Gallons a day. Probably to deal with ulcers, and acid associated with stress, but also some childhood thing, mothers made them drink a lot of milk. The calcium and magnesium calms the nerves , and the Vitamin D added helps because depressed people never go out in the sun. They crave it.
I have never seen anything like that bathroom. All those sanitary pads just thrown on the floor and no way to wash. I understand there can be mental illness at the root of some of these disgusting homes but God above how can it get this bad? So sad that someone lives this way and nobody checks on them. So sad that there are so many ppl who need homes that wouldn’t destroy them this way.
Having worked with people with serious MH issues, unfortunately this is how many choose to live. And also, they have a right to make their own choices and you can't make them clean up. Where do you draw the line with the law? I would prefer you being able to clean up before it gets this bad. It's a shame to see people live like this.

I don't think this is an official channel. I think its just someone that has recorded lots of old shows off the TV and badly edited them together. Usually this show has a few different jobs and they constantly switch between them.

There’s mental illness then laziness or just not caring because it’s not their property, I’m sure if it was their own property that they owned, they wouldn’t treat it in a way that would compromise it. Mental illness is used as a scape goat too much
Siân Zia Brown they get like that because they are severely depressed and that turns to self neglect in all its ways . I know it’s hard to understand but in my line of work in the past you wouldn’t believe how people stop caring about themselves . Social services have their hands full with those cases .

Maria Cebrian sorry but I don’t agree. I’m BPD and bipolar, my daughter died in May shortly after birth and I was hospitalised after trying to kill myself, I was in a really dark place. During this time, no my house was not clean, it was messy but not at all to this level. I do believe mental illness has an effect on how clean your house is but it is combined with laziness too

When i see this i’m now thankful to my parents teaching me discipline. At the beginning of my teenage years i was forced to clean my room, cook my own food if i was hungry, throw the garbage, clean the dishes and do laundry.

The ironic thing is that these people probs say they have no time to do cleaning but they have time to climb mountains of crap and search for hours for something. If your a hoarder just remember that it may take a few weeks to get used to cleaning but after a while it feels like second nature. Everyone makes a mess now and again. It’s very important to get your gloves dirty to tackle a job. It ain’t gonna clean it’s self. Our mum’s can’t always be there you need to do it yourself and trust me your mental health is a lot better ( for me anyway) when I am in a clean house. ( Doesn’t have to be spotless.) but fit for use. It’s the grey ground. That’s the best place in my op! Have a great day everyone! Xxx
Well maybe their mother didn't clean either. But you are right when you say that it's easier to clean and have things organize than having to look in all that filth for them. And you are right again because I used to suffer with depression and I would feel a lot better emotionally when my home is clean. If my home wasn't clean I would feel worse emotionally.
