Marvel followed the success of the Fantastic Four with a second super-hero team in the mold of DC Comics's Justice League. The Avengers united characters with their own solo series into a group of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. But it didn't take long for the team to receive new members and a personality of its own. Through the years, it has seen many incarnations, many rosters, its popularity has ebbed and flowed, as has the quality of the stories. Today, the team is among the biggest franchises in Comics. That's a lot of Reading Recommendations on the Avengers. I'll try to read some of the Avengers Arcs such as the Kree Skrull War, the Korvac Saga, Celestial Madonna, The Kang Dynasty, Disassembled, the Children's crusade, and Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers.

The Korvac Saga is the best Avengers story ever. Oh, and also, it's the best comic book of all-time. I don't like what's after Disassembled, but I have high hopes for Jed MacKay's take. Still haven't started it yet.
