    Nice review! As a long term owner, I think you captured the highlights of what makes this car the pinnacle of the modern road-going Porsche-supreme OEM NA sound with no particulate filter, balance, handling and comfort in a perfect mix no GT car lives up to. A daily 458. Beautiful inside and out, subtle, practical, relatively rare and safe/forgiving on the track make this in my mind the forever car.

      Thanks for the feedback 😊 glad we were on point with this review. So there's no cars you'd replace the Cayman with?

      Glad you liked the review, both of us loved this car, it's really an all-rounder sports car, and it really sounds amazing. A lot of people don't get it though, haha

      @@sundaymorningdrives I just found your note. I have a 981 Boxter GTS that I consider the best sportscar in the world!

    Good review that sums up the car pretty well. Last weekend we took our 981 GTS from Kaikoura to Hamilton - over 700kms in one day, and it was effortless. We arrived home with no fatigue. Great comfort, superb handling and very good economy unless you push it. When you hit the twisties and pop it into Sport or Sport Plus mode the polite nature vanishes and the monster comes out to play.

      Yes, and plus it sounds better than the 718 😁, how long have you had the 981 GTS?

      I bought it in July 2020 but did not get it landed in NZ till Feb 2021 due to Covid and shipping delays. @@sundaymorningdrives

      @Wvy honestly imo, the 981 GTS is really really good, and it's a bargin too in the current market. Sounds and drives amazing, you can even daily it if you want, hahaha

  • @jonfrench7133
    @jonfrench7133 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great review and lovely sound of the f6. Have to say though that the criticism of the turbo was misplaced. It’s delivery is also very progressive.

      Turbo? The 981 GTS?

    • @jonfrench7133
      @jonfrench7133 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sundaymorningdrives you mentioned that the power delivery of the 981 was easier to manage because it wasn’t as abrupt as the turbo 4. If you’ve driven a turbo 4 you’d realise that it’s also very progressing

    • @sundaymorningdrives
      @sundaymorningdrives  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jon French ok got what you mean. No I haven't been able to drive the turbo 4, but assuming the nature of these engine types, a N/A engine always tend to have better response, and better sound 😄

    Saw your 718 Spyder review. Question for you.
    718 Spyder/boxster GTS or 981 Spyder/boxster gts?

    • @sundaymorningdrives
      @sundaymorningdrives  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If money is not an issue, I would go for the Spyder/GT4, they are just a bit more special than the boxter/GTS. I have not driven the 981 Spyder before, but from what I have felt from the 981 GT4, I would pick the 981 over the 718, it's just a bit more raw and feelsome. So conclusion: 981 Spyder/GT4 😄. Are you looking to own one of these?

    • @clu4u

      I own a 981 Spyder, reving the engine doesn’t wear it out. Start up from cold puts more wear than driving.
