Comparing Kagali to Johannesburg is a big MISTAKE! Remember that Sandton is Johannesburg and it is regarded as one of the best city in the world.
Kigali still have a long way to go. Compare Kigali to Windhoek.

There's is this comment about the size of the country that pisses me off.
People argue as if they never went to school.
The size corresponds with the resources and the tax base.
So you can't say Rwanda is developed because it is small.
Putting that aside,if Rwanda had the mineral resources that SA and Nigeria had, where do you think it would be.
Kagame has done what no other African president can do.
    No corruption.
    Very safe.
    Good infrastructure.
    And many others.
    I am from Uganda.

It's definitely cheaper = easier to develop a smaller country than a large one.

Population wise, a country with a smaller population is much easier to develop both infrastructural, and HDI

As a white South African, I'd like to thank you for making this video. My heart bleeds when I see how run down our once world class cities are. My hope is that your video would inspire my fellow citizens to aspire for better than this, to realise that things can be better than this, we don't have to accept it, and most importantly, that you don't need to be white in order to expect excellence. My hope is that my fellow South Africans would demand more from their government, and aspire to make South Africa the world class country it could and should be. I believe that the problem is not the color of people, but mass immigration, the excess of poor migrants who are willing to break rules and destroy other people's countries in the name of their struggle to obtain a better life.
ex: for anyone who has been to Paris, which is governed by white people, just see how the peripheral neighborhoods are becoming very violent and dirty, because of the number of migrants with low education and beggars, the majority of whom are migrants from Europe Eastern . , Pakistan and West Africa + Maghreb.
The same phenomenon can be observed in the south of France and in almost all large cities, medium-sized cities are also being affected.
If we go to Portugal the same thing happens, with an excess of Brazilian and Pakistani migrants who don't respect the rules (at least in Portugal, black migrants who speak Portuguese are not the worst and are more welcome than Brazilians or Pakistanis) and all African migrants If they were like those from Lusofonia, perhaps Johannesburg would not be like this and Europe would not be destroyed.

Sandton and the old downtown are run by same municipal government. You can blame them for allocating resources to one part of the city and neglecting the other, but it’s the same people who run it. Remember both districts are in Johannesburg.

    • @dannosh4529
      @dannosh4529 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@Philasande_Shange you got it all wrong. In a functional capitalist system, resources are not allocated according to needs but according to tax contribution to the treasury. It is like the biblical saying. To those who have, more shall be added. In other words, it is not the government that builds or develops cities. It is the people. The more hardworking and productive people are, the more taxes they pay, the more allocation of finance for better roads and infrastructure, and vice versa. Doing otherwise would be tantamount to robbing Peter to pay Paul. It would remove incentives for people to work harder, to pay more taxes.

How do we as "black" South African let our black government to allow good infrastructural foundation built on blood, sweat and tears go to waste under our watch (or sleep) = negligence....when even Rwanda who experienced public disturbance but started rebuilding from "scratch" is better maintained. It's embarrassing and a time to change our mediocre thought patterns......unless we genuinely think we're substandard to "Caucasians" or other "races", in which case, then we as "black" people are racist to ourselves, if we think we don't deserve excellence(quality, the best humanly possible, etc), can't uphold or create observable excellence...based on that logic, we should stop to complain if other "races" are racist towards us. Surely, they learn from our treatment of ourselves. Remember....Without honesty, there stands to be no proper diagnosis. Those who value true honesty rather than the so-called subjective honesty, aka, lies, will probably concur....God bless.

The Good parts of Joburg that are clean and well managed by the corrupt ANC government are bigger, cleaner, infra-structurally and aesthetically more developed than the city center or downtown of lagos island, Kigali, abuja (Wuse II, Maitama, Asokoro,Garki)and Luanda put together. I have been to all these places so I know. Check out Benoni, Sandton, houghton park, Kempton park, Endenvale , Germiston, Midrand.
Visit Capetown, it is governed by the DA( Democratic Alliance, a white dominated party) Capetown is world class city with very limited street trading. Please do a video on Capetown.

Nigeria is the giant of Africa... The problem is you think everything futuristic is perfect except in Europe... Go back in time and you will know the truth...
Nigeria has ancient cities that are like 1000 years and their companies make things indegenously...
    Plus Nigeria has 26 cities...
Innoson makes their own cars, they make their own drones, the new refinery, they are even making computers... Solar industries
South Africans mostly just talk about luxury... They have a huge per capita on big countries... But Nigeria is a beast...
People say china is ahead of USA because everything we use comes from China but USA is more luxurious... Australia and canada are also luxarious but not giants in anything... It takes more than per capita...
Plus Nigeria has it's own architecture

Plus Abuja is the most planned city in Africa... A newer Nigerian city or eko Atlantic which is right now at the building stage and will start appearing
The problem with Africans, you want to measure development not with tech but with the indegenous Africans whom you now call poor, lol... Those people herding their own sheeps prevents development in Nigeria?

@@AfricasRealities yeah, and South Africa looked easier to 'steal' because it was far from the known African civilizations, do the Europeans just thought thy would go there, pretend to help, teach them false history, takeover... That was before pan africanism... So the Europeans made a system, unlike Nigeria that the Europeans had to negotiate deals with and even helped in their USA project....
That's why everywhere where the Europeans 'civilized' has forgotten that greatness existed in africa before GDP counts

All these cities are under 750k; by your reasoning, they are not cities; would that be correct?

I agree with you, most people in Africa are greedy, they approach you with interest and even when they offer "help" they generally ask for money in return, worse than those in West Africa and those in Central Africa. Those from East Africa (Ethiopia and Kenya) (with the exception of Mozambicans who seem to me to be very humble people) and the Maghreb also like to exploit foreigners, they are dishonest and sell the same product at a thousand different prices depending on who is buying it.
The Rwandans don't seem greedy to me, but they are also not humble people in my opinion. However, they are not proud like the Nigerians, Ivorians and Congolese.

therefore the Nigerian people need to change their mindset. I thought the Congolese in the DRC were the worst. So I would like to live in Nigeria, after all I like to live with honest people

Ethnically speaking, Tutsis and Hutus are not the same people and do not have the same ancestry. Science can prove this with a simple ancestry test that many people do today, and just by looking at them you can see. The Tutsis look like the people of Kenya and those of Uganda, Ethiopia and Yemen are also like that, even the accent is similar when they speak Luganda and Kinyarwanda. Hutus, on the other hand, look like the people of central Africa.
For me, the genocide was not caused by them discovering that one (Tutsis) were foreigners, but by the fact that they were cold-blooded, because in my country there are people from completely different linguistic groups and there are natives of a different race, but that's not why there was genocide.
The problem is not accepting other people's differences. intolerance.
According to the story told by Europeans, the Bantu-speaking people are the foreigners from southern Africa and the Khoisans are the local indigenous people, and they even theorize that the local Bantu-speaking Himbas originate from Ethiopia
but that's not why the Bushmen/Khoisans decided to kill the Bantus or vice versa.
I don't know if science got the origins of these people right, I just know that this is no reason to hate your neighbor and kill them
