You make you videos great! Simple but effektive and on the point. Without "Brimborium" as we in Germany say.

I wish I can clasp. I have broad shoulders, short arms, and a wide back. your tip on grabbing the the elbow to get the lower arm up the back does help!

maybe you can't clasp today, but keep doing it every day, making a strap shorter and shorter until, hopefully one day, you don't need it anymore. :) glad the grab helps. it helps me a lot, too!

hello shana as always very fun video to watch with lots of helpful information. when u do prasarita and let the arms drop, what is the engagement required? still pressing the 2 shoulder blades together and down towards the butt or totally relaxed to work on more mobility of the arms to reach the floor? thank you.

great question. in prasarita padottanasana, you are trying to move base of the scapula midline, but the shoulder heads wide, as if to create a triangle in your upper back. overall, the shoulders are pretty much always in the back-and-down position (here back-and-up since you are upside down)...and they are here, too.
that being said, however, if you feel like you get a better stretch in another shoulder alignment, i personally say go for it and make it feel good. the yoga gods may strike me down for that, but since i have two bad shoulders, i have learned to put intuition above alignment sometimes when it seems to make sense for my particular body. :)

I think, I just hit the Aginst the wall pose stretch right, smile. I got a nice pop_crack in my cervical spine... felt good. Once again Shana MUCH thanks! cheers from Capitola CA
(by the by Jake P it took me years of using a strap before I could grasp my hands behind my back) smile.

I like your style, so different from the "inspired&celestial" tone of most collegues of yours, who seem dropping heavenly words from a distant dimension. You seem Earth-based, as 7 billion others, unlike yoga angels.

edoardo burlini thank you so much! I am pretty earthly. 👽 😉 💗
