As a 32 year old man who was heavily abused and has struggled with depression and suicidal tendencies my whole life, I connected with Hermes on a deep level. "At the end of life's journey lies only death. So I ask you: Why live at all?" "If life is so sacred-so precious-why fill it with such misery?" I asked myself these exact questions, almost word for word so many times growing up. These questions and thoughts almost won out so many different times. Without those few precious connections to the people around me, without games, without this series, and without this one experience, I probably would have lost. "The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it." That quote broke me in 5.3. I was standing on the brink of it all again, and it made me remember why I kept getting up every day. "But do not avert your eyes. See your life for what it is." This one broke me all over again. After finally getting the strength to start working through my traumas, I got hit with this quote. "I can see them-the memories of a long, long journey." And then, finally, this at the end of Endwalker. Both life and this game have been full of ups, downs, and everything in between. It's been full of just so much stuff that it's impossible to keep track of it. But, at the end of the day, "It's the little things that make life worth living, don't you think?" Thank you so much for this video. I have watched it so many times over the past two years. As long as it's here, I'll cherish it. And after it's gone, I'll cherish it even more. A veritable well of emotions came up because of this video. This game is beyond beautiful and I wish more people had the ability or patience to experience the story. I wish I could experience it freshly myself again.

Endwalker not only takes the cake for my absolute favorite storyline in the game, but holds a special place in my heart for being a rock amidst rough waters during the time in my life that I played it. I finished the final trial about a week ago and have been taking my time with the patch msq for Endwalker, but Endwalker's storyline is truly something special.

Randomly came back to this after nearly a year of passing EW, and by the Twelve does this still move me. FFXIV is one of the games that's truly moved me with the storytelling and worldbuilding, I'd love to go back and experience it blindly again! Wonderfully made video, will watch and cry a lot again (this is real)

2 years later and Metion's words break me just as much as they did. Just before Endwalker released I moved across the country and know absolutely no one outside of my girlfriend. So it's been trying to rebuild a new life with new people as my immediate family is almost all dead and my sister and I are not close (long story). So loneliness and despair have been long time companions of mine. So being reminded by her what life truly is just broke me again.

Hi there, I don't remember when I stumbled upon this video. But with gladness, joy and sorrow in my heart this hurts in every viable facet available and yet makes me sigh with all the good memories I had playing the game. Try as I might, there are so very few people who can even begin to understand what playing this game meant to me at a particular point of my adult life. All the days and nights playing Shadowbringer and Endwalker, my wife would hear me and come check on me because she knew something was hitting me hard. As I share this video with others, I hope it display the amazing talent of the game as well as your editing.
