Same here! I couldn't care less about new maps. But as far as I know the developers are still working on improving AI, so eventually it will become better, it can take a while though...
Thank you, this strategy saved me when 2 players were so much stronger! I went from beginner to intermediate in 1 day. I’ve won 4 games in a row thanks to your videos. My record is now 8-25. From 4-25 to 8-25 thank you
Blue's move to put troops in Australia for a couple of rounds to stop you, the Grandmaster, taking it until you had the cards to force it (then pulling out) was actually pretty smart
i love the irony in risk. people want others to do the dirty work like fighting each other or breaking continents but when someone wants them to do the dirty they get all pissed. like its really funny to watch
That's the frustrating part about Risk, it's a great game but online there are so many stalemates because no one wants to attack and there is no communication. There is often no incentive to attack and in many cases there is actually incentive NOT to attack which is counter productive to creating a fun game. I wish they would implement either a timer option or wild cards that multiply troop bonuses randomly or maybe even take away troops if you don't take over a certain number of territories in a certain amount of time. Too many games devolve into people attacking the same territory to get a card while everyone waits for someone else to attack.
what a nice game! i am having the same situation sometimes nowadays when i try to balance the game but the other player dont let me to do it and it is really annoying, i have been waiting for a video like this and finally i got the tips and tricks that will help my to increase my rank in no time ;) very nice 15 minutes video!!
This is a great video. This is also the biggest mistake I keep making. I don't necessarily want to hold Australia or any continent, but the problem is when I have troops committed but (although not exactly here) get pinned in and now I either have to defend my already committed troops and accept a huge loss. Thanks to you and Master Risk's advice I've cracked the top 9,000 but haven't got to GM yet.
If you're one of the strongest players, then you can try to be more agressive and expand to other continents, or maybe attack another strong player to his continent to see how he reacts (not always a great decision though), or you can simply continue waiting till other players take action... If you're pretty weak or if you just build your troops into one big army without having any continent, then you don't really have other choice but just to continue waiting
WTF is it with Australia that makes so many people willing to die early in the game for it? I just had a game where after the first turn I had 10 troops or so in Australia, a bot had another 6 or so troops in Australia. The green player had 7 troops in India.....and instead of going after SA or Europe he then proceeded to start bringing his troops from all over to lurk outside of Australia. On top of my troops and the bot's already in Australia (around 16 combined after the first turn) the blue player had around 12 troops in Asia close to Australia. So......to take Australia Green would have had to take me out.....and I had more troops than Green in the first place.....he then would have had to take out the bot's troops.....then he would have had to deal with Blue who no doubt would have swooped in to take Australia for himself. But did that stop Green? Nope, he pooled his troops and waited until he could trade in cards and he had about a 5 troop advantage over me and attacked. He knocked me out of Australia but wasn't strong enough to take out the purple bot so he gained absolutely nothing and just weakened us both. I ended up trading in cards a turn or two later and coming back and finishing Green off but I do not fucking understand what makes players suicide over Australia early in a game like that. I get if you can take it and hold it but why do so many people want to take it no matter whether they can hold it or not? If you can't hold Australia WTF would you even try to take it? The Green player was an expert too. Yet he STILL basically suicided to get Australia. I do not get it..
Man I like how you played. And you talk😂. Punk especially, would be a Clint Eastwood if you would have said" Do you feel lucky punk"? However you made one mistake I think you didn't catch though from a fellow Grandmaster...
Risk4Ever you're welcome man! Say IDK if you noticed but ater that 6:14 timer after green made his final move you had plenty of troops to have taken him out and got a triple card trade in. It would have made the game quicker for you as well as gotten possible extra continents.
@@austinbradley3419 I think it was barely worth it, as I needed to take 22 troops in total, and the continents I would have gotten would be easily recaptured by the yellow player again, haha 😁
@@Risk4Ever you're probably right. I forgot it's fixed 😂😁. I did take out a player and had nine cards to trade in fixed once. I got over thirty reinforcements and I did win fixed that game. It was a castle map though😂
Whoever owns Australia you win the fking game. Annoying how players just camp Australia and just stacks up there since your army is way to big for other people to conquer you.
@Risk4Ever Oh haha, got it wrong. The reason I said that is because of how you use phrases like "so much nice" "so much amazing" which is a grammatical structure I've heard Indians say

"could AI do anything smart" - NO" This is a problem for me. I wish they would stop churning out maps and actually make genuine improvements.

You get opponents cards when eliminating him from the game?
