*Edit Note:* Meant to say *1989* Ferrari F40 & we also want to correct that it's the 4-speed automatic transmission, not 5-speed Hey guys! As we’re documenting cars for the museum we are trying out this “Museum Collection” format. We are planning to release one video like this every two weeks or so while giving you longer “Vlog” videos the rest of the month. What did you think? And thanks for watching!
That's awesome guys, but you should do this alongside the vlogs, maybe during the week once every two weeks. That way you will build up engagement and will work the algorithm alongside our weekly rendez -vous of the Sunday ! Anyway, we love the work you put in and are the best to ever do it !
One of your best videos yet. Keep it going. Might need a new channel for these. Cataloging the cars this way gives them immortal status. They may rot or rust but these will go on in digital format forever
You want another 1/4 million 1/2 million subs. This review format for every single damn Benz in the place. This is what the rest of the channels can't even come close to doing. You have most of the baddest mercs on this continent. You alone can provide all the content that the rest can't. ❤
Chris is right. These are cars that most of us only saw in magazines or books. Show the details... And occasionally race a couple of the tuned ones to see which tuner really did make the fastest
A beautiful design and when mercs were properly built, not to a budget, last and will always be a classic, modern mercs are all about tec and not build quality, they have now completely lost that quality feel.
Go for it man, got my R129 SL500 over 5 years ago and haven't lost even a bit of the excitement of driving it each time, the R129 generation SL-Class is easily one of the best cars of all time.
Code 911 means that the car got a special treatment after it was built. Meaning it was checked for rattels and they made sure that the car was 100% perfect. Also ist has most likely more paint layers than a normal bulit car. This makes it even more special
Really digging the Museum Collection format to highlight the Brabus 7.3S, very nice details and history about the car - also great job editing in all the images and text details. 10/10 Episode
As a brabus owner myself the w211 i love the fact that so many people have no clue what it is. Its styling is less aggressive than a amg but some people who know there cars will come and talk or ask questions. Has full body tuning package. Exhaust. Suspension. Engine tuning and interior accents so theres no Mercedes badges on it but all original and of course its in black. Subtle yet you just know its something special.
Yes it IS the most awesome R129 exotic machine on the road still to this day. Makes me want to ship my ‘91 500SL to Brabus for modifications. Thank you for taking the time you to showcase this “specific” exciting piece of ‘timeless’ machinery for us. Bruno Sacco still to this day (even though he has passed) has not let us R129 owners down with his design work he did on this wonderful high performance machine (which Brabus certainly enhanced beyond our most wildest imagination) - but as I said before - it is a timeless design that will always be at the forefront of automotive design. And I thank Brabus for redesigning it to an even more desirable high performance level! Blessings to you all and stay safe. - Mark
Im a merc collector and this is definitely out of my league!i had an amg one like it from 95 but i sold it so cheap that i regret doing that 15 yrs ago !i wish i didnt,i didnt realize that these cars are never going out of style! Love mercs, love amgs but definetely adore a brabus!! Cheers!
Brothers…can you imagine for a second the freak out Jim Carrey would have done if the shop that towed his SL in the movie Liar Liar was a Brabus 7.3S instead? I love you guys! Can’t wait to see the museum soon!
This review format is dope tho, really does a good job at explaining the origin, history and what makes the car special. Definitely looking forward to seeing more like this, 2x uploads a week? One like this and one behind the scenes?
MAN THE AMOUNT OF GAME AND INFORMATION WE GET FROM THESE VIDEO REGARDING THE HISTORY OF MERCEDES TUNING IS SO DOPE... THANK YOU ALL AT THE PATINA COLLECTIVE... 💯💯💯
Thanks guys, this is one of your best videos thus far. We want backstory and deep dive into cars and engines. You guys will be one of the best channels on TH-cam…
This car reminds me of the good old times. Such a cool car. This and the 190E 2.5-16V EVO II are the most stylish benz cars for me. I remember watching German movie Manta Manta in the 90s with that cool Benz in it.
As a Norwegian where we have the highest prices on cars, strict modifications rules etc. also some of the lowest speed limits with the highest fines 🙁 I can’t imagine how much the original owner payed, very cool.
جميل جدا جدا جدا المرسيدس ملكة السيارات بلا أي منازع هذه من أعظم السيارات على الأرض🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡 very very very beautiful Mercedes is the undisputed queen of cars This is one of the greatest cars on earth
I’m totally hooked on special edition Mercedes, you seem to own them all, what a job, l love your enthusiasm and knowledge, you obviously love what you do. Very jealous, you make amazing videos. It’s a real treat seeing these beautiful cars reviewed.
Really like the profile type format of this video. I recognize some of that Brabus footage from the Welt documentary. Their classic division is crazy. Love that Brabus 129.
I don't want to nit pick... but some objective comments form an aficionado: it seems this is a "regular" design with the engine design tune option. Normally the front bumper lower lip is one straight line. You can see it in the Jeremy Clarkson Part at the beginning. The Brabus back bumper is also somewhat more muscular than the regular stock. There were also specific Barbus Design side skirts. This car "misses" the period correct Body Kit but given the horrendous price for the engine tune one can understand that some owner opted out. The wheels you have are not 100% period correct but very nice. (Its from the CL Coupes which came after 2001) Normally you would have the three spoke star or the "multi spoke star" option for the early period SL''s until 1996. Still this is one impressive car to have and built in super small numbers. I once had the privilege o drive an original SL 73 AMG. Truly amazing straight line performance. Congrats on you collection and purchasing all these cars and on the channel.
It’s crazy how the Germans flipped off the Italians with this car 😂 really just shitted all over any other exotic sport car there was. Insane 🔥 Brabus boys
Lovely one ! Good job ! I like the way Vico talking not raping during talk, sounds more serious and respectful. What ever, I like u guys keep pushing it ! Thx for the videos and everything u doing for the Benz community. ❤
I love the R129 modell and a few years ago I found a 99 SL280 AMG pack in Germany in mint condition for only 11500€. I did’t have the money then but if I struggled a lil bit I could made it happen. I still think about that silver SL that got away. My favourite models are R129, W124 and the W140. Greatings from Europe! Great content!
You have a legend amongst cars. Consider yourself blessed to own this beautifull car. I mean, driving this car must feel like making a trip trough heaven on a shiny afternoon. Am i right?
This is a great direction to take the channel! Love the history and stock video of brabus factory. These videos will become your bread and butter, Maybe even put tags in the titles so they are the first result for someone looking for a specific merc.
You guys are absolutely awesome! I love the in depth review of the car, the music, the vibe of The Patina Collective! Keep up the amazing work Daniel & Vico!
My personal Dream Car! How often have we been to Bottrop back in the days just to see if we can see one of these cars. Sometimes we were lucky and saw a, for us, hypercar on test drive.
Great video! I don‘t wanna be that guy, but the transmission in that car is the 4-speed (722.3) without electronic control, not the 5-speed (722.6) which would have a stage in the lever for locking 4th gear. The 5-Speed was not available till 95
Absolutely u guys should snipe for the latest model of the r129 as what's was showcased in top gear was the 1999 with a hard panoramic top that produces 592hp twin turbo
Ahhh I was just about to say y’all are testing that museum format !! For each car in the museum that has a review create a QR code for it that links to the video. Interactive experience while also providing you all with digital traffic and SEO traction
I could kill to have a post 1999 R129. It's the ultimate Mercedes together with the W140. And everyone that says the opposite never drove one let alone owned one. I had a 2000 SL 320 V6 from 2004 to 2007 and I've been missing it since :(
I like how this video was very informative and explaining the R129 BRABUS 7.3s came about. I'm glad it's part of the collection and that it's going to be in the museum for us to explore and check out. Keep finding Gems 💎 and keep being great. #ThePatinaCollective #Benzonly #Thebiggesttoeverdoit

Gotta put out hella videos to catch the algorithm so the channel will blow
That's awesome guys, but you should do this alongside the vlogs, maybe during the week once every two weeks.

Anyway, we love the work you put in and are the best to ever do it !
Yes I like that idea, a lil bit more time to wait for the vlogs but it will be satisfying as it will be a lengthier episode 👍🏿
Love it keep it up
One of your best videos yet. Keep it going. Might need a new channel for these. Cataloging the cars this way gives them immortal status. They may rot or rust but these will go on in digital format forever

Exactly right my friend. My thoughts exactly while watching this video. Backstory and deep dive into the cars and engines is what a love to see.
Chris is right. These are cars that most of us only saw in magazines or books. Show the details... And occasionally race a couple of the tuned ones to see which tuner really did make the fastest
Ai can write up a lot of the content.
Really like the idea of putting the spotlight on an individual car for each video, awesome job again from Patina 🔥
the R129 is still the best SL class ever. Timeless design, looks as beautiful today as in the 90's.
A beautiful design and when mercs were properly built, not to a budget, last and will always be a classic, modern mercs are all about tec and not build quality, they have now completely lost that quality feel.
right when I try to heal from the R129 fever you guys upload this, I'm going to have to get myself a R129 now
I watch ur beamng videos it's good to see u are a mercedes fan
Go for it man, got my R129 SL500 over 5 years ago and haven't lost even a bit of the excitement of driving it each time, the R129 generation SL-Class is easily one of the best cars of all time.

This channel will go down in history as the best car story tellers of a generation of pure performance!

Patina Collective are pure legends... Hats off to both these brothers... don't ever stop G's
can't get enough of this channel, this makes me want to send my s65 to brabus one day
This review format is dope tho, really does a good job at explaining the origin, history and what makes the car special.

Great video -- this Brabus SL is so sweet. The numbers it put out in the 90s are amazing for the time period
It was great seeing the history explained in this video format.
Having longer vlogs will be great though 😁
I love the passion for cars. Only spoken like somebody who LOVES cars.

Mercedes is the undisputed queen of cars
This is one of the greatest cars on earth
This video format highlighting one individual vehicle and telling its story is absolute fire !! The best to ever do it !
Blue ABC SEC, White SEC AMG, Black M119 SEC and this car are my favorites of Patina collection!
You guys really stepped up your "content" game with this video - great job. This is a Bold approach.
I’m totally hooked on special edition Mercedes, you seem to own them all, what a job, l love your enthusiasm and knowledge, you obviously love what you do. Very jealous, you make amazing videos. It’s a real treat seeing these beautiful cars reviewed.
Glad you like them!
Another Sunday banger from the Patina boyz. What a dope ride!
I love the format and style. Having the format variant will bring many additional viewers.
Defnitly best car in the world. Right behind my SL 300-24..
For economy, comfort and less tickets weigh on my mind ..

Has to be one of the best videos to date! Hope the Patina go through the collection and do more videos like this
Thank You Daniel and Vico for curating such a stunning video on this very special Brabus R129.

Really like the profile type format of this video. I recognize some of that Brabus footage from the Welt documentary. Their classic division is crazy. Love that Brabus 129.
Content. The patina collection!!! Lovely stuff guys😊. This is what you call live levelling up. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
My Sunday morning coffee and watching Patina collective
The production of this video was amazing, focusing on a single cars history is much more captivating.
I agree. Best video the Patina boys have done. Well documented.
*Glad to se eyou guys taking this channel more serious instead of getting haircuts and acting cool. This is the content we need.*
If I had over 300 Benz’s I’d think I’m cool tf 😂😂😂

I have no words. This is beautiful and amazing.
I just love the looks of the Brabus SL. And the engine is a complete monster!
Woho Notweigans are the Saudi / Arabs of the North 🎉😂 Great owner!
Beautiful, informative, rare, passionate, well executed. Bravo gentlemen!
Daniel is a natural - commanding
It’s crazy how the Germans flipped off the Italians with this car 😂 really just shitted all over any other exotic sport car there was. Insane 🔥 Brabus boys

What a car! I'm jealous of this one. Nice purchase
Great format. Perfect initiation for newcomers in the Benz world. Congratulations!
This body style is so iconic

DEFINITELY NO COMPETITION ! I LIKE IT SO MUCH ! WELL DONE BRABUS !
HAPPY AND ENJOYABLE DRIVING TO THE OWNER !
I fw this channel hard. Good shit yall.
Next level stuff once again guys. Love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Awsome episode! But given the Scandinavian climate, I sure hope this wasn't his everyday car. Autobahn Machine BEAST for real.
Mercedes pre 2008 were built for the scandinavian climate. . After 2008, the “lower” models are just crap, rusting very fast.
My personal Dream Car!
How often have we been to Bottrop back in the days just to see if we can see one of these cars.
Sometimes we were lucky and saw a, for us, hypercar on test drive.
Excellent format! Really enjoyed this episode
Shout out to Brother Daniel! Great effort and professional presentation!!!
incredible video. Fantastic commentary. Mercedes could learn something from Patina.

Great video! I don‘t wanna be that guy, but the transmission in that car is the 4-speed (722.3) without electronic control, not the 5-speed (722.6) which would have a stage in the lever for locking 4th gear. The 5-Speed was not available till 95
Great car. I m using w210 1996. Still going strong
Oh my! I Drove that car in 2003! =)
definitely my new favorite format from you guys by a mile, keep making these!
Absolutely u guys should snipe for the latest model of the r129 as what's was showcased in top gear was the 1999 with a hard panoramic top that produces 592hp twin turbo
I'm very lucky to own a Brabus 7.3 R129 1993, but man, does it need work. I'm jealous of how this owner kept his mint after all this time.
Masterpiece ❤🎉
Loving this new format!
Great shots and dope soundtrack - slick production!
Insanely great video!! Please keep making content like this for other rare/unique cars, you just earned a sub.
