And the transition was so good.

I remember when I first started and had a laugh when he talked.

And then actually crying with that scene with her parents...I still cry at it.

Maybe it was just me, but Endwalker came at the exact right point in my life. World events, personal events, all of it ... needed an answer to stand in defiance.

No, your not alone. With how the world was. We all needed this. This story is amazing. I’m even a story skipper who went back and read up on everything that I skipped when shadowbringers was still in its cycle. This story is just amazing. And I love all these characters.

I remember sobbing at one specific scene in Thav in Endwalker Early release.
I've had a hard road these past few years, and as stupid as this might sound, this game and despite everything.. Has given me a lot of hope?
It makes me cry. A lot. My gf and I call it "crying fantasy" but.. It also helps me cope with a lot of RL shit.
It sure can be uplifting. That "there's a light at the end of such a deep darkness." thing I needed to hear then and now.
      You're not alone.

Got out a multiple messy and (some more abusive then the previous) relationships, was single after a 6 year relationship that wasnt going anywhere, got covid from helping my cousin (who didn't believe he nor his child should get vaccinated, (even thought he's in contact with our grandmothr who's in her final stages of cancer, and wants to be around for 2023 to see her great grandchild say her name.) I got to the last 20 quests on Endwalker by this point. I was passively suicidal, not caring if the flu meds i was gulping every 4 hours over lapped from day ot day. I had lost my job in 2019, and had 2k left of my savings to just survive. I figured it'd be best for everyone if i didnt eat, then if i did go outside my room, then, it just decided one day that i'd finsh up my flu bottle, drink a days worth of medicine in one sitting and let my organs fail and be done with it all.
the peopel i loved wher eonly using me,and the being that didnt used me weren't able to talk to be beause of being infectious, luckily I never went through with it. it might feel like an answer when you hit you lowlest low, but it is a poor answer to give, because it's permenate.

My dad had cancer during my play through of EW and it was a…..tough time getting through some of it but the part that made me actually ugly cry was when the soldier told Julius “it’s the little things that make life worth living”. I think it was at that moment I realized he was going to pass and I had to enjoy the little time I had left. That scene and the feelings I had stuck with me to this day. So I definitely see where your coming from.

Everything still makes me cry like it did one year ago when i was dying over that elidibus scene at the end of SHB quickly followed by getting more info on said catboy. I can't get over how beautifully done this video is. The pace at which you change scenes, the way you string seperate pieces of dialogue into a coherent train of thought. I feel the need to comment on this now. I've watched this many times since the release of Endwalker, but recently in my depression and hopelessness - I've watched it a few times every day. Because Endwalker saved me and it will save me again. Because this story taught me that there is a brighter future and even when the weight of a thousand worlds weighs heavy... I can walk on. Thank you for making this GMV and summarizing some of my favorite parts of the story for me to remind myself over and over that amidst deepest despair, light everlasting.

I must be getting old because I'm crying at everything. When Minfilia left us without a leader, I didn't think she was actually dead. Figured we'd be coming to get her back eventually. Knowing she "lived" but sacrificed herself AGAIN before we had a chance to really casually talk and catch up as old friends hurt.

    • @ToroHarfang
      @ToroHarfang ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@SilverxWingx The combined "For those we have lost. For those we can yet save." starts as something Minfilia says, I think post Moenbryda, then is the title of a pair of quests in Heavensward, becomes closely tied to Haurchefant and Alphinaud starts saying it, and then eventually we get one or more opportunities to repeat it to others. It kind of just becomes the unacknowledged motto of the Scions.

The very story of FFXIV screams this song so with ease. Alisaie's own journey with the warrior of Light screams this song faithfully.

When I watch this video, it brings back all the joy and fun I had experiencing the game with my friends. It had all of the moments that made us cry, laugh and discuss. Thank you for making it.

There are few stories and fewer games that have touched my heart like FFXIV. This was beautifully edited and I've had it on repeat, fondly crying as i remember what it was like to play Shadowbringers and Endwallker during the pandemic. Those expansions kept me out of a coffin I'd been dodging for a decade. I live with my heart open, and more friends than i ever thought I'd be blessed with.

"Has your journey been good? Has it been worthwhile?"
Yes. Yes, it was. Yes, it is. With all the pain, the tears, the fear, the sorrow... it was good from the beginning to the end.
