Excellent video. This is the best summary of this option on TH-cam by far. Very concise and yet it is clear, going through every step, not assuming prior knowledge, like other videos. Thank you.
Thanks for explaining. I didn't know this was even possible. LOL. Been hell presenting presentations without my notes all these years. :P I searched it up, but Microsoft explains it very badly. Thanks for a nice explanation. I learned something quite good and crucial for my upcoming presentation. :)
Thanks for the feedback and question. It depends on the settings. The default is that everyone in the same organisation is a Presenter but this can be changed by the organiser. If you're external the Organiser can make you a presenter.
Thank you sooooooooooooooooo much. You're a brilliant, amazing man and so kind to help others without any fee. God bless you and your family. I'll never skip any ad. here and I subscribed.
Hi Prisha, Thank you for your feedback. Glad you found it useful. Hope all goes well with your presentation. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
Hi Lindsay, thanks for watching. Good question. I would suggest using the second method in this video to be able to see Chat and your notes at the same time. If your notes are in the slides in PowerPoint, you can print Notes Pages as a Pdf and use this on the screen. I did try a few things using the first method in this video, there's no way to continously have Chat on display whilst using Presenter View. You can press Alt tab (PC shortcut) to bring up the Chat window from PowerPoint but when you click back to Presenter view it will disappear again. Not ideal but at least you can check Chat from time to time during the presentation.
Hi, looks like a few of us are having the same problem. I've just done 2 Teams presentations today where I'd hoped to share the full slides while I could see my notes. After sharing, I clicked on the presenter view option, but the full slide still came up for both me and the viewers. Is this because it wasn't 'my meeting'. In both cases, I was joining someone else's Teams meeting. When practising beforehand, everything had worked perfectly......but this was in a meeting that I'd started. Great tutorials by the way!! :)
@@marygarner61 Hi Mary, Thank you for your feedback on my tutorials, glad you find them useful :) Sounds like a step is being missed, it should work even if you're not the organiser of the meeting. Before you start sharing, ensure the Use Presenter View is selected in PowerPoint, then start your slideshow, click More options from the slide show, select Show Presenter view. Then go back to Teams, share the PowerPoint slideshow window. If needed you can resize this window when it opens. Please let me know if this works ok for you. If you need further help with this, please email me at support@ReadySteadyXL.com Thanks for watching :)
Hi, great video! Can I just check, the presentation attendees don't see a small version of the presentation do they? Is it definitely full screen when you are using the first method?
Thanks for your feedback. You need to click on the eye 👁 to stop people clicking through your slides. This should be at the top of the screen. Please let me know if you need more help with this.
Use PowerPoint Live instead from within the Teams meeting. Your notes will be on screen but no one else can see this. Please let me know if you need further help.
Hi Gabriella, Sorry for the late reply, if you selected one of the thumbnails under Window section when sharing from Teams, you should be able to resize the application and the red line will adjust with it. Please let me know if you need further help with this.
Hi Prisha, Good question but sadly at the moment there isn't a way to view your notes on the mobile whilst you do your presentation. Hopefully this will be updated soon.
Hopefully your audience are mesmerised by your presentation they won't notice your eyes! 🤣....Jokes aside, it's a shame the text doesn't appear under the camera. Nvidia have an AI tool that corrects your eyes and head, so it appears that you're looking at the camera but might use up a lot of system resources.

CTRL shift and X adds the notes if you have added the PPT from Browse rather than the desk top

So if you do this then the others won't be able to see your notes right? They will only be able to see the slides?
Hi Eleni, that's correct.
Thanks so much Tony! Does this work if you are using teams on a weblink rather then having the application installed on your system?
Hi Nitish, this will work in a similar way on the Teams Web version. Please let me know if you need further help.

@@ReadySteadyExcel I m not using it now. Was looking for such ideas for my future work. Thanks
I have to turn my camera on during the presentation. Would they be able to see my notes?
They won't be able to see your notes
Thank you so much
Hi Bolormaa, You're very welcome. Hope all goes well with your presentation.
Hi, can you present an excel sheet and have a word document open to read notes off? Without them seeing the word document!
Good question. This will work, in Teams, just select the Window with the Excel file. They will then only see the Excel file.
Hi, I cannot find the option 'use presenter view' it doesn't appear when I click on slideshow
Use PowerPoint Live instead from within the Teams meeting. Your notes will be on screen but no one else can see this. Please let me know if you need further help.
When I click presenter view I get a pop up that says this feature is for use with two monitors….
Interesting, I haven't seen this before with this feature. Please can you send me screenshot: AskTony@ReadySteadyXL.com
How do you adapt the red line that marks what part of screen you show? Mine shows the whole screen and not only my notes...
Same...please someone answer this question

I can not use presenter view when sharing windows or sharing screen.
Sadly no. Teams is changing all the time so maybe this will come in the future.

Do it work on mobile
Hi Prisha, Good question but sadly at the moment there isn't a way to view your notes on the mobile whilst you do your presentation. Hopefully this will be updated soon.
Can they see sticky notes?
Not if you share your presentation as a window.
@@ReadySteadyExcel Perfect! It's easier that way.
It looks like i am reading when I am presenting. How do I make it like i focus on the camera? Of course i need my note. 😂
