Upgraded from my 14 Pro Max to the 1TB 16 Pro Max in desert titanium, I was tired of the battery life on my 14 Pro Max and USB C would also have been worth it alone but that’s not the only reason i upgraded, improved cameras, Apple Intelligence along with USB C. Great review which was well balance and informative.
Very good review. I've decided to give up anguishing over upgrading every year. I jumped from my iPhone 14 PM to the 16 PM, and used the AT&T upgrade anytime plan. Basically, renting a phone every year. Floundering in retirement, I've decided to really get to know the photography aspects of these cameras. I've rather stupidly used about 1/3 of the power of the Pro phones for years, so now that I have the time, I'm going to expand my horizons. Again, thanks for the review.

I currently have the 13 Pro Max and purchased the larger model because I had to read lots of documents on my phone. I will no longer have that requirement so, after watching your review, I will be ordering the 16 Pro. I still am outside a ton and we don’t do fanny packs out where I live. Am I the only one who has a phone holder in the truck and just plugs the phone in to charge anytime I am driving? I use a phone ALL day long and when I am done at the end of the day my battery is at 70-80%. Just asking
good review. will be upgrading to 16 PM for the bigger screen, better battery life, processor performance, camera upgrades, and cooling improvements. i like that apple focused on improving the "basics" of the phone, and are not going too crazy with random redesigns or features.

I didn't notice any heat issues but I did do a stress test from 3DMark. The iPhone 16 Pro Max stability score was better than than the regular Pro, I think because the Pro Max has more thermal headroom...
Im thinking of switching to iPhone after years of being on Samsungs & other android phones. I just want a new phone that actually feels different. Im currently on the Z Fold 5. It was a great phone but after months the weight of it is very annoying & I hardly open it anymore because I want to just use my one hand. My eyes are on the 16 Pro. .
I think we may have pushed it past its limits - will consider doing a deep dive in different situations. It'd be interesting to test In Frame out in selfie situations

I am new to Tom's Guide videos. The info is very good, but I found some of the choices in background music in this video to be quite distracting, even off-putting. It may just be me, but there were sections with rapid drum hits or random high-pitched sounds that, quite frankly, made me anxious while listening. Just sayin'.

Upgrading from the 11 to the 16 pro. I personally feel that a 4-5 years cycle would warrant a justifiable upgrade for the everyday person.

Transition between different speakers/audio was too quick. Imo should have had 5 consecutive seconds of each to really be able to feel the difference.

I'd say it works in terms of removing background noise but the sound quality itself was tinny depending on mode
