I believe this is the best response yet. I also think it had something to do with the Avata 2 being in low battery mode. I had an issue with another drone after it went into low battery mode/warning. I started getting a lot of latency on my iPad and the drone was self-landing. The problem was, I was over water and the latency was so bad it was hard to get my direction to land correct. I eventually figured it out and got back to land but I hit a tree ☹️. That morning I did a firmware update that apparently made my iPad not function properly with the app. I ended up purchasing a newer iPad and sent the drone to DJI for repairs. I never had the issue again. Now, in this video I was using all the Avata 2 equipment from the combo. The new controller and goggles. That glitch shouldn’t have happened.

Yeah, I did my research before visit and I was impressed. This location has global fame. I’ve been going to Philadelphia since the early 2000’s and never heard of it… Until I started digging for new places to see.

🙏 Thanks You 🙏. Yeah, there’s a lot of misinformation on TH-cam these days. That’s why I share my experience. People need to hear the truth from TH-camrs that live this lifestyle. Good or bad. The Avata 2 is stronger than most people believe but that emergency brake button issue is sketchy.

Tesla’s brakes aren’t good either.

I definitely need more sim time 🤓… 😆 Yeah, it went bonkers on me. I’ve had no issues with satellites at that location that day into that happened. Also, I’ve flown at that location many times before with DJI drones and never had and issues of this kind.

Ron, I really appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. The Avata 2 checks all the boxes for sure. Manual or sport mode. I really wanted a DJI FPV V2 but I’m very happy with the Avata 2.

The wind still scares me with the Avata 2. I hope DJI releases a FPV V2. I’m loving the direction they are going with their FPV lineup. An upgraded DJI FPV is necessary.

I’m glad it worked for you. I did an update a few months ago and it happened again. I ended up releasing another video. I’m planning to get the DJI Pocket 3. It’s definitely not as durable but more reliable for vlogging purposes. I’ve had many little issues with the Hero 10. It shuts off if it’s too hot outside, shuts off when it’s too cold outside. I never had these issues with the Hero 7, 5 or 4. GoPro adds more features but don’t engineer a balanced system. ✌️😎

I'm thinking go to Hoboken NJ I plan to take some footages of night shots of the city and early morning shots on 24th. I don't know how far my drone can fly off hoboken towards the city view? probabely a bit far view of the city lights.

The camera quality was better but not having ND filters drove me crazy. The shutter speed was going way too high. I really wanted the motion blur. Things were way too sharp for me. Bro! That wind was shifting the drone like a foot with those strong gust 💨 💨💨. It was too sketchy to go top speed. The shots that made the cut were captured during those breaks between the gust. I was pushing through the constant wind which was also challenging. I could feel the resistance.

It was my pleasure. I enjoyed filming this, despite the fact I was struggling with the wind. I always have a blast at the track. I also want a DJI FPV V2. I was disappointed when I heard that the higher-ups at DJI chose the Avata V2 over a FPV V2 a while back. The DJI FPV with a more sensible design and better camera would be insane. The same way they completely upgraded the Avata. I’ll be honest tho, I look forward to flying the DJI Avata 2. More so than when I first got my original Avata.

Thank you! I’m waiting for my Freewell ND filters. I should have them soon. I really wish I had them before filming this video. The shutter speed was too fast and everything looked too sharp. I rather have that motion blur. I wish the DJI FPV had a better camera. It’s so fast, absolutely perfect for drift car chasing. The Air 3 is also an excellent drone. Thanks, 🤷🏻‍♂️ not sure. I didn’t do much in post. I wasn’t pleased with it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have ND filters that day. I was forced to leave the shutter speed on auto. I much rather have motion blur. I usually dial-in my camera settings. Yeah, I wanted to be transparent for those in the market for a Avata 2. There is so much paid programming on TH-cam. Not many sharing information based on real experience.

The Avata 2 is an upgrade all around. Everything has been improved. The original Avata is a great drone but the Avata 2 is better in my opinion. It’s only the beginning of my reviews, more videos coming soon. I’ll be talking about the original Avata as well. I still bring it with me to drone sessions. And I purchased a really nice light kit for it. 🤩

If and when you are ready to try FPV, the Avata 2 would be the way to go. My opinion only. You are already familiar with DJI and how their apps function. The Avata 2 has all the latest safety features, except for obstacle avoidance obviously. Obstacle avoidance would hinder any FPV drone. You could progress at your own pace. And you will always have that bail-out button if things get sketchy. The drone will just stop right where it’s at. And you are in the middle of a flip or something, it will correct itself. It’s like having training wheels.

Thank you! I haven’t used the motion controller for the Avata 2 yet. I’ve tried it with the DJI FPV in the past (the first motion controller). I was impressed. I’m up for the challenge though. Next time on the track, I will try the motion controller 3. I’ll start practicing soon. I will make sure I have an understanding of all the features before hitting the track. Stay tuned. ✌️😫

Great question. I haven’t changed the rates… Yet! Stock rates. My original Avata has the following: Roll center sensitivity: 70 max rate: 880 expo: 0.45 Pitch: center sensitivity: 70 max rate: 700 expo: 0.42 Yaw: center sensitivity: 70 max rate: 480 expo: 0.38 I believe my DJI FPV is the same. I can provide you the stock rates on the Avata 2 tomorrow. Let me know.
