    Do you have a part number for that JDM external mirror modification? I'm running a 2015 as my daily driver in the UK, so right hand drive, and that might be of use to me. Looking forward to the WRX seats video as well!

      Glad you found the video somewhat useful! Here’s the part number. 91054SG000. I’ll try to make the WRX seat video sooner than later!

    So I'm not the only XT owner watching Sara for the Forester Gump content! :-D
    I have a 2016 Touring, here.
    Sara also did a STI front seat swap on hers as well.

      No at all! She paved the way for many XT owners.

    Yo Subie, bring back the hood scoop Forester! Good lord.

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a company that makes them for my gen foz. I might just have to scoop one up.

    • @scottcorso9247
      @scottcorso9247 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@2FIRacing here's hoping the next generation forester (2022?) has scoops back in chassis. I know its like "having a brick on the hood" from an aerodynamics standpoint, but they looked so darn cool!

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@scottcorso9247 You know funny enough, underneath the hood of my foz, there is ducting to divert air from the grill to the top mount, I'm pretty sure a scooped hood would be better for cool at a small it to aerodynamics. I mean, how bad could it hurt, the foz is already a brick. Lol

    • @scottcorso9247
      @scottcorso9247 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@2FIRacing zomg you should totally do it! If it isn't a)cost prohibitive and b) a complete pain in the butt! I have a 2011 forester xt, but Subaru engineers are getting more HP out of your turbo engine 😄

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottcorso9247 I’d have to save for a bit but it’s been on my radar to replace the non-scooped hood with the scooped hood. Compressive Tuning actually makes the hood. If I do get the hood you can be sure I’ll be making a video about it.

    Subaru pls bring back Turbo XT Forester.
    Sometimes I regret buying 2016 WRX instead of Forester XT. My WRX is great reliable solid car but still lol

    I love my 2017 Forester 2.5. Only regret is I didn't get the XT :(

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2.5i is a great Foz too, you get much better gas mileage than the XT though!

      Isn’t it the same engine?

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No unfortunately, the XT has a 2.0 turbo, and the 2.5 in the non-xt.

    I love my 15 Xt, ive done all major services on it including cvt fluid change and walnut blasting but recently the oil control valves had to get replaced and then i had to get cam sprockets replaced along with a New ECM. Frustrating

    How were you able to install the Mud Flaps over the rain guards? I been trying to do that to my Forrester, but i cannot find any videos on how to install them without taking out the rain guards.

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It took some fiddling with but, I remember seeing someone else with the flaps over the guards and I knew there was a way. I think it really took some force to get the bolts through both the guard and flap.

    I want to get a forester XT but don’t know if its worth the reduced gas mileage. What’s you’re usual mpg? And since it’s turbo can it only take premium gas or can it take like an 87 octane gas ?

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So to me it was worth it. My mileage varies a bit depending how I drove but, I could get close 28mpg hwy. I only put premium in it and once in its 4 years with me I put 87 in an emergency. The XT is great, you get most of the fun of driving you’d get from a WRX with the storage space of an outback.

      They’re actually laminx light cover film. Easy to install and looks great.

    Did the coilovers lower or raise the ride height at all?

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup sure did. I ended up lowering it about 2 inches in the front and I think like 2.5 in the rear.

    • @2FIRacing
      @2FIRacing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not really sure, I want to say it'll probably be very similar but, I'd reach out to ISC and find out. They're a good company.

    Worst decision subaru ever made was getting rid of the XT. Even more so after their got rid of the sti.
    Hows your subaru running today. And hows the cvt

      I made the worst decision in a long time....I sold the XT almost 3 years ago now. I do however know the new owner and haven't heard any complaints. I sure do miss it though.

      @2FIRacing oh dang
      I've been a forester owner since 2007. Never had an xt until now and always wanted one. Finally bit the bullet and bought a used 2018 last year with low mileage. I'll run it til it dies because I know its the last of its kind
