This was super cool to see! One man for everything it's impressive man. Got rid of my bugeye, traded in for a brz, now driving an S2000, looking for a Forester now as a daily. Can't get away from the Subaru rumble :)

It’s amazing having access to a snapon scan tool when ever I need due to work but my r32 is before they even thought about it so the work one doesn’t work in it so I just diagnose shit the old fashion way :(

The brake light is on because the rubber under the dash is worn out. Look along the brake pedal and glue a piece of rubber back on.
Hey dude you probably know this now but it could have been the brake light switch. It will trip those 3 lights.

pretty sure the lights are due to a fuel line. my friend had an 05 outback and those 3 lights came on all at once and he found out it was due to a failing fuel line. got it replaced and the codes all cleared

Is it safe to pressure wash your engine without covering anything up?
Yep if anything doesent run right can just spray wd40 on the connectors to plugs and usualy fixes it anyway, most plugs have water proof gromets tho
i would say no. Messed up my Mass air flow sensor when i pressure washed my engine bay. I have had a forester for 8 years...they hate pressure washers especially on electricals and lights.

Lock the car and the lights will turn off. I think that's the problem you didn't need to buy new bulbs. That's the problem with my audi at least.

Have the same forester - those lights happen every time I change my oil. I usually disconnect the air sensor from the airbox, than disconnect the negative from the battery for a little, plug negative back again and than plug the sensor back. Usually, it works for me. Good luck!
2004-2007 Subaru Forester generation will forever be the best version of Subaru of all time imo.
On Subaru foresters and Imprezas from 2005-2008 there is a parking brake switch on the top side of the steering wheel. That may be the reason your rear lights stay on with the keys out of ignition!!!
nah, i think he created a short with the pressure washer in the engine bay. I have a forester myself with the same ej20 motor, used a pressure washer and my tail lights stay off completely when the head lights are on. instant regret.
One of the biggest causes of this issue is a short in the trailer hitch cables. They have a tendency to short out On literally all models at least up to the 2008 and when they do short out, the tail lights will come on and stay on. The two main fixes are trace all the hitch cable lines looking for the short or just remove the hitch harness all together. If you don't plan on towing anything, it won't matter much.

FUBAR User many Subaru’s have a jack point right behind the oil pan I’m sure he used that jack point
Most of the time it'll be the brake booster being stick or need adjustment you got lucky since it was a easy fix....
