    ”Play it safe or risk it all in the name of domination” I guess it’s a fitting tagline.

    Here my tips: Start choosing NAmerica territories and just defend Mexico, Alaska and Greenland, if you can, expand to Venezuela, Kamchatka and Iceland. Attack SAmerica at once and protect Brazil. Then push from Europe and conect with Africa.

      Extra Tip: Get and defend Ontario ASAP as it gives you a lot invasion leverage to sweep the places you need. 6 border points with it.

    Play like my friends and palm other peoples armies off the board like David Blaine. If you blink they play chess like that too.

    Mistrust and deception are half the battle of this game. A well timed comment can completely change the flow of the game. That's why I love it. You get to sit down and work at a person's mind for a few hours and try to get them to destroy themselves lol

    south America is a pretty shitty continent to hold if someone has Africa and North America. You can't expand without an extremely costly war.

      LawnGnomePower I use to be pretty deffensive with Australia but the key to winning to SA is being really agressive, don't let your opponents take Africa or NA; put most of your troops, for example, in Central America instead of Venezuela: this way you will be protecting SA and denying NA. You can do the same with North Africa but it might be a bit more difficult.

    this was pretty basic if you played the game like 3 times before. the one minute content is not worth the one minute intor/outro

    I find it effective to capture Europe and Africa (and middle east) so that you can only be invaded through 4 countries, while getting a bonus of 8

      Fid same with the america and Australia Asia . I go for a small continent . Australia or South America then try for Asia or North America

  • @sirpasta4927
    @sirpasta4927 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Best strategy is to take africa, team up with whoever owns South America, then slowly advance into Europe and Asia. Whenever I play a game, europe and Asia are the two giant battlegrounds.

    my idiot brothers are the biggest reason I can't play the slow game, they ALWAYS rush play in early game and it's impossible to beat unless you can keep up with victories or if the dice roll against them *hard.*
    Plus they are obsessed with fighting over North America. it's so damn predictable.
    i'm glad almost everyone agrees Europe is a waste of time, though.

    • @lattelake9625
      @lattelake9625 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same but my brothers always team up then at the end of the game they will always fight it out in just Europe and north America

    • @ChiTownSports312
      @ChiTownSports312 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Europe in my opinion isn't a waste of time as it gives you the most extra armies at the start of your turn, giving you possible advantages in battle AND defense. If everyone else thinks it's a waste of time, take it for yourself and gain the advantage of 8 extra arimes at he start of your turns.

    • @syzyphyz
      @syzyphyz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It gives you good bonuses because it is difficult to defend and hold, the Americas and Australia especially are easy to defend.

  • @braincell4536
    @braincell4536 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    heres tips, if you know the people your playing with, do a armistice agreement and dont attack each other until every player is gone and the 2 of you are left. Or quickly destroy the other player next to you. Make sure to not get surrounded, this tactic doesnr work when your surrounded. I call it the blitzkrieg. which is always attack on the most forward front taking the continent by force. I know its stupid but once you have a lot of troops its pretty easy to win and destroy everyone. Capture europe first then asia. and then your basically like the cold war, east vs west.

    Missed one very VERY key point. 'Watch what your opponents are doing. '
    If you can nobel one territory on a continent to stop them drawing extra troupes.
    It must be done.
    No freinds in Risk. You lose freinds in Risk 😂👍

    sorry for the dislike but I have won 90% of the time by playing stupid and making sure my East asia and Pacific islands and Australia were somewhat secure but it always came down to Korea for me I could hold Korea like middle earth army held off the morridor army at helms deep big risk factor but with good roles which would usually work for me I would win.

    make a game pack with a player before you even open the box to play ! Winner is all that matters in the end! We played 6 players once and I planted in and around Australia and my girlfriend in South America and then meet in Africian. Move into America through Alaska and Central America ! Talk trash about invading each other from time to time! Before the others have figured you are a team the game will be over ! Then end as King and Queen of the world or fight it out to the end !

    bullshit I beat a military that had me 3/1 by holding up in the Korean peninsula and controlling the pacific over a game of risk that went around 16 hours I got stomped on every other contininent but holding up a strong hold over the Korea's paid off again I defeated an army 3 times my size that the other 4 people playing did not see comming I wasn't much on assault/invasion if I did it would be just to annoy the occupied forces and attenionally get wipped out to trick them into thinking my moral, strategy, and military were weak. My opponent thinking "this is the last guy left and he has all his units pumped into the Korean peninsula" making that person this guy has no idea of the game and has pumped all his army into Korea it's a high risk strategy but if you play passively enough and pretend to be stupid while may be a high risk it's a satisfying victory to best a person that controls the whole globe while you're backed into Korea.

    Let's not pretend that there's a whole lot of strategy in this game. The video was roughly 1 minute of strategy. That's how deep this game is.... Do yourself a favour and get 1775: rebellion - it's also a super simple game but it has decisions in it that actually matter. And it doesn't outstay it's welcome like Risk does. (plus! no player elimination which turdy Risk suffers from)

    • @ChiTownSports312
      @ChiTownSports312 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well in RISK you really have to fight before you get eliminated, and that's what happens in real life. If you can't defend yourself or fight with your armies, you can't win and get taken over, and these are only SOME strategies and there are way more that work and don't work depending on if you set that strategy up right.
