Have you been on the Moscow Metro before? Perhaps you have a favorite station. There are so many different types across the whole network. Modern futuristic stations through the first station on the original first line. Let me know which station you like the most?

Very nice! Actually impressive that Russians can design and build such modern public transit facilities that bear no resemblance to what we think of as the drab utilitarian architecture of the old commie Soviet Union. As good or better than anything in Europe or the West. You would never find such clean and well maintained public infrastructure works in the USA. I think those textured tiles are for the visually impaired. Also I didn't see markings on the platform for the train door locations as you might see on other metro train stations... Keep up the good work Russell!

hope YT doesn't ban him for showing Russia as is. They don't like it in the West if Russia is shown nice so YT shuts down these channels. :( I know at least 2 vloggers banned for showing Russia as is - i.e. nice, friendly, beautiful. Their videos were not even political, they just showed how beautiful Russia is, talking to people. The other 3 vloggers i know were banned too for their political views. So there is NO freedom of speech on YT. None. And in the West there is none. I am not going to elaborate, sorry, but there is no freedom of speech. Watch, my comment will be deleted. if not, they are just watching who is saying what. scumbags.

Putin doesn't have anything to do with it. It's Sobyanin, the Moscow mayor. Moscow has its own budget. You can technically go to any city in Russia and assess the work of the mayor. Some look amazing, some don't, and it has nothing to do with Putin. Putin is the President of the country, he has no time to deal with every city's budget or metro stations or museum openings. Every city has its money and how the mayor utilizes the money for the sake of the city and people, that's what matters. Putin should not even be responsible for that. He has a bigger fish to fry. However! I understand your point. The mayors and regional governors became more responsible under Putin. I give him credit for that. Absolutely. Don't get me wrong - i love Putin. But I also want to give the credit to those mayors where credit is due.

Moscow’s metro is a collection of museums! There is a museum of paleontology, a museum of architecture and an art museum. It is also very comfortable, safe and extremely affordable. The stations don't look even remotely as beautiful as the ones in Moscow metro, except maybe the new silver line. Moscow city itself looks grander than ever.
