Just taken my 981 GTS Cayman on a Wales trip and as you say, making memories with the car is so important. Mines a ‘keeper’....
All boxsters are special
A tip for those of you going back and forth between this and a highly optioned 981 Boxster S: drive both then ask yourself if the GTS is worth the $20k premium. I could not tell the difference. Love my 981 S!
Depends on options - if options match yes. But if not gts 4 the win.
Definitely all the sports car and thus Porsche you ever need.

That’s a gorgeous and unique spec with the red top on Agate Grey. Hope the owner will one day get to enjoy it on the track! I had my Cayman GTS since July this year and have to say that my track experience was definitely one of those memories that will stick in my mind for years to come.

Yep. I have spent 7K USD getting my 2003 Boxster S up to snuff. Yes, I have spent more than the car is wort including the purchase price. but I am keeping the car so its an investment in the reliability of the car.
Keep them as long as possible. Traded in my 05 987S for a 981 Spyder last year. 142,000 miles on the Boxster, missing that car.
I’ve had my 987s Boxster. 10 yrs, live and drive all over Europe, 165,000miles no issues until IMs started making a noise.Just done engine rebuild . It’s been amazing, I still love it .. Roof off thru the Pyrenees , it’s what dreams are made of… when I first had it went to Porsche driving school and one of their drivers took it on the track .You have no idea what the car can do until it’s in the hands of a proper driver .. Unbelievable.. .im keeping it .. I love it ..

I own the 2015 Boxster GTS Manual Carmine red and just love it. Sure there are cars with more horse power and prestige but I just love mine. Nice review and video Cheers!
Sash, i looked long and found a 2015 Boxster GTS, 6 speed with only 19,000 km’s. Has all the bells and whistles. Absolutely love the car! I went for the Boxster versus the Cayman, purely because , i love driving with the top down. In Canada we get warm summers and nothing beats a convertible.

One of the most important aspects of a Porsche for me is the sound of the flat 6, without it it’s just not the same

The prices for under 80k mileage cars that are well used are getting better and for a fun me only car my box is super

Nice, but I'd never buy soft top. For me, it's the Cayman S, all the way. Doubt I'll get one now, with the way things are, but never say never.
In Arizona, there is so much sun it makes sense to have a convertible here. Love the Boxster S. the weather is finally cooperating slightly. I cannot wait for it to get below 100* F so I can taker her out more.

Where are the crackles and bangs of the exhaust the 981 gts is known for! Thats a big mistake you didn't show in this video! But nice one though!

2013 981s PDK owner here in Australia here. (previously owned a 986s manual). Great video. My Black Boxster on 20 inch alloys is an event every time you take it out. Have driven a 4l 718 GTS at Porsche Drive Day and also driven one on a road circuit at speed. My opinion, as a road car the 981s is > 90% of the 718GTS experience. The 981s is truly a special car and having test driven a 981s 6 speed manual I can say the driving enjoyment between PDK and Manual is small. Manual still wins on open road but around town the PDK is superior, lightening quick changes. Tip around town drive the PDK like a manual and don't creep the car. No plans to sell

I came across this model last year and noticed it had very strong look about it. Also it has an outstanding quality in every way. And it's funny, because when I look at all the super cars that are out there on the road, the 1st thing that comes to mind, is.... " How do you pay all that money out for a car that comes without a convertible roof "....!!!!!!!
