I used this method with corn syrup (instead of glycerin) for a mold of soft plastic fishing lures and it did better than I expected for first time pouring a mold. Thank you so very much!
I watched this a long time ago and thought it was really neat. Now that I need to make food safe molds, I am so happy that you posted this. Thank you sooooo much!
thank you for the vid, I have some pro platinum food grade silicone but it's very expensive. I've been looking through tons of videos out there to make a mold but they're not food safe.
Best tutorial on this recipe I’ve seen so far. Show us your chocolate castings. I casted a resin piece yesterday and was very pleased with the detail it captured.
It keeps for a while months even but the more you use it the more it will damage. i didn't keep mine in the fridge and it was okay but after a couple of onths it did crack a little.
Yes, that is true, I hope I can keep up with all the social and posting things. One thing at a time. I hope I improve over time. Thank you for all your support.
I can't hear anything you're saying, but i noticed you turn the stove on after you mixed it all. Would it be ok to turn the heat on before you add the gelatin? Heat up the water and glycerin before the gelatin and the gelatin will mix better, right?
I could hear you just fine. You just needed to turn up your volume. I have also been looking for a way to make molds. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it has worked with resin? Thank you for your video
Hi, Firstly, I love your dog. The way he/she sits there taking not a blind bit of notice.. My dog is like "what you gonna do mum, I don't like the look of this..I'm off!!" lol Secondly... How do you find out these things??? It's amazing! Thirdly... You say resin can be used... but won't the resin heat up to hot for the mould and potentially melt it? Great video.. Hope to see your beautiful doggy some more...
+Jane Cleveland Her name is Zoe and she loves to just to be in the same room as me. I find it by being online way to much and just trying things out. The heat that resin gets to is not hot enuff to melt the mold. It needs to be melted on the stove or in a microwave. Would you like me to do a video showing how it works for different things?
Yes please... If you wouldn't mind... that's very kind of you! I know what you mean about being online way to much.. I can be on my laptop for hours too.. I just love TH-cam... The amount of stuff you can learn.. Nice to know her name.. Zoe's is beautiful.. I so love dogs! Mine is a big American bulldog/Staffy mix and he is scared of everything....lol
This is the ONLY mold tutorial that has worked for me
I am glad it worked for you

Hi, thanks for showing how to make it. I wonder how long we can use or keep the mold.
I used this method with corn syrup (instead of glycerin) for a mold of soft plastic fishing lures and it did better than I expected for first time pouring a mold. Thank you so very much!
Did you add the same amount as the glycerin or was it different amounts?
I watched this a long time ago and thought it was really neat. Now that I need to make food safe molds, I am so happy that you posted this. Thank you sooooo much!
I am glad it helped
I've been looking for a cheap molding solution for hours. This is perfect. Thank you so much!
+Melanie Anne im glad it can help just know the mold can rip after a couple uses. Just melt it down and re-make the mold if that happens.
Thank you!
Glycerine is not cheap in Australia, so this mould is about $25 worth. Great video though.
Gotta try this. Looks great for a short term, quick and dirty mold.
I can't wait to make custom resin "Legos" for my grandbabies! Thanks for sharing this info! 💞🇺🇸
Thank you so much for posting this video. Helped me a lot. 😊👍
I want to mold croc charms and use them for candy molds will that work?
thank you for the vid, I have some pro platinum food grade silicone but it's very expensive. I've been looking through tons of videos out there to make a mold but they're not food safe.
Can this gelatin mold withstand hot sugar?
Very smart technique. Is there a way of making the mold firmer? Maybe adding more gelatin? 🐧
More gelatin, less glycerin. Glyceryn makes it rubery
@@dinacv6528 Thank you 🐧
Haven't tried this myself but you could try agra agra, it has a higher melting rate and it's firmer.
Best tutorial on this recipe I’ve seen so far. Show us your chocolate castings. I casted a resin piece yesterday and was very pleased with the detail it captured.
How long does this mold last for?
ok but will this mold (get moldy) if u keep it for a long time. some of us like to have the molds for years. i cant see this lasting long.
Put it in a vacuum sealed bag.

What release would you use if you were doing a 2 part mold?
Conservation ? How long can u use it?
Hi, thanks much for the tutorial. I have question. What’s the glycerin for and can I substitute it? Thanks.
someone in the comments said that corn syrup works as an alternative
can you use flavored does it matter?
Hi there been looking for something like this. How long will this last for
50g gelatine
300ml glycerine
215ml water
1. Mix water with glycerin
2. Mix gelatine
3. Heat the mixture until gelatin is dissolved, slow heat.
I make this all the time, except I just use the microwave because it's so much quicker than the stovetop. I usually just make pendants with my molds.
Hi , with resin ?
Have a ? Dose it have to keept in the fridge to keep mold?
no it does not need to be kept in the fridge
Would the mould be firmer if i used agar agar than gelatine but with the same measurement as gelatine?
Hi! Is it good for the making of gummy Bears??
Hey! Do you know if its possible to bake the mold with that technique (i mean to bake a cake in it) thank you so much

The mould?
Or is it just like a 100%silicone mould?
Pls answer
So the mold is soft and can rip. It is like a thicker jelly. So it can rip yes.
Wow!! Wonderful!! I am colombiana, maravilloso estaba buscando algo asi
Would vegetable glycerin work?
Is there a way to make the solution more firm when solid?
I'd imagin adding more gelatin would work
How long will this mould last

Thank you, been looking for this
how many times its can be use by a single mold?
She said you can melt and reuse, so if it breaks or dissolves you can redo it easily.
What is gelatine ? And mix with what
Will it be a long term mold
Over time it can dry up and become damaged
So, if I pour some melted chocolate inside, will it destroy the mold or is it heat resistant enough?
if the chocolate is cool then it wont melt it but if its hot it will
Holaa..este molde cirve para epoxy resin..

She said in the tutorial that it has to be 100 degrees or less.
Fantastic. thank you for sharing

Cool video. I appreciate how nice you were to me. Thank you.
Hay im always up for a chat and thanks i had fun making it
I wanna make this for a candy that would get to 300° F would it work?
i am not sure, if its to hot to touch i think its likely to melt the mold
I tried this and it’s just ripping apart 😭
I hope you found a way to make it work.
Have you tried making caramel lollipops in this kind of mold? Im serching for an alternative to use rather than silicon
I have not, the thing with this kind of mold is what ever you place in it cant be to hot or it will melt the mold.
How long will the Mould stay do we have to keep in the fridge?
It keeps for a while months even but the more you use it the more it will damage. i didn't keep mine in the fridge and it was okay but after a couple of onths it did crack a little.
Hi I have made the glycerin, gelatine and water substance as you've shown but mine doesn;'t seem to set. Any ideas why it isn't working?
+Joshua Marks i am dont know. Did you try leaving in the fridge overnight?
Delusional Danie yes I did. I was using a veggie gelatine so will try with a normal gelatine and hope for better results!
+Joshua Marks that might be it. Keep me posted i would like to know how you go.
