requires that people look at their situation, what they benefit from, and think about what would be socially beneficial for all. It’s about responsibility which unfortunately is obscured under patriarchy or frankly, any system of power that prioritizes the needs of a narrow identity.

    The simple fact that more boys are born than girls, yet in the West, by the age of 40, there are more women than men. Why? Because men are much more likely to die from crime or suicide or accidents on building sights, or as police, firefighters and men in the armed forces. Girls are better educated because we have gone from 60% female teachers in 1974 to 96% female teachers in 2019. Education has been feminized, with the lack of male teachers and lack of fathers involvement in their kids, young boys are adrift.

    Several issues of logic and content here. 1) Many times more women die from domestic violence than men in the world. This is an indisputable statistical fact. Does this mean feminists go around calling all women -in general -victims? No. 2) One of the pillars of feminism is that women are overly sexualized and objectified. This lecture confuses a cultural issue or the influence of Hollywood for feminism. Uneducated Hollywood celebrities and behavioural trends in young women are obviously no source for what is modern feminism. Are there problems with modern feminism? Yes. But this talk did a bad job of addressing them.

      This statement is a great example of exactly the mindset she was addressing, with her challenge to feminists who position women as uniquely victimized more so than men. Sure, many times more women die from domestic violence. But on the other hand, exponentially more men die from war than women. Many many times more men are incarcerated. Something like 92% of all workplace injuries and deaths are of men. The majority of homeless people are men. So to her point, unfortunately, there is plenty of pain and suffering to go around and women need to stop making a unique claim to it.

      @@denisemewbourne6976 You are comparing apples to oranges. Men commit more crime, particularly violent crime, that is why more are in jail. Men traditionally chose riskier (better paid) professions. Men volunteer to go into the military in the West. These are choices, sometimes on a societal level. None of these things does anything to refute my criticism of this video. In fact, it goes to show how desperate some people are to deny how male violence is still a huge problem.

    Something seems a bit odd about the facts that women have earned more Bachelor's degrees than men for 30 years and yet occupy only 7% of top management positions. Can lack of ambition explain this huge discrepancy? Or perhaps the discrepancy is a sign that the deck is severely stacked against women, and they are responding to this by getting degrees in greater numbers.

      But 87% of homeless in UK (Office for national statistics 2018) are men and 94% of all work place deaths are male (USA figure around 5000 per year).... see no point throwing out different stats about different things....0.0001% of people are in top management positions, the break down of male and female is independant of bachelor degrees or other things

      Bad degrees. Can't do much with a degree in women's studies. And I know lots who end up staying home after having a family. The deck isn't stacked against women. If they want, they can rise in the ranks. If they embrace victimhood, they always have an excuse. Excuses get you nowhere. After I had my kids, work wasn't as important. I'm a manager now, but not sure I really want to be due to time commitments and kids activities. I like the pay though.

      There are some 150 generally more degrees for women than men, many of them, like gender studies, is highly irrelevant and pretty unapplicable to most of society. College has, as an institution, taken advantage of a mindset that is nothing more than a bunch of women being duped by salesmen.

    I’m sorry but young women are not being taught to be victims… they are being taught that it is there right to play both the victim and the empowered at the same time, then to place both feet in whichever camp will get them whatever they want the fastest or earn them the most money with the least amount of effort, openly saying in the streets that “all men should die”. They are being taught that this is okay to say such things, that it their right to do so, that these statements are fair and correct. Absolutely abhorrent behaviour. Never would any good man think such things let alone say them in public nor would they stand by listening to another man proclaim such foul statements.

    I think the issue when talking about gender-based violence, from both feminists and non-feminists, is how we frame it. Globally, and in many countries, there are more male victims of violence, but who is committing it all and what are the circumstances? Men are more likely to get into violent altercations as a result of pressures to embrace toxic masculinity. Women are also more likely to experience domestic violence, again as a result of toxic masculinity. So yes, women are not super-victims, but gender politics and feminism are still relevant.

      @joannalidwin9006 ปีที่แล้ว

      @NerdinessD I am not an ordinary woman so it’s little bit different, but my friends have it on a daily basis, some inconveniences are very subtle and little some are severe, sometimes it’s just other mens laugh, sometimes it’s fear of getting hurt and taken advantage of. It really depends on who you confront and who you’re friends with, but the one I’m sure about is the mothers who aren’t taken seriously, these women not only work but do most of unpaid work ( laundry, home cleaning, groceries, cooking, carrying for kids and so on) and people still tell they do nothing, when husbands work and then mostly relax and have free time, not saying that they do nothing, they do much less. And of course it’s the generalization, some people are different but most families are just like I said.
