Murray's Score this season has def been the smartest he's ever scored. Not as many memorable new pieces of music as in say, series 4, but so many interwoven melodies, careful placements and lighter touches. Everytime we think he can't get better, he does.
THIS is the Murray Gold I'd have liked to see more of in RTD2, such a beautiful piece of music. To be fair, I respect the fact he's not letting the music completely overwhelm the scenes this time round like some would say he used to do, but combined with the stunning performances from Ncuti and Millie, it's one of my favourite moments this season and genuinely has me tearing up every time I hear Ruby whisper those three words as she leaves the TARDIS.
I didn't realize until the end of the season that this motif wasn't actually Ruby's theme. It's very tonally reminiscent somehow, but it's not in Life of Sunday at all and it only plays whenever her mom is mentioned, so it's really more like a "family" or "longing" theme. They put the two themes together quite nicely when she finally meets her mother th-cam.com/video/Mo6cVsmM3yI/w-d-xo.html
Which in itself is a variation of a song from The Doctor, The Widow and The Tardis, which in itslef is a variation of The Doctors Theme. So now all Doctors from 05 onwards have had The Doctors theme play at some point. yay
Its fucking raw, truly undercooked & need longer to alow everything to breath, 8 ep really is the worst for drwho season, we blinked & it was done 💀 overall not really much to show for it

It's hard to believe Ruby shared the same amount of episodes as Dan had, and yet was so more developed as a character.
Not by that much honestly 💀
@@GarethMcD-zq8eiI mean, have you watched Flux? 💀
I think there's a fairly easy argument to make about her being developed more than Yaz who had...more than 8 episodes...
@@SeanS102 Or just any of the Chibnall companions in general. I was just making the comparison because Dan and Ruby had the same amount of episodes.
"What's the point of being alive?"
Murray Gold once again has made me feel, between that and Ncuti, I was just crying and saying "why is he on his own! He shouldn't be on his own."
You should hop on T
The "Am I ever going to see you again?" and "I love you..." was heartbreakingly cruel 💔💔

Perchance, do my ears catch a slight hint or nod to A Madman With a Box? Please, oh please, tell me that's what I'm hearing. 😭
Careful you're gonna invoke the Shepherd's Boy denier guy,

Such a good episode such a phenomenal soundtrack throughout the whole season ❤💙

ahhhh she such an amazing actress I would love so se here again in a special or in other projects
She is confirmed for the Christmas Special and Season 2
@@DalekCaanOfSkaro omg yeaaaas thats such good news
I absolutely loved that series
Could you upload the soundtrack when sutekh is being dragged through the vortex by the tardis, it was such a powerful track
Love this! Any chance you could do the whole sequence from Ruby taking Sutekh through the time vortex with 15th theme?
Hey Oswin, did you catch the "Never tell me the rules" variant? I've only seen the episode once but I believe it was when all the deaths were reversed
Yes omg that was my favourite part of the soundtrack this episode. Almost thought we were gonna get a variant of the Doctor's Series 4 them there

This isn't the last we've seen of Ruby, she'll be back, she's filmed for the next series and has been photographed with Ncuti and the new companion
Murray Gold saved this mediocre episode with his beautiful music
Yall btw Ruby will be back next season
Haha, didn't realize you had this up already. I tried to make a cleaner version as well th-cam.com/video/BhgpEQ1rGh8/w-d-xo.html

What a terrible episode, even Murray Golds score can't make it tolerable.
