- Extreme Cleaners, Caz and Tee, tackle the dirtiest homes in the country and perform extreme home makeovers for those most in need.
Caz and Tee run a cleaning company in the UK and specialise in clearing out the filthiest homes.
Alongside their normal work they do jobs for free; they’ve seen enough hoarders in their time to understand that it is a condition that needs help and are determined to do just that:
“We do some jobs pro-bono because people are crying out for help, and they’re not getting any.”
- Caz.
From scrubbing the worst toilet to hauling other people’s trash, these two can take on anything - except maybe this one…
Will they be able to transform the home or will they leave defeated covered in filth?

I was waiting to see the before/after and they didn't show it. They should have ripped the carpet from the whole house. The girls need to wear masks. 4 days work, very smelly. They are wonderful.

Why are these ladies not wearing respirator masks?? I’ve done this kind of job and am always flabbergasted that these folks dont wear masks to protect themselves from fecal matter and urine and mold.......

I'm praying that they had masks on when off-camera. Even if they're not the ones that do the actual clean up, everyone there needs PPE, including camera crew.

After having 8 children I learned how to clean anything without vomiting.
It's my super power.
I have 7 kids but if I would see this flat, I would RUN away as fast as I could...and never come back even for a 1000£ i would not do it!! There should be more than 2 people to finish this job

I love these women. Their compassion is incredible.

That's what I was thinking the whole time. There is literal shit in there and they aren't wearing masks until the very end.
Feel so sorry for the pets, having to live in such filth. Couldn't her grown up children help her?
How were all the groceries being brought in? I saw cans from soda, would it not make sense that bringing groceries in was a bit harder than hauling trash out?

Watching this, as someone who has not quite been at this stage of living in a dump, but also not that far from it.. Wow, I can appreciate what you do for people!
I was even thinking, if I had more energy (autoimmuun disease causing very low levels of energy), I'd love to do something like you ladies are doing, for other people. Who knows if I get better at some point in my life though. It is inspiring what you two do. MEANINGFUL job. I have only managed for a short time, with a lot of help to get there and keep on it, to keep my household homely and clean enough. It makes such a big difference to your mental well being, just to have space to move around and a litteral space of peace for your mind.
Dust and mold around you can aggravate a person's system. Anybody who can live for five years surrounded by garbage and fecal matter must have a very strong immune system just to survive.

She was an embalmer and turned to this job? Don't get me wrong, I respect what you're doing. You're literally heaven sent for the hoarders and everyone who's not able to cope with all that. I do it myself and it's really satisfied to be honest. But hell, I thought embalmers are quite well paid.

I love how in this series the hoarders have either accepted getting rid of their stuff or are forced to. Whereas with Hoarders, they fight for nearly every piece and making the cleaners jobs difficult (It may be a part of the healing process, but it is frustrating to watch).
yeah, Hoarders is more like Intervention where it's an entertainment show for the ratings, and their casting directors purposely look for people who they know will be difficult and dramatic
I think that Hoarders is scripted for the drama. I watched the show when it first debuted, and it was more about the hoard and cleanup, and less about personal issues. Then it changed to focus more on the issues, with as much drama as possible. I stopped watching, I have enough drama of my own to deal with, but at least my house is clean.
@Scorched Earth i agree, but i have figured out a big part of the hoarder's 'problems-drama', and that is that they have 'hidden or stashed their valuables and money and are afraid that they will be tossed in the bins -
but that all seem to be very scripted and dramatised almost exactly the SAME, and yet, we do know that a lot of it is REAL, because most of us have known someone like them, in one way or another...
Why do hoarders always have to bring pets into their mess...

Those women are angels 😇 Loved how non-judgmental they are, especially when a person doing that job could easily go down that road of judgment. However the fact that she says, who am I to say, to know where she is, her mental state? All I know is she needs our help, she's trusting us to help her and that's what I'm here to do....followed up with....what's happened with humanity. Can't help but love them both. ❤

And here I am feeling horrible about myself that I haven’t scrubbed my skirting boards for 3 months or the inside of my kitchen cupboards for 6 months. I’m worried about invisible dirt and these people are surrounded by actual dirt.
Is there a link to support these amazing women? Protective, nurturing and uplifting. This should be the only aspect of hoarding we see, their identity should be protected like children.

When cleaners are dealing with that level of decay they should be wearing respirators to breathe clean air
University of California has a channel here on YT where one topic was the modern cluttered life of the middleclass. Some part of the problem that it's often fairly cheap to have the delivery when purchasing stuff but it's a bit more difficult and expensive to do away with your old furniture when buying the new sofa that came by free delivery.
