    Good tutorial. I need more practice to do this. I tried but not able to do full yogi dandasana.

      dinesh dinesh yes! it’s all about practice! I make these videos in a few minutes, but that doesn’t mean it always takes just a few minutes to get a pose. With practice, everything comes. ☺️

      @@YOGAthletica I am able to do yogidandasana left foot. The left leg able to stay in armifit. but right leg 4inches away from armfit.

    Hi Shana, I'm still having trouble with this pose. I weirdly can get my leg behind my head fairly easily, and even do some variations with leg behind head, but I can't seem to get this Yoga Dandasana, haha. I do practice twists, as well. Still, can't seem to get what is involved to pull this one off.
    I try the version you present with the opposite leg in a sort of "squat" position standing on the foot, as well as in putting the opposite leg in Virasana (which I do find more difficult).
    I'm fairly comfortable in Akarna Dhanurasana, as well. What am I missing to be able to do Yoga Dandasana?

      Shana, thanks for your beautiful energy first and foremost. Secondly, I also am having a issue with this pose. I can easily do Yoginidrasana and Chakroasana.. could you possibly look at a video of my attempt for this posture? With love, namaskar!

    Hi Shana, it's Yannis. I place my leg on my knee like a pigeon pose, then i twist to reach my armpit, but the sole of my foot goes only a little further up from the elbow. Does that mean that i need to twist deeper and have a really ope hip? thanks xx

      yanis hatziioannou Hi Yannis! You can technically do this pose as long as your foot is anywhere above the elbow. A deeper twist will make it easier, but foot above elbow is still manageable! You just have to be a bit more careful not to slip off the edge of your arm.
