I think they actually have a good chance of handing out a definitive defeat of the marines. With Luffy’s ability to turn the surroundings into rubber if he can control what rubberizes and what stays rigid Whitebeard could (if his health holds up) be more aggressive with his earthquakes not having to worry about destroying everything
Good point with the environment strategic advantage but I think they’re still undermanned until shanks shows up. In the original war the top tier of the marines did not take any damage besides Akainu who dealt back the damage he took.
Garp told us. 2 Yonko crews at once isnt sometimething he recons they can handle. As in, the whole of the marines. Not WB and RH, not Kaido and BM and by extension - not SH and WB either.

They just barely got Ace away, a G5 Luffy is essentially another White Beard+ who nobody is expecting. Especially not Garp. A Garp that nearly bopped Akainu after he killed Ace(so he probably still takes a knee against Luffy). The real question is what does Blackbeard do when White Beard isn’t half-dead, Ace is free and Luffy goes G5.
Just saying, I get Garp has pride as a marine, but in cannon he took a dive to a Luffy that stood no chance against him.

I feel like Mihawk should be higher on the ranking because:
Mihawk doesn't have a single scar on his body. It was said that he has never lost a fight and that he is looking for someone stronger than Shanks. He is undeniable the strongest swordsman, has a blackblade that no one else ever achieved in the whole One Piece Story except Ryuma and his sword is said to be the strongest of all

@@vanhohenheim7480 If it makes you feel better, It's confirmed through the feats that Zoro has displayed that Mihawk wasn't trying against them. I wouldn't say Oda did him dirty. Crocodile was stopping a lot of people who were stronger than him by leagues such as akainu. That doesn't mean that Croc is at their level. Vista Is said to be one of the greatest twin-blade users, and that's nothing to sneeze at. Jozu is also pretty strong, he made Aokiji bleed. They all aren't on Mihawks level, but they can at least serve as a distraction to a Mihawk that isn't trying.

After rewatching Marineford recently I think it was clear the Admirals weren't giving it their all. Kizaru seemed to be almost just playing with his opponents, Aokiji didn't seem to put all that much effort in after he froze the water, and Akainu seemed like he thought the power level of everyone except Whitebeard was all beneath him so he didn't need to go all out. If you added current Luffy to the mix I feel like the three of them would take the fight alot more seriously and we would have seem a better showing of their power levels. I still think they in this instance Luffy and the Whitebeard Pirates would have been able to hold out until Shanks arrived, but it wouldn't be the cakewalk that some people seem to think it would have been.

Yea if you really read it unbiased by the end of the war the only person that took damage on the Marines was Akainu, and he paid that damage back by killing Ace, nearly killing Luffy, and doing a shit ton of damage to Whitebeard.
The other admirals barely got a bruise, Garp and Sengoku barely moved.

He doesn’t necessarily have to stop Luffy, if he fights off other people like WB or the commanders it frees up the other admirals to overpower Luffy with Sengoku.

Only thing I disagree with is I believe shanks, at marine ford, was stronger than WB. Obviously, I believe prime WB is overall more powerful than shanks but, with him being ill and clearly ageing negatively, I think a prime yonko shanks is stronger than a fading yonko.

I don't think there is much of a difference between pre-timeskip and post-timeskip Akainu. Unlike younger characters like Luffy, the Admirals have probably already reached their peak form some time ago.

None of them seemed to have had awakened their powers or maybe they could at that time they just didn’t use it cus it wasn’t necessary. While I see where you're coming from with Boa Hancock, there's one big hole in your theory: Boa's intense love for Luffy. Keep in mind that we haven't seen the Amazon Lily arc change through the course of Marineford, and as stated by Gloriosa herself, this feeling of intense passion compels her to help Luffy without a second thought or even regret. I'm not saying that she won't be interested in saving her kingdom, but while she would be thinking about that, I believe her love for Luffy would overcome that thought.

I feel like it would actually end up worse just because they know how much of a threat luffy is. In marineford, not everyone went all out and there was a lot of luck involved for the whitebeard pirates.
or maybe because luffy is there, they last long enough for shanks to arrive. We saw that in the real time line, the admirals were able to attack wb but in this scenario they are all tied up in high-extreme diff fights. So yeah it would end up worse if shanks never arrives, however he will.

I think overall it would depend on who fights who if Luffy had gear 5 at Marineford. First of all, if Gear 5 Luffy was at Marineford the Admirals would have to take the fights seriously but at the same time not much would be able to change for who they were fighting. I think the idea we have to think of is, in the chapter we find out Luffy can do whatever he wants in battle, that he has the most absurd devil fruit. As soon as Whitebeard saw that Luffy could turn other things into rubber (like the ground, water, sky, etc...) Whitebeard also wouldn't be holding back as much with his fruit either. Whitebeard could potentially call his men back and go ham just destroying the marines without worrying about hurting his side or Ace, because like Eneru, Luffy's devil fruit is a counter to Whitebeard's fruit, no matter the way you shake jello/rubber it's not going to be damaged. So imagine Luffy turning the stand that Ace is on into rubber and Whitebeard starts just shaking and destroying everything, Ace is held down on the stand so he isn't going anywhere no matter how much that pillar shakes and if he takes minor damage from being thrown around a little bit Marco can heal him.

Like I said, if you put a plate of jello down during an earthquake all it does is shake around, it won't break. 2ndly, another idea I had because of Luffy's devil fruit, could he grab/repel Kizaru's lazors, we know he could repel Akainu's meteors. So again it comes down to how serious everyone is going to fight and if there is any sort of planning before/when Luffy jumps into the fight. Also, another thing that I think people aren't considering is that instead of having to protect Luffy while Luffy is trying to get to Ace the Whitebeard Pirates will be able to run with Luffy and focus on fighting as a team with Luffy instead of just playing defense with Luffy.
luffys gear 5th has a lot of potential that can help Luffy in throwing attacks on a multiple opponents at once like imagine Luffy using bajrangun it doesn't matter who, all those strong characters will be affected by that one big punch including Marinford itself and honestly if Luffy goes gigant and start throwing punches i don't think any one can match him there and I think that is probably why oda didn't let Luffy punch Kaido in gigant form because it could have caused the fight to end earlier and we will probably see it in future arcs

That means you're going to be removing Red hawk from his move kit but you could say it was inspired by Ace but there's a good chance that this move shouldn't be used because it was in memory of him.
I think whitebeard and Luffy sort of easily make there way out of marineford in the war. With all the heavy fighting being done by strawhat, WB and the top commander's vs the top marine personal it's easy to forget it was some very capable pirates on the battlefield that sided with WB and Luffy against the Marines. They could easily skip through undetected and free ace. Also whitebeard was capable of knocking down getting akainu for a period of time then going in to handle another top teir so that Luffy has a shot to break free he did it in marineford. Luffy with future sight stops alot more in this battle and that's the ace up his sleeve.

@@kim3528 About Luffy's Gear 5, we never know its full capabilities yet since even Luffy himself didn't even know it was Nika fruit. All we seen so far is just an upgraded version of his rubber, it might still have another abilities that we haven't seen yet since his transformation "the white thing" isn't even a rubber. Who knows if his red attacks can now actually be as hot as the sun? If that's the case then I'm pretty sure that it will damage Akainu even without haki since Sun is hotter than magma, just like how Akainu made Ace a donut due to the type advantages.

i think the powerscaling was quite good and the matchups were fine too ..... but considering the kind of long range attacks everyone has at marineford , specially whitebeard , there is a very huge chance that he can engage even 2 admirals at a time , yeah wb might lose eventually but that's not gonna happen in a minute , it will take time , so the fights can go eitherway...... and if luffy manages to free ace somehow, alliance get one more strong commander who can hold his own against various marines except for the top tiers ....... also the kind of monster luffy is now , if by any chance did anyone underestimate him even a bit , that's gonna be real bad for them ... i just didn't like the rankings either ...... i legitimately think that if luffy is stronger than wb at marineford , then he is the strongest man at the marineford ..... sengoku and garp and all of the admirals are below him

Great video! As far has Luffy has come, I def think he's top tier caliper just needs to hone his newfound skills a bit more though before I put him over the admirals atm. Dont get me wrong, I think he could take them just like he took Kaido but lets not forget the massive amount of help he had. I think even current Luffy right now is a good chance getting stopped by one of the admirals at marineford, let alone two or three at once. But also I can see Luffy saving Ace, especially considering how crazy Gear 5 is

for me personally I don't think the marines can handle a healthy WB and a gear 4th luffy with all the advancements he has let alone gear 5th , whiteboard would require at least 2 admirals to match up against him because akainu alone couldn't defeat a heavily injured WB , Marco can help him too , for the 3rd admiral he has quit a lot to deal with he still has all the commenders , say vista and jozoo team up against one admiral I think they can hold him for quit a while , for the warlords and the other marines they would do the same thing they did in the original story , they'll mostly deal with the rest of the fleet + Ivan , jimbei , buggy , crocodile .... and now for the main event , luffy vs sengoku and probably garp, for garp I don't think he would fight luffy just like he couldn't bring himself to hit him in the story , for sengoku I don't think he can stop luffy from freeing ace since he couldn't stop a gear second pre ts luffy , even though he tried , so luffy would end up freeing ace and then you'll have another yonko commander to deal with , and after fighting them for a bit more the WB pirates will start retrieving then if luffy just wants to fuck everyone he would go gear 5th , giant island sized fist on everyone's head top lol wich mind you a prime kaido was defeated by , + a ground tilting attack from WB would leave them in quite a mess wich would give everyone else a chance to escape , or shanks will show up , if he decides to fight the marines , I don't see why the marines wouldn't be wiped out . oh and btw there no chance for BB to steel WB df so he'll have to come up with something else another time .
By actual striking strength, obviously white beard is at the top, his haki has to be comparable to anyone else’s, even with out his fruit, but he’s just at the point where if he were to properly fight people on his level, his heart would give out before he can land a decisive blow. Definitely more terrifying in what he can actually do with damage than anyone else, but wouldn’t be able to properly harm luffy with his fruit, shockwaves don’t work on rubber.

The way I see this is very simple, current Luffy is about equal to 1 additional Whitebeard, give or take. With how close the fight was, yeah, the Marines would turn it up a notch imo, but I honestly do not see a ton going differently. I would think what would happen most likely is Ace gets freed, Blackbeard shows up and acts as a pincer for the Marines, Whitebeard dies, Ace gets baited into a fight in a similar fashion as before (and likely refuses Luffy any assistance as he is not a member of Whitebeards crew), then Shanks showing up which causes Blackbeard to flee and the Marines to stop, and instead of Law taking Luffy away on his boat, Shanks probably taking him back on his?

I think current Luffy going into Snake Men would almost be enough already to free Ace cause bro is literally moving and/or attacking fast enough that everyone without ACoO is done for if it isn't already for him knocking out everybody with CoC. Then when he gets to Garp and Sengoku he could actually activate Gear 5th and I could very well imagine Garp being the one to again, like in the main timeline, not do anything since he didn't like Ace being executed in the first place (remember how he was literally about to attack Akainu because he killed Ace) and instead only have Sengoku do something which wouldn't be much of a problem either. Luffy's awakening + all his haki abilities should be enough to hold his ground against Sengoku long enough to then somehow get Ace freed, for that he won't even need a key anymore, just his ACoA. In the meantime while all that happens the usual fights between Whitebeard, the YCs and the Admirals would still play out like they did in the current timeline only that they would stop their fighting and start running once Luffy freed Ace, exactly like they did in Marineford.
U think the admirals don't have future sight. Akainu def had it. If Aokiji fought for 10 with Akainu its safe to assume he had too. Kizaru prob would've had too. Sengoku def has it too and Sengoku's fruit I think is like a massive defensive fruit.

People just underrate them cause their against Luffy and the last time we saw a Admiral go fight for real was Post time skip when haki wasn't really thing. I think as soon as Luffy Comes in to activate Conquerors Haki to get rid of the fodder and he can actually perform a targeted burst of haki to hit most of the marine fodders while taking out minimal pirate fodder, I think some of the Vice admirals might even be out of commission. So it thins down to Yonko, Yonko Commanders, Some Vice admirals, The admirals, Sengoku and Garp, The Warlords, And Leftover Marines and Pirate Fodders.

For my head canon Luffy’s Conq Haki would def go off at some point n knockout a _ridiculous_ amount of Marines. That would be plenty for Whitebeard and the alliance to advance, on top of Luffy probably keeping the admirals occupied, Whitebeard pirates could push against the remaining left on the ice like Mihawk.
Chances are something goofy might happen in the Luffy v Admirals expo n Luffy might get whooped out of G5, needing Ivankov’s help again ;)

I really believe that the admirals are not as strong as you say they are. In my opinion, if they are really close to Yonko Level, with Garp, Sengoku, Akainu, Kizaru and Aokiji, combined that would mean that they are the equivalent of at least 4 emperors. If they are that strong on their own, why would they need all the Shishibukais to keep the balance of power. They would be equal to the Yonkos on their own, so they wouldn't need the Shishibukai, but they say they do. After that, if you add the shishibukai, the 7 combined could be really close to the power of 1-2 emperors. So that would make about 5-6 Yonko level on the ennemi side for Whitebeard. If that was the case, I think we can all agree that Whitebeard would have no chance of winning. So if he has no chance of winning, why would he risk the life of his whole crew and allies, wich he considers as his family, on the line to save one person. Whitebeard is not a fool, he would not do that I am sure of it. So it's impossible that they are all so strong. Plus the Marines didn't even win that easily. They had the advantage because it was their territory and they also set up traps and stratagems to beat the enemies and the pirates still managed to get Ace out of his handcuffs. Whitebeard was sick, old, his haki wasn't working well and he had a heart attack in the middle of his fight with Akainu. Not to mention that before Shanks arrived, they were all willing to kill all the commanders of the Whitebeard pirates, but when Shanks showed up, Sengoku ordered to stop the fight. So I believe you overestimate the admirals for those reasons.
I'm not too sure about the Admirals all being above the Yonko Commanders, namely Marco and Benn Beckman... Kizaru literally stepping down because Benn threatens him also where Marco almost made it to Ace past the 3 Admirals and was only stopped in the end by Garp.

Akainu wasn’t dominated by WB in the manga he was giving WB the work and was never scared or even losing he fought WB one on one and won the fight

I pretty much agree with your power scaling, I do however believe that Shanks and Mihawk are stronger than current Luffy. Mihawk is bound to fight Zoro at some point and I think by the time that happens Zoro will become at least as strong if not stronger than current Luffy, and it’s not like Mihawk got stronger during the timeskip so by simple logic he would be stronger than current Luffy. I don’t have solid evidence for Shanks but he did train under Roger and Rayleigh, and at the war he and his crew just came back from a skirmish with Kaido unharmed which is impressive considering the crew size difference.

@@danykay1117 Nika is overrated. Kaido took too many blows from 5 Yonko vice levels (Kid Law Zoro Yamato, Killer) and 7 commander/ vice ad level samurais. Both Shanks and Mihawk are stronger than Luffy. That being said, Kaido was also overrated. In Oden flash back, WB=Roger > Rayleigh> Gabban= Oden. Kaido could not surpass 72 year old Whitebeard with heart disease. On the other hand, Shanks is one armed with no DF. Mihawk powerlevel is hard to tell, but his normal slash was much more powerful than pre Wano Zoro's ultimate move. Luffy was Yonko vice level back then while Zoro was often claimed to be Luffy level.

Personally I currently think Luffy did save Ace in Marineford as Ace just ended up dying after he was saved on his own. I think one of the major things that changes is Luffy is truly taken seriously not just by two of the Admiral when he comes before them all but all three instead. Kizaru might be truly serious at this point so the biggest threat to get Ace free would be the three of them. Luffy might have gotten stronger but the Admiral would not be holding back thus they should be able to use everything they know to fight against a Gear 5 Luffy. The only thing holding at least Kuzan and Kizaru back would be not wanting to destroy Marineford itself. Akaniu however might not care thus Marineford might end up being a fight to stop him from trying to kill everyone just to kill Ace and Luffy. Unless he realizes that Marineford is being shown to the world and seeing him going scorched earth on everyone and everything to ensure just two people die this time around(he probably got away with in Robin's case since he was not shown to the world in real time). Thus not harm the Marine's image in the process by them seeing Akaniu as he is not as how he want people to see him
None of the Warlords seem to really want to fight against Luffy truly thus might not attempt to fight him differently then normal just probably take him more seriously as they do not have to hold back as much as before. Doffy would have much of a reason to even fight Luffy at this point seeing as they would not have met yet. If Luffy want to take him down in advance as he at least would know what he is doing. Hancock might faint or at least slip up in her act though unable to handle herself and her love for Luffy as in her eyes Luffy would just not have gone older (and something else but that is off topic) but far stronger and other things as well.
Also Ace, Whitebeard, and everyone else should be able to use everything he was said to have at the time as well. So it possible that if Whitebeard was not looking for a place to die seemingly as some theories claimed he could have lived through Marineford as well with Luffy managed to not only save Ace but keeping him from dying with upper tier mid difficulty to lower tier high difficulty still. Luffy currently does not even know that he is a Zoan at all thus would not have complete and fully control over Gear 5 like he seems to do for Gear 4 at this point. I still think he would struggle a bit just in different ways then before

Has information on the power differences of Shank's crew been released? It may have and I forgot about it. I remember we got more info on Shank's crew a little bit ago though I don't actually remember what it was.
Anyway my opinion(based on essentially nothing) is that Shank's crew as a whole are all about equal in strength and in addition I think they should all be around Warlord level. Maybe one or two are Moria level and another one or two are at Mihawk/Boa level like Ben; the rest at Doflamingo's level. (I rank Mihawk/Boa equally>Doffy>Jinbei>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Moria at the time of Marineford).
*I think Mihawk/Boa had held back at Marineford as if they displayed a greater amount of power it could have led to the WG or Marines believing they were too great a threat regardless of being Warlords on the side of the WG.

First of all when Luffy went gear fifth, he was trolling the entire time and didn't even use haki until that final punch. He was taking hits after hits but none of Kaido's attack did much damage. It seemed as if Luffy was testing his new powers. If a healthy Kaido fought a serious gear fifth Luffy, I believe both of them have 50-50 chance of winning. Luffy's haki is as strong as any top character in the series and he has mastered it to a high level as well. Current Luffy may not be strongest in Marinford war but can definitely give the strongest a run for their money.

Well, you're wrong on that one. Kaido quite literally states during their fight that Luffy is using both Armament and Conquerors on his attacks. It just wasn't shaded.

I think the whole battle would change once luffy goes into his awakened form. The plot behind Marineford was centered around the marines making a move against the Whitebeard pirates. One Luffy was shown to have the power of Joyboy, I think their orders would have changed. the new number 1 priority would be taking luffy down. The threat that Ace and the Whitebeard pirates posed to the world government would have been insignificant compared to Luffy at that point.
Well that is if the Gorosei are watching the war or if the marine top dogs also know about it. It's an interesting situation.

For me the order of threat level would be:

Well, anyways, I think I am going with Vegapunk (if they will cooperate) or Franky (if they will be themselves). Not really because they are my favorites or anything (we haven't even seen Vegapunk yet and while I like Franky a lot, I have others Iike more), but because they have some serious knowledge that would be very useful in real life (for one, we can't make cyborgs, but they can, and powerful ones at that!) and I would use that to try and get as much of that knowledge recorded as possible. Later I would use that knowledge to advance our world's science.
There are others who could be pretty useful on that sense (like Judge and Ceasar, who clearly have a better grasp at human biology than we do), but I figured that, since I only get one, I should go for the best, implied several times to be Vegapunk (assuming they will cooperate), or the most likely to talk about their inventions and explain them willingly and in a helpful manner (which, in my eyes, is clearly Franky).
