Dear Shana, thank you so much again for a great tutorial! Never felt my heart so wide opened! I send you all my love! May your blessings be countless! gèrard
shana your teaching is good. You are very honest in teaching. Yogasana is one part in patanjali yoga Sutra. their are 8 parts in patanjali yoga sutras. to achieve god is main goal.
you always explain the best!!! I am now doing handstands because of the video you did with your mom!!!! I can do full wheel, but there is no walking anywhere as of yet. haha
thanks, Unraveling Jenna! you know there are also a lot more handstand videos after the mom one. check out my handstand mania playlist (th-cam.com/play/PLEk7dn2pk4QWlT2x6f6Sxejxc3boJnrvg.html) for other handstand stuff you can do. and the walking bit in backbend comes in time...it's fun, too! ;)
SE Wong thanks for your note! Glad you enjoy the videos! Unfortunately, that transition is one that I do not believe is sound/safe on your shoulder or wrist. I appreciate the request but don’t feel comfortable endorsing that transition...
Ah! Love your stuff. Hoping to take a trip down the California coast next fall from Vancouver. It would be awesome to attend one of your classes. Video Request: It would be great to hear about your views on diet/lifestyle and the importance of keeping fit to improve inverted poses. Thanks!
hi *****, definitely contact me when you are here! would love to have you. interesting request...more likely to blog about that than youtube. do you read my blog? you can see it at yogathletica.com/blog/ . :)
hi +rafaelkr, for some reason, youtube won't let me respond directly to you or even tag you in a post...so i hope you get this. i shoot on just a normal video camera (sony handycam 8.9 megapixels--carl zeiss edition). my old low-res ones were shot with the camera on my macbook...
Hi this is Jayabarathi, I really like the way you teach aasanas, but my problem I am able to do chakraasana ,been trying for long time and feel I don't have strength in my hands , teach me some techniques mam.
thanks for your not. so glad you enjoy the videos. when you say strength in your hands...do you mean hands or arms? one of the best arm strengtheners you can do is chaturanga dandasana (th-cam.com/video/ICR3w1f_WdA/w-d-xo.html) if that is still hard and you need more help, a video to build that strength is at th-cam.com/video/k8hJDld8FUk/w-d-xo.html. once you have that pose down, work on chaturanga push ups from plank to chaturanga and back up. that will help build arm and shoulder strength. :)
Thank you so much Madame, I love watching your videos and I do follow regularly. My arms are week I guess so I cannot do chakraasana, Chaturanga dandaasana , totally arm balancing.
It may not be your arms but your shoulders. And it may be strength and/or flexibility holding you back. I can’t really give you any suggestions without actually seeing you and what is happening... :/

I want to improve deep back bends. I do bhujangasana, camel pose, urdhvadhanurasana, fish pose. I try to do kapotasana with the help of the wall. but not succeeded to do full pigeon pose. I am very much interested in improve my back bend. 🙏🙏🙏🕉
dineshtalagini dineshtalagini the key to deeper backbends is daily practice as a part of a full-length yoga sequence. Practicing one-off poses isn’t nearly as effective. You may want to check out my Vimeo channel of full-length classes at vimeo.com/ondemand/yogathletica. Guaranteed to deepen your whole practice. :)
Sarita Unni not sure if you already have a regular yoga practice but this pose is the consummation of many, many different poses. Taking one pose at a time is hard compared to taking them in the course of a full practice. If you are interested, I have a channel of classes at vimeo.com/ondemand/yogathletica that has classes of all levels of experience, challenge, and intensity to build you up for the poses I teach on this channel.
I had the same problem. Hopefully you have mastered it and at least gotten up there. For me it was strength but I also needed to work on opening my front body, shoulders/pecs and quads/hip flexors. Good luck!
Shana THANKS so much for lifting me into a wheel, when I did the personal training with you smile. I never thought I'd have enough back flexibility to get into a wheel... Now to get into the wheel without you lifting me lifting me into it....! (ah your biggest Fan smile)
Absolutely. The flexibility comes with practice. Take it slowly, step-by-step, and be sensitive to your edges. You may also want to check out my backbend drill a day playlist. Don't feel like you have to move on each day, but instead consider doing each one until it is comfortable and then move on to the next: th-cam.com/video/BHz1plFqcJE/w-d-xo.html
hi Candeeze Sky. if it's hard to straighten your arms, i would first work on the blocks until you can straighten there...then move on to full wheel. if your arms don't straighten, it's most likely because of tightness in your shoulders. so shoulder stretching will help a lot, too. :)
