France vs Portugal is going to be suspenseful and thrilling. Both incredible teams with immense talent and game changers. France have looked a shadow of themselves this tournament. 1 penalty and 2 own goals is what they have been able to produce. While Portugal have not been convincing themselves, they have more offensive danger and avenues to score. Slovenia was a brutal match for them as Slovenia parked the bus and waited for select moments to counterattack. I expect it to be more open against France, and maybe that provide the quality we expect of both of those heavyweight teams.

Thrilling? I doubt it. Lineker once said that soccer is a game with 22 players and after 90 min germany wins. Now you can say that soccer is a slow, defensive game and after 90 min France win 1-0.

@@teebs90 nah, hard disagree, France don't need to prove anything to anyone, England is singing its coming home months before the tournaments starts, they have the most expensive squad in the world and produces the most boring, tedious to watch performances, if you are going to have that attitude, with nothing to show for, you deserve to be critiqued, as a German, France don't need to prove anything at this very point.
France still control games, England don't! They are much better than England at pressing high up the pitch and defending as a team, as well putting passes together,. As boring as France have been so far England hasn't played half as well. Big difference!
