    I love the Aetas❤️ They saved my family during WW2. They hid and fed my family from the Japanese troops.Every time my grandma would come back to the Philippines she visits the Aetas and give them gifts until the day she died. She taught me to always love and respect them. ❤️🇵🇭🥰💕😍

    Did you know that Pinatubo is the second most destructive natural disaster of the 20th century. Its Ash cloud reached Manila when it irrupted back in July 1991!
    So many people lost their homes, families and lives to this volcanic eruption. We are happy to have been able to visit such an iconic place in history.
    Sorry we didn't reflect much on it in the vlog, we forgot to discuss on camera due to tiredness after an action packed day! We know some of you witnessed it and seen it happen.
    We send our love out to everyone who was affected.
    On abrighter note, HAPPY Holy week guys, hope you have a great weekend!🇵🇭

      The trek going there where you see large portions of the mountains were carved is where the lava flowed. I was in Batangas, nasugbu beach farther than Tagaytay when it exploded and the clouds reached our area and it really darkened the sky. I never forgot that day coz going home the clouds covered the roads in tagaytay going back to Manila

      1991 Mt Pinatubo disaster was the 2nd most memorable disaster in the Philippines after July 16, 1990 earthquake, which really destroyed a lot of buildings/houses in Baguio City (our house was one of them) and also lost a lot lives.

      @nico we can only imagine what it was like that day, we really appreciate being able to speak to people on youtube that was around at the time and had there own experiences during this time. It gives a insight for us to know how it was during the days after the erruption so thank you for sharing your story with us.

      @peter thats insane how the dust and clouds reached so far all the way to tagaytay thats atleast 2 hours south of manila... so far from zambales. Its very interesting to hear the accounts of all of you guys that had your own experiences during the erruption. We are just glad that you was able to make it back home safely and then found us and was able to share your story with us. thank you very much for that

    I'm so touched of your visit to the Aetas. These people tend isolate their selves from the outside world because people look at them differently. I was crying while watching this video. I dont wish the aetas to be out in the open world because out there is already polluted. They are happy and contented where they are. Just hoping that the government give them all facilities and services that they need.

      Aww elle, so glad that you was touched by this video. We spent a lot of time on it so it's good to know that how we felt was put into the video too and other people have the same emotions watching it. Truely blessed to have been welcomed into their village to spend time with them they're so welcoming. Even though we couldn't communicate we still shared love. I too hope that they receive everything they need.

    it's really amazing im' sure for foreigners that they can speak to almost anyone in the philippines....see those random kids out in the fields and they could speak and understand english...one of the advantages really of the philippines over its neighbors (and of course, the joy of interacting with pinoy kids is really something else...the pure laughter...the innocence....the friendliness instilled from the young age...) ahhh... i miss the philippines so much :(

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the philippines has our heart fully, its just the culture here to be so so friendly so helpfull and it makes us feel as foreigners that we are always safe were ever we travel to which is why we travel so far away from tourist destinations because of how safe we feel. It really is a credit to the philippines. The only other country that we have felt this from in asia is malaysia, so its no surprise to me that malaysians and filipinos are of the same people because both have the same traits

    Here I am doing my homework as promised, and couldn’t wait to see the climb of the mount Pinatubo, that is amazing, but what I really loved was the joy of those kids playing. During the last 2 weeks, there in the Philippines with my son, this was one of my priorities, showing him that, those kids with so little have a great joy of life and they don’t need any expensive toys to have fun and smile. Life is far from being easy to them, but they take it on a positive way.

We travel a lot and what I always keep in my mind, is leave the world a little better than you found it, that can mean many things such as picking up rubbish on a beach to giving your time to people who can appreciate it. When I was in the UK i'm also fascinated with the views like jurassic coast, devon, vineyard in dorking and the scenic views in scotland. Maybe we Filipinos are so used to our own nature that sometimes it becomes less thrilling but ofcourse they are beautiful. Enjoy the journey. Thank you for visiting the Aeta people. Not may feature em. These people were the descendants of some of the tribes that lived in the Philippines before the Spaniards and other people came. If you read about em, they resemble the Aboriginal people of Australia, not sure if they are related. Now, there are a few of them spread around the Philippines, some can also be found in other provinces like Camarines Norte and Cagayan. If you go to Mindoro province, you would see the other tribes, you will see the Mangyan tribe. There is also a Mangyan child there with blue eyes featured once on TV. You guys may want to explore that (Mindoro) province next.

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wowwww. How beautiful. Blue eyes?! We actually visit mindoro next so hopefully we can explore the tribes there and see if we can interact with them as we loved our time in pinatubo with them. ❤️
      Thankyou for the info. We will try a nd remember this.

    The Aetas are all around you when you started the trip. Your guide looks like an aeta. There were even aetas kids around the jeep.
    PC Games, PS4, App Games, nintendo, internet. Those kids just need paper airplanes, spiders and a piece of broken wheel and its hours of fun. Real Genuine fun.
    "Keeping it Real" as what you both said. And that's what you both are. Experiencing, appreciating and loving what is in front of you.
    God Bless both of you.

    • @jmj4267ify
      @jmj4267ify 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, definitely enjoyed the whole video ... Here in Iloilo, I can only count in my fingers how many times I've seen some Aeta's passing by ... They are known as the 'First-Settlers' of the Philippine archipelago, before my ethnic group "The Malays" came over and immigrated from the neighboring Southeast Asian kingdoms ... The third, or maybe the 4th-wave, were the Europeans (Spaniards), although the first expedition was headed by a Portuguese explorer "Fernão de Magalhães" ... The truth is that these Aetas are not receptive towards "Western Civilization", and they don't live side by side with Malays ... They just stay in the mountain villages, which I'm sure is what they feel as their natural habitat ... Generally, they are a peaceful people ... Guess what, I can't recall in my lifetime of ever hearing one crime committed by an Aeta being reported on the news.

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They was very very welcoming to us just like anywere we visit in philippines, we are just really fasinated with them because of there hair and the african look they have. Also we dobt believe you are a real traveller until you experience the full culture of the country, i feel like we are getting there now 😊 btw we was at the iloilo procession today at molo church hehe

    • @jmj4267ify
      @jmj4267ify 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whoa! ... So you're both here in town? .. That's cool, and Welcome Back ... We used to live in a street in the 'city proper area' where standing nearby is the "Aglipayan Church" in our neighborhood, and we used to see firsthand how the church people were preparing their respective Floats with meticulously-adorned religious statues, which is an annual tradition ... This is the first time in my life I've missed that event, becoz we sold our old house only in October of last year, and we now live in a different area.

  • @Mari443Garrett1
    @Mari443Garrett1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Those Aeta children are so cute.. lol. And it's so good to see children actually playing with simple toys as paper airplanes, bomerangs and simply just running around instead of having their faces buried on cellphones like most Filipino children this days. Also their in the end them playing with spiders and speaking in English. So cool. Thank you for sharing.

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes for sure it's beautiful to watch the kids enjoy the simple things. They will appreciate things more than we do. But we truely appreciate this experience and learnt a lot from those kids. 💗

    This was awesome guys. Austronesians, Polynesians, and Malay were the first wave of settlers in the Philippines. The second groups were from neighboring countries such as Sumatra, Moluccas, Borneo, Formosa, Hebrews, Indians, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, Moors etc. And the third group were the conquistadors or Europeans Spaniards/Iberians/Mexicans, British, and the Americans. Not many people know this, and also that is why they are quite a mix of cultures in these isles.

    • @CoshanUncharted
      @CoshanUncharted  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is so so fascinating, like so many filipinos have dark skin maybe even darker then me which is crazy but my height confuses EVERYONE in the philippines lol im 6ft 3, you can definitly tell between the mixes by looking at people

    • @astridquotidian
      @astridquotidian 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CoshanUncharted We're Austro-Polynesians so we're on the smaller side but our skin does turn way on the darker side especially those living by the sea and mountain regions, (the Spaniards called us Indios and Negritos and still call ourselves that at times in case you hear them say) most Filipinos you see nowadays spend time indoors so they have lighter complexion but we're naturally darker brown. lol they would love to have your height so they can play basketball, you can probably tell by now that it's a staple in every island and street corner.
