If your game is kinda laggy (Slow motion, camera change) try reducing the FPS limiter further. My PC can 140+ fps ULTRA but not at all areas of the map. Sometimes frame drops to 100 (At these point your car is mostly uncontrollable). So I set to 80fps where my PC can maintain that frame rate constantly throughout the map.

I think this is very stupid EA (Origin) has done this to its customers. Putting frostbite 3 engine end lock the fps at 30fps? Thats like eating soup with a fork... When I launched the game at first I thought there is something wrong with my pc, haha, everyone can see the difference between 30 and 60 fps, 30 will kill ur eyes. When launched fraps, i thought i need to find solution and i have watched this clip - this shortcut trick has worked for me, but it may depend on GPU and OS if it may work on ur PCs. That's it
Something about the control mechanics of the car is different when tuning the fps to 60 from 30. I noticed when I played on the 30 fps version drifting some sharp corners was way easier. In the 60 fps version, the steering feels a bit stiff making drifting pretty hard. Go ahead and try it and see if I was right.
It does not work. After setting it to 100 FPS what matches refresh rate of my screen, the game is in the slow motion. When I lowered it to decent 50 FPS, the game was behaving faster, but still unplayable. I also changed resolution from 3440 x 1440 to 6880 x 2880 and the result was the same :/

Guys, you will have to buy it for 19.99$ because it works only for steam, the properties files were opened before video and it won't work for web download free, it only works for steam.

I can see from the gameplay in the video that the game engine is really not happy when you force it to run at 60 FPS, you can tell by the 3rd person camera shaking when you are driving at high speed. You're running the game at 2X speed when you do that command.
If we follow your logic then no games should be a 60FPS, here is one thing we should know , racing games at 30FPS belongs to consoles only , criterion gave us the worse NFS in history and whether or not 60FPS, i`d rather have that camera shaking then playing on 30FPS. Thanks for your input
Anand Sali , the easiest fix for that prob is to first monitor your in-game FPS, and then change the 60 FPS in the cmd to the FPS u r getting, change it only at the end

Just revisited this game after some time, this method works, but does it affect the ability to play with friends? i made it 60fps and my friend made it 144, and when we try to join/invite each other it just puts us in an empty server, is this because we essentially modded the fps, or perhaps because we have different fps set? or is there something else and I'm just being an idiot? Hello everyone i tried this method and the problems like decreased frame time, frames ripping apart and moreover the car view camera is changing angles without any reason unlike in the original settings. Be advised don't disturb original settings let it run on 30 fps lock. The original settings give a far more better game experience i have tried it, well ignoring the fps cuz frost bite made it that way. I have downloaded the game from noSteam with latest patch and DLCs. Trust me these settings ruin the game thank you
Not anymore if you got the juice. As long as your PC can keep this game at 60 FPS or above at all times (pretty easy these days), you can run it without issues. Older PCs do have problems if the framerate ever drops a little bit.

I found an easier solution, in the origin settings go to "Advanced Launch options" and put in the command in the description, that worked for me

I don't really have any problem with 30fps... I'm currently playing on ps5 but, it should have been on 60fps tho.

it works for any frame rate too, just change both numbers [60] to what ever you desire, I made mine 144 as I have a 144hz monitor
***Edit*** it breaks your engine sound among other things, don't go past 60fps haha

It’s because your changing the game engine speed. The game isn’t meant to run like that. I recommend keeping it normal

that is an effect that EA did in the last 4 NFS games , the more you accelerate the further the cars goes , nothing is wrong here .
i can definitely tell the difference between camera speed effects and the car unnaturally jerking forward and backward at a constant speed.

@@Max16032 its on sale for 5 i remeber playing it on my 360 now i have a monster rig but hear everyone complaining about the 30 cap rn i have a 5700xt which is more than enough for 1080 144 ultra, but my question is like there like sound issues and frame tearing at 144 or is it only if u dip below. edit the excuse 'they made it this way' is poor because we all know when things are ported to pc they can either get fkd over or be solid and come with a range of problems due to laziness from devs or suits saying they dont wanna pay for it so fk that u cant port to pc steam in june 2020 and not expect people to be mad at a game capped at 30 when most monitors in the market are hitting 2-5x that refresh rate its not the engine bf4 is proof of that
after applying this fix my game starts to run in slow motion :( I know its not the PC, i have i59400 16gb of ram and gtx 1660 super.
