I'm quite excited to try this out, this year for Halloween. I managed to get hold of Smooth-Sil® 940 a few days ago and I was able to cast a large baking pan with 28 pumpkin shaped indents, that I custom modeled in Blender and 3D printed. That's a pretty good idea too, for those who own a 3D printer! If you aren't good with sculpting with clay or other such media, but you can model on a computer, then it's possible to make casts from your prints, using this stuff! Really hoping for some lovely results, this year. 🤞🎃🤞

Hello, I'm looking to make my own silicone molds using this method, however, they must be oven safe, are these? also would the thickness of the silicone affect how cakes/cookies bake?

Some confusion here. For this video, you’re not showing vacuum degassing, but another video on you web site with the same silicone shows it being vacuum degassed. Does the 949 need it then, or no? 🤔 Thanks! 😃

It should be vacuum degassed if you have the capability, In some cases you may be able to pour without, but this increases the risk of bubble entrapment.

Can this be used for liquid clay? I want a mold that can go in oven and bake the clay.
