Thank you for this great video! I'm relatively new at video games and this is my first computer game, but I am having a blast! (Usually I just stay in my animal crossing and Pokemon lane). I am happy that I've already found four of the rare temtems and appreciate that you and I share similar views on which ones are more valuable for gameplay, (Nessla!) It helps me trust my instincts more 😂
Absolutely, thank you for watching! I'm glad that you enjoyed and are having a lot of fun with Temtem, you picked a great one to jump in on! Nessla is amazing for your story playthrough yes glad we agree!
I just can't recommend it with that frail defense and 4x weak to electric but it is a nice early mental type of you are having problems with neutral types in the early game.
I disagree on Oceara! This beauty has a very nice gameplay together with Wiplump! Both can do ice attacks on enemies and they get frozen for 1-3 turns(that means opponement CANNOT ATTACK) I actually finished this game with Oceara and Wiplump when I was able to capture them both without any issue's! Finished the game in 35 hours (with grinding)
Don't get me wrong Oceara is a very solid water type, I just felt like Nessla was more beneficial being able to heal itself and having access to multiple types. I really like Oceara too though especially looking at it for competitive.
@@TheGamePiece I disagree with Nessla being more beneficial both have their ups and downs, and I personally feel like Oceara is the better of the two, Nessla and Oceara have access to 3 offensive types for moves, you trade Nessla's Electric for Oceara's Wind. Both are weak to 3 types what changes is if you are weak to crystal or Electric, your resistances are the same with the exception being one is resistant to Wind (Nessla) and the other to Earth (Oceara). While Electric Synthesis is pretty good, there comes a huge issue with it, for one you need luck to be on your side when you find a Nessla and 2, to make complete use of Nessla's Electric Synthesis, you either need another Temtem that has access to electric moves and therefore waste your turn attacking Nessla with an electric move, or use Chain Lightning... which if you know how it works is fine, but this game has the issue of not telling you how most moves work. Also your mileage on Chain Lightning is fully dependent on how well you know the moves mechanics, in the long run it can cause more harm than good in a story playthrough.
@@darkdragonblast Cause more harm than good? That move is absolutely broken in regards to getting through the story, and it saves you so much money on balms.
@@kylelandry Money for healing items was never an issue throughout the game, Chain Lightning is pretty good in the first island, on the second island I was better off spending turn 1 sparking with Ganki, then turn 2 Electric storm if I wanted damage, as for healing it saves on convenience, thats it. If you really care about wasting money you just run back to the temporium and heal. The game isn't even that difficult which surprised me as to how I pretty much managed to mindlessly use the same moves throughout the whole story. The only reason I ever had an issue was I went into a fight with like my starting tems at half health. Even then I figured out if you really wanted to you can just spam healing items and let important battles kill themselves off for the most part. I would at most call it a decent to good move but far from broken. Also Ganki, but specifically Oceara and Nessla run into a major hurdle in the third Island, with Ganki being weak to the crystal temtems found there, but more importantly the fact that Oceara and Nessla are weak to every main typing of temtem found on the third island. Electric hits neutrally on like half the temtem in the dojo, but they hit back so hard due to elemental weakness that you are better off using resistant bulky things.
Barnsee is trash :D.Nessla is iv farming god with chain lightning.Oceara is kinda...bad right now due to lack of special attack with no cooldown. (and also has low stamina)Kinu is great healer. (it does need some stamina investment tho or some combo wont work)Crystle is kinda trash. (electric and mental are pretty rare as mobs -- maybe it will get usefull on other islands)Gyalis as wild one is usless. It needs to learn Haito Uchi from skunch male. (it has no Meelee attacks)Shuine is a murderer, but it needs a smart stat investment. Guardian is great trait as you can combine it will lure. Ninja Jutsu+Crystal Bite+Iced Stalactite+Glass Blade (with investment into atk and hp.. and rest spread smartly)Valash is not a good temtem for next island after due to its weakness. He also lacks hp and defenses to last long enogh to use strong attacks.
So you have plenty of game knowledge so I'm assuming you're already aware of this but Oceara has some of the highest speed and sp attack in the game while having the highest stat total overall. Most of its moves are special attacks. The stamina criticism is definitely valid though.
Crystle is not the only starter that can be found in nature! I found the fire initial near the volcano yesterday! Nessla didn't look very good, being useful only for Tesla's arrest. And how dare you say that Oceara is bad? It is the TemTem with the highest base status of the entire game and together with the Hydrocineses passive, it freezes all temtems for three turns, being the best performance.
Ah what..? There is no fire starter... The Starter Temtem are the ones you get to choose from the begining. Hence the word "Starter". Its Crystle, Smazee, and Houchie and Crystle is the only one you can currently find in the wild.
@@TheGamePiece it seems the one you can get in the first island doesnt have the healing trait anymore, BUT, the one Ocelotl gave me with his deck does! Meaning temtems can have a variety of traits?!
@@sweetbaby3074 Nessla can have both of those traits but perhaps they changed the encounters early in the game to not have Electric Synthesize, I've seen some people saying that.
its already confirmed that 'Mounts" will be a seperate item from the temtem so it wont matter if you have an oceara already because youre still gonna need to buy one to ride one
I kinda disagree with you on the viability of oceara. That thing has been an absolute monster for my playthrough so far. It's special attack and speed is massive, but it's drawback is stamina and the fact that it's main attacking move tsunami isn't availlable turn one. The proper way to use it imo is to have in it the back of your squad and switch it in during combat when the enemy is weak to water and about to hit your crystal or nature temtem. It almost one shot both of the fire type lions with umbrellas equipped in that one fight on the third island.
Agreed! I was surprised when the umbrella notifications came up, and yet tsunami still wiped both lions at full hp. I love Oceara. The ice shuriken is also a good enough water move to two hit ko water weak tems if I want Oceara to stay in the match longer by conserving it's stamina. Or use my second ten to finish them off with a non-effectiv move. Ice Shuriken always hits first.
You should find it there now, the Belsoto should be gone, and it´s now a grassy (yellow) area. Also, go completely down to the last room, some stuff is there. The only thing you can´t do is going back to deniz, next time using the airship is the way to tucma.
Yes you can get this at any point except for when you first land on the 3rd island. But eventually you will be able to go back to Ominesia and get one.
The best team is all about diversity. I however recommend choosing Houchic or Smazee for your starter because you can't find those in the wild yet.
