Thank you Rodney. Apparently, DJI is having issues with quality control. I heard a lot of people had the same problem.
I have the same problem, both batteries in an Amazon fly more kit, and holy cow they must of sold alot of bad ones because the reviews are just loaded with people having the same problem, some going through 3 sets of returns with all 6 batteries being defective. The only way to currently make sure your getting good batteries is to order directly through DJI or gamble with Amazons old stock, there's a massive thread in the DJI forum with tons of people with this issue and DJI is remaining silent. One review on Amazon has a screenshot of his DJI rma, DJI techs deemed his batteries as being defective and replaced them.
Wow, I had no idea this was such a wide-scale issue. I really appreciate the information you provided. I am sure it will help others and that was the purpose of this video. After reading your comment I feel lucky that the replacement battery worked.

Yeah bro, that same day the first video was released I was out flying the sunset and it happened again. That was when I started switching out the batteries and bam! It worked. That’s why I responded to you comment that evening “you nailed it” 🤓. I figured making this video would be better than just pinning a comment on the first video.
It’s crazy because I did the original video a week before it’s release. So for a whole week it was working but I didn’t know the real reason why. I’m happy I didn’t have to send the drone in. That would have been a disaster. New battery comes Saturday 🤩

you are Correct what ever that update was created a issue for the battery I was able to confirm this when I received the update that fried my battery
I wish DJI would pay more attention to this drone. It feels like they just abandoned it. No new firmware updates to correct these issues. I’m still hearing similar stories.

I had the same exact issue, updated it all and finally my drone said that the "new battery" was a non DJI battery...I bought them off ebay so ill be returning them faster than I can count to 1. Thanks!
It’s such a frustrating situation. That’s why I shared my experience. I didn’t hear about this issue from within my drone community but once I uploaded this video I realized it’s a huge problem. One person mentioned people discussing the FPV battery issue in the reviews on Amazon. Now I see EBay as well. It must be a quality control issue at DJI.

i had this p[roblem when i got my first fpv fly more combo pack. i got a new set and they worked.
There was another person that left a comment with the same issue. It was a bigger problem than I thought. Apparently, a lot of people experience the same thing.

the best part is i messaged geeksvana and they completely ignored me and then i found out its because they are sponserd by dji and arent allowed to comment on the faulty batterys, its a hard thing to fix and it happened when i first got my drone and i was so fucking upset, but i ordered new ones "refunded" and they worked. i think its because its a way you update it. i cant remember if you dont update it through the goggles but update it through the app i cant remember but yeah glad you fixed it i should watch the rest of the video before commenting but i had to comment because this almost ruined the whole drone experince for me.
Wow, sorry you had to go through all of that. I just noticed your comment. For some reason TH-cam didn’t notify me. I know Sean from Geeksvana. I’m shocked he didn’t want to address the issue. Yeah, the battery was new so I just replaced it. I think I messed up by updating the battery on location. When I got the new battery I made sure to do the update at home. But then again, I remember it saying the update was 100% done when I was on location. So I think the battery was just faulty. Comments like this are popping up and it further confirms there was an issue.
Had exactly that issue with one of the three batteries I had in total with the fly more pack
Sorry to hear that, DJI definitely had a quality control issue. Were you able to return it?
Make it a practice to put the drone down when you turn it on so it can initialize without moving around.

No. I make it a practice to do whatever I want when I want.
Same problem for me. I updated the drone through the goggles and flew. I put the next pack in, craft started blinking red, won’t arm, doesn’t ask for a battery update. This is the one that came with it and the one that works is from a crashed one but it’s the one that was in it when I ran the update on the drone.
Weird that it’s not requesting the update on the battery that came with it. These battery issues are so random now.
Hey mate, my problem is after I fly one battery I always get the Motor Stalled, Motor Overload or Propulsion System Error messages. I then need to wait about 15 minutes before I can fly a 2nd battery. The Motors seem very hot too. Brand new DJI FPV Drone. Any advice please? Thanks man 👍🏻

Should we update the batteries when we plug it in the drone? I'm so scared...also are you on 01.02.0015?
If the battery needs an update, it will notify you in the goggles. My drone had the latest update when this occurred.
My new avata is doing this now … I did notice right before this happen the avata said my battery was low when it wasn’t then next time I went to fly it won’t arm. So looks my battery went bad … sigh
Wow, sorry to hear that. I also have the Avata with the fly more kit. So far no issues. It’s weird that you had it going and it ended up failing. Usually the batteries wouldn’t work from the gate. DJI has been having a lot of quality control issues. They’re not doing a good job at separating the crap from the good stuff. Are you able to return it?
The forum is full of people with the same problem , were you able to calibrate the IMU after you refreshed the firmware ?
I calibrated everything before I figured out what it was. As of right now the battery is not requesting any update via the goggles or app. I sent it back to Amazon and should be receiving a new one Saturday.

Bro I'm on my 4th return of the fly more kit. Maybe the Amazon ones are fake. If round 5 don't work I'm getting my MO ey back and ordering from DJI. My wife says lots of knockoff makeup etc on Amazon. Maybe they are doing batteries now too lol. Extremely frustrating. I only have 3 batteries right now and in this drone that is not even close to enough.
Wow, I’ve been hearing the nightmare stories since releasing this video. One guy commented that there was a lot of bad reviews on Amazon and some customers had done multiple returns just like you. There is a chance of bootlegging batteries. I really hope this isn’t the case because I got a replacement battery. I would hate for it to fail mid-flight 🤯…

Do you still have care refresh? If so, I would put in a claim. DJI needs to check it out.
I waited awhile before I got the fpv kit and let em work the kinks out but I bought 2 fly more kits from ebay and both wouldn’t arm the drone , and I looked everywhere for a solution , and all said they returned the batteries for different ones ,, I ended buying a set from my local best buy and all good !! forgot best buy sold dji stuff ,,
I’m glad it worked out in the end. Yeah, Best Buy is great. 90% of my drones came from there. I like the option to just walk right in, instead of mailing thing back when I have issues. Best Buy has always done the right thing when I’ve had an issue.

Thanks for watching 🙏. I was able to return the bad battery because I purchased it from Amazon. The new battery resolved the issue. It updated properly and I was able to arm the drone.

Hello, thank you very much for the information, I will see if I can still return the Fly More Kit, I had the misfortune to happen with the two batteries that came with this kit. Really when I insert the battery that came with the Drone the problem does not happen. I'll try to lastly perform the same procedure you did in the first video of trying to update the firmware 3x in hopes of solving the problem. But from what I'm seeing, the way will be to try to return it or keep the loss unfortunately. Thank you very much for helping. Peace and good always!!!

Its easy to fix, for ppl, that knowing, whats in the battery. u need to open it and fix that BMS with a computer ^^
I would be afraid to open one of those batteries honestly. Especially, flying my drone afterwards.

I bought two dji fpv drones and both times the drone battery was dead on arrival. Their ‘intelligent’ systems are killing the product
Yeah, I agree. Sorry it happened to you twice. That’s so frustrating. They have a quality control issue. It sucks that they haven’t addressed it yet.
Do a new firmware update with that battery in it
I try everything. I had to send the battery back. The replacement worked with no issues. The annoying thing is, I had another battery go bad on me recently. Like 3 weeks ago… And the same thing happened again. I did all the proper updates and saw the update completed notification. The drone wouldn’t arm. I had to send it back. I till last week to place another order. I now have the new batteries but I haven’t even opened the box yet.
Today might be the day I go through the process again. Hopefully 🤞🏼 it works out.
