I give a chance about every half a year. I was on cloud 9 hyped for this game and hated it for how disappointing it was. Now, I still can’t get into it. All the cool stuff is super Grindy, same as leveling up. The story is just awful, at atmosphere just isn’t it, and the choices pretty much no effect, and also isn’t as advertised. Either way, this is a well made vid dude
I enjoy DL2 before & after there's massive lack of zombie games use to be alot & oversaturated not the case anymore most games now follow the seasons pass system with extra payed progress paths
I stopped after the halloween event last year and for no reason i missed Aiden and came back. Been playing for 2 week straits and damn the controls and what i can do now is insane.

Dang is there ramdom events/plentiful side missions because you logged alot of hrs in or is this multiple playthroughs I was skeptical butI played the trial and thought the combat felt amazing even with beginner weapons ordered it off eBay for $25 so hopefully theres alot of content like Cyberpunk

I want the tower raid more than I want the dlc. The survivor missions arent bad. Just stop trying to grind everything in a day. I still haven't unlocked everything but im close and go out and have fun. I would be happy if the developers redid the loot stores to make them more unique and continue to work on visuals. Also it would be cool if your safezones could be destroyed and had to rebuild them
Yeah, I don’t personally find much enjoyment in them, I wouldn’t mind it so much if the guns were a little bit more integrated into the base game. Still way better than nothing at all.

I gave up on it the day it released, it was full of bugs and unplayable. But I started it up two weeks ago after all of the patches and updates and I have to say I am enjoying it. I've beaten it twice now and one thing that's quite bothersome is realizing the absolute hellish grind that must take place to reach legend level 300. No way in hell will it keep my interest for that long doing the same thing over and over for months on end. It's fun to play, but still however completely lacks that magical ingredient from the first game - the immersion, the atmosphere, and the dread. Completely absent in the sequel and that's disappointing.

This game is so much fun to play now the guns all the different tools the crafting it all got way better barely any story lag errors in the game where it would not allow you to start a certain level and what did I mention Chase are fun now sometimes I get a little hectic a little scared but it’s like PTSD from first dying now when I was a little older, but old memories being chased by 200+ viral and volatiles was crazy but to look back mechanic is one of my favorite lol power glider in the grappling hook throwing knives maxed out I feel like throwing those stars oh yeah, and my grenades are one away from being maxed out and my electric lines, which are awesome, I wish I maxed out the electric throwing knives, but you need batteries to make them which kind of sucks batteries, but you gotta scavenge for kinda like bullets get viral trophies monitor trophies well that mutation samples and stuff so that you can just level up the level 50 I’ve leveled up when I got to level 50 the level 75 a week it’s crazy but fun as hell they should just release more DLC like they did with dying light 1 like add to the story more and more

Download it first and for a PlayStation 4 to download it I remember it did take a long time, but I think you’ll figure it out, it’s definitely worth it they change a little bit because of the graphic and how much they’re allowed to and what they’re allowed to use, but if you play dying light, after the fact when they started using all different kinds of like tech stuff ( it’s probably a compare contrast on TH-cam or even some kind of thing made by dying light at the pilgrim outpost, that is a place where a lot of people get extra stuff to do in the game and extra weapons and stuff like that outside the game, the best thing for right now is the raids coming back because they’re dope -- I think you’ll have the similar techniques from that in here. I think you get the updates. It’s just the gameplay is not the same. I don’t know how to explain it new GEN verse old gen
The only thing short from making DL2 *feel* right is the still lurking moon-like gravity (even if disabled in the settings or mods involved to alter it) for the first game - which I assume a large amount of folk has played - still feels to this day incredibly responsive and dynamic.

I played the game when it launched and then found out you had to pay for the dlcs so I haven’t really gotten back to it and now I’ve heard they’ve fixed a lot of bugs so now I’m reinstalling it
Here's my issue with the parkour and map. Why? Why should I do parkour? Oh it's fun? But fighting is fun, it's a zombie game why am I doing 360% in the air and why am I not fighting zombies? Oh but you can feel like Spider-man while running around. Okay but then I'll play Spider-man there's no point to the parkour. Okay but how about the challenges then? Non rewarding. There isn't a point in this game where you have enemies advanced enough to follow you around effectively, there isn't any loot stashed in some hard to reach place that's remotely worthwile, the cityscape itself is boring and uninspired from the second you see it. There is nothing, it's just brick buildings copy pasted. Im glad yer having fun but it's a sad, sad world. Im replaying dying light one, from scratch and I'm having so much fun I did not expect.
I don’t agree with your argument against parkour, because it is one of the main attractions of the dying light games. That’s like saying, “Why should I drive around in GTA? Oh it’s fun? it’s a shooter game, why am I driving? If I wanted to drive around I’d go play a racing game, so there’s no point to driving.” If you try and take one of the main mechanics away from the game, it’s gonna feel empty, not just for dying light but for any game. Like taking away building for Minecraft, taking away guns from counterstrike, etc. Just as those are core parts of their games, parkour is a core part of the dying light games. I also don’t agree with you on the enemies, as volatiles, virals, and even bandits/renegades in some cases will chase you effectively. There are entire chase sequences in the game where the zombies run after you. As for loot you have to parkour to get to, that’s every single one of the military airdrops, which give you the best upgrades in the game. Also I agree with old villedor feeling samey, but once you get to the central loop the game gains another whole dimension, with literal sky scrapers you can do parkour on.

Without parkour the game would just be "walk around and kill stuff and do some quests." Like, seriously consider what would happen if you just never did parkour in DL2. Consider what would happen if you never did parkour in DL1, too. Everything you said about the DL2 parkour is applicable to the DL1 parkour.

Yeah, I’m not sure that’s even something they plan to do, I do hope they make another “the following” sized dlc but for DL2 before they move onto their next thing though.
I agree, although I don't care about the world size so much as I do the quality of the world. Like in Dying Light 1, despite the map being pretty small overall, it's packed full of unique buildings and sights. Dying Light 2's biggest sin when it comes to the map in my opinion is the fact that most of the building are just copy paste (makes it worse that the buildings themselves aren't nice to look at). While I appreciate that they did that to create a good parkour playground, it came at a pretty big cost.

Nah the ragdolls have always been physics-based, the issue is that in a lot of scenarios, ragdolls won't activate until after character/zombie animations are complete. They also sometimes get caught on invisible walls. Though I've got to say I've noticed this kinds of issues becoming fewer and far between as time goes on.
Can you guys like my idea on the community ideas page " Hurricanranas on zombies is Kool ". I think being able to do that would increase the replay value and would fit in with the bloody ties dlc as well. Thank you

Yea it’s fun but tel gland is starting to ruin it again by de buffing some shi that shouldn’t be de buffed like my stamina bar and my health regeneration booster and my carnage Monica can’t block heavy attacks well anymore😡 it’s irritating me
i actually kinda like the stamina buff, makes you use boosters, executions (executions give you a stamina boost and temporary stamina invulnerability), and guns a lot more and makes the combat a lot more varied
DL1 is awesome. I’m replaying it now from beginning with nothing. Truly a special game. DL2…. Just feels like a giant waste of potential. The DL1: The following is the best DLC I’ve ever played. I was really hoping DL2 was going to pick up from there gameplay and story wise…. It didn’t. It felt and still feels like a step backwards

@@ElisTheWorst Graphics look cleaner. Dying Light 2 looks visually worse than its predecessor. The movement feels better. There are tons of zombies running through the streets. The grappling hook in the DL 1 alone is a thousand times better. The lighting is incredibly good. DL 2 looks like a downgrade in every respect.
@@dominikschmidt5238 I personally find the parkour to be a big improvement from the first game, it feels like a faster and more in depth version of the one from dl1. I do agree though, Harran feels a lot more like a real place and the zombies feel more realistic. Plus the entirely of Harran looks better overhaul in my opinion, while villedor feels very clearly like a game. I think it’s because of all the copy paste buildings and the overly colorful design. I personally think the grapple hook being a physics based tool to assist in parkour is a lot better than just essentially a parkour skip like it was in DL1.

For me DL1 was better, but when you end the game its over, DL2 is worse but after end the game you can still have a lot things to do in events.
Might check it out. Seems to have some of my favorite aspects of Cyberpunk’s gameplay

the grind isn't actually anywhere near as bad as the first game, you can rack up legend levels like instantly in comparison.

Also I agree with old villedor feeling samey, but once you get to the central loop the game gains another whole dimension, with literal sky scrapers you can do parkour on.
ElisTheWorst basically said everything I was gonna say, but you're whole anti-parkour thing here falls apart when you remember that parkour has always been a part of Dying Light. Without parkour the game would just be "walk around and kill stuff and do some quests."
Like, seriously consider what would happen if you just never did parkour in DL2. Consider what would happen if you never did parkour in DL1, too. Everything you said about the DL2 parkour is applicable to the DL1 parkour.

I agree, although I don't care about the world size so much as I do the quality of the world. Like in Dying Light 1, despite the map being pretty small overall, it's packed full of unique buildings and sights. Dying Light 2's biggest sin when it comes to the map in my opinion is the fact that most of the building are just copy paste (makes it worse that the buildings themselves aren't nice to look at). While I appreciate that they did that to create a good parkour playground, it came at a pretty big cost.

This is why atmosphere is important they need to hand craft the map not just for parkour but for looks too

The ragdolls are still animation based instead of physics based in case anyone wants to know, as this guy didn't mention it in the video
Nah the ragdolls have always been physics-based, the issue is that in a lot of scenarios, ragdolls won't activate until after character/zombie animations are complete. They also sometimes get caught on invisible walls. Though I've got to say I've noticed this kinds of issues becoming fewer and far between as time goes on.

Then came Dead Island 2, of which I had no faith in, and kt was fun as hell!

Yea it’s fun but tel gland is starting to ruin it again by de buffing some shi that shouldn’t be de buffed like my stamina bar and my health regeneration booster and my carnage Monica can’t block heavy attacks well anymore😡 it’s irritating me
i actually kinda like the stamina buff, makes you use boosters, executions (executions give you a stamina boost and temporary stamina invulnerability), and guns a lot more and makes the combat a lot more varied

I still play DL1. DL2 is really bad in comparison. It’s a mediocre game on its own.

DL1 is awesome. I’m replaying it now from beginning with nothing. Truly a special game. DL2…. Just feels like a giant waste of potential. The DL1: The following is the best DLC I’ve ever played. I was really hoping DL2 was going to pick up from there gameplay and story wise…. It didn’t. It felt and still feels like a step backwards

Dying Light 2 looks visually worse than its predecessor. The movement feels better. There are tons of zombies running through the streets. The grappling hook in the DL 1 alone is a thousand times better. The lighting is incredibly good. DL 2 looks like a downgrade in every respect.

from the first game, it feels like a faster and more in depth version of the one from dl1. I do agree though, Harran feels a lot more like a real place and the zombies feel more realistic. Plus the entirely of Harran looks better overhaul in my opinion, while villedor feels very clearly like a game. I think it’s because of all the copy paste buildings and the overly colorful design. I personally think the grapple hook being a physics based tool to assist in parkour is a lot better than just essentially a parkour skip like it was in DL1.
@@dominikschmidt5238 Trying to say the grappling hook in Dying Light 1 was better is ridiculous man, come on. It was basically an instant "I want to skip doing any parkour to go somewhere." button. DL2's grappling hook actually ENHANCES the parkour.
No offense but your avatar is kind of distracting and a bit cringey for my tastes. Having it take up large screen space and extended time, and you just vertically flip it from left to right doesn't add value either. Takes away from your otherwise very well done video. For what its worth.

I agree, that’s why graphics weren’t one of my reasons, that’s something that the first game nailed. Harran did a really convincing job of feeling like a real place.

I agree, not so much about the interiors though, I think the exterior, especially in old villedor is very copy paste, however I think it adds to the parkour system and makes traversal really fun
