You have 2011-14 seats hence why it had black seats with red stitching. 11-14 also has black trim w red sticking around the whole car. Just get 11-14 door panels and airbag colors are different between 08-10 as well

I'm gonna get one soon but just thought I'd throw that out there. I love the videos man, I love the subie I think it looks sick, and hell of a paint job man. I watch every day. Vac master professional is definitely the way to go love the bushel but this one is similarly priced and doubles as a shop vac can’t beat the suction power!!!!
FYI @16:15…I’ve got a 2008 STI which comes with suede on all four doors as well as the center console armrest. 2008 had Grey seats with grey stitching. Who ever had your car before you upgraded the seats to 2010+ STI which came with black seats and red stitching 😊
Also, good idea on the painting the door trims, I have same issue, who ever previous owner was, ether he was chewing on them or what, but they are mess, Ill be doing same thing you did, looks nice black on black

honestly, the bissel spot clean pro is amazing. It works really well and is super easy. I have already cleaned the entire interior of my ae86, frs, and wrx. And i picked up mine for $199 cdn.

Yes check your cabin air filter, I got an RSX in 2016 and when I was driving it home the smell was funky, stop got air some of those Black Ice joints and kept it moving a week or so later, I was putting a new filter in, and a rat nest with all kinds of rat shit.

Since the interior is gutted and cabin filter looking like that, it would be a good idea to have the AC system particularly the cooling coil cleaned as well.
Not sure what year yours is, but earlier year (2008-2010) GR STIs had grey alcantara trim and seats, they switched to black and red I believe when they did the facelift in 2011. So it seems like you have mismatched year parts. Looks good regardless and is an easy fix.
The reason the door dont match the dash is because the 08 Sti had grey Alcantara with silver stitch and the seats you have are from a 2010 up which were black w/red stitch.
Ive got a Evo 10 that had to be parked outside for couple years and the front dash and rear panel behind the back seats have some fading, would you recomend the Cerakote trim wipes you use on them? Only seen you use those on the exterior panels

Yo I got answers for u. Those door panel arm rests are supposed to be leather and black with red stitch. Those grey alcantera are from an 08-09 sti. That sti is also supposed to have blinkers on the mirrors.
The door panel and seats don’t match cause the seats are out of a 2011+ STi. When I had my 08 hatch the alcantara on my seats were that grey color with white stitching like the door panel piece
Just so you guys know there is no leather in that car. Its they use a plastic material that resembles the look of leather. The only car companies that use real leather are exotics like Porsche, Ferrari, etc.. The best way to clean your interior is just wipe it down with a microfiber and all purpose cleaner. The best dressing/conditioner you can use is 303 aerospace protectant. Im a professional detailer BTW.

I use the bissel spot clean pro and its definitely a trooper! Cheap and works amazing with all types of carpet.
