I guess that mobile persona game. I know metaphor is coming no doubt and it will probably be my Goty. That mobile game needs to be released in the west… that way I can play that on the go, and at work. :)

It’s possible a physical copy of the game could be your birthday present, who knows. Metaphor Refantazio looks very interesting to me and I am very curious how good the story will be, it does seem like alot development time was placed in creating bustling cities and a well written well thoughtout story or plot that may have taken them years of planning to come to the proper conclusion for. Atlus seems to be placing their bets on metaphor refantazio being their next hit.

In all fairness, the P1 and P2 remakes would probably take much more time as they don't follow the same systems as P3/4/5. They also don't have any recent 3d models like P3 did with Dance Night, so it'll definitely take much more time which is why they probably don't have the process started just yet. P4 is most likely to come right after P6 cause it's much easier to integrate into the current systems. Though this is just my theory and it ultimately Atlus' decision when it comes to which game to remake next.
I have a feeling that if they do P1 and P2 remakes thwy wouldn't be as faithful as P3R was, we might get them adapted to newer styles of persona gameplay including some possible story changes. I could definitely see the P2 games receiving a social and day system added to it although I'm not sure that you could do something like that for P1 without completely rewriting around half the story
@@blockyround2160 you really can't do a day and night social system for both p1 and 2 games as in story they only last for few days. people forget that tne PSP remakes made more changes that reload ever did and it backfired so i doubt they would forget that error

Man, what a year for JRPGs... I've always been more of a multiplayer/competitive FPS player but this year totally switched me over to JRPGs with Infinite Wealth (now the Pirate Yakuza announced), then Persona 3 Reload, now Metaphor, Granblue Fantasy Relink was fun too, I've picked up Tales of Berseria and about to finish it, these are so amazing games to heal yourself and to take your mind off of reality
they really do need one specially 1 which i feel the PSP port while the QOL was good the music that the composer was compelled to make for some reason in place of the ps1 music tainted it's identity and not in a good way, he was also made director and you can notice how lacking it is in variety and length by comparison to modernsona music, even more repetitive by comparison
Seeing how upgrading the drivers link in metaphor does something to the mobile base, was said at some point so not a spoiler, it wouldn't surprise me if it has p5s perk system where bonding leads to tangible benefits. Especially seeing that the job class system means there's no direct translation to personas gaining levels upon fusion with s link/confidant levels of the same arcana. Time will tell what metaphors new game+, an atlas staple by now, will be like, but I hope even if xp levels don't carry over job levels and unlocks do. Even if I'm not farming for it I think it would be nice if even a a natural consequence of only new game+ playthroughs after the first one to max out all jobs with everyone.
Oh, man, I only saw the paraphrased interview where it said the calendar system was going to be tighter than Persona's, I didn't know that extended to not being able to do every dungeon in a single playthrough.
Yeah, that's correct. I'm curious to see if all "social links" can be maxed out in a single playthrough, like the Persona games. I'm wondering if this comment was solely pertaining to just the dungeons, though
@funmylife9248 hmm, I guess it depends on if all links join the home base upon starting or if towns have time spending activities. If all rank ups can happen during travel the max bonds thing should be possible cause those happen during travel time.

Demi Kids Light/Dark and Devil Survivor to me are really underrated games that deserve a remake or remaster, these games really need more recognition from atlus within the Shin Megami Tensei universe.
Digital Devil Saga series was soooo good. Suprised it was so far down the remake list. Sure, the PS2 graphic is still fine but never games quality of life would have been great and they could have fleshed out the backstory somewhat in 2nd game.
So after 10 hours of metaphor demo I bought that shit full price without thinking twice. It’s sooooo effin good. My only concern is the length of the calendar looking way too short but I’m thinking it’s not the full calendar and that at some point there will be a time skip or some sort of transitional period opening up the full calendar. As it sits right now the game is 120 days long which just doesn’t seem like nearly enough with travel time between locations taken into consideration. We shall see I suppose. (For seeing some P5R type crap giving us extra months for $ but hopefully that isn’t the case and if it is the case it comes with story content worth the extra money as the game is already 70 USD)
Glad you enjoyed the demo! The demo is incredible. About the calendar length, you're probably right - there may be more to the calendar after it ends in October. We'll just have to see. Regardless, reviews have been touting 80-100 hours on a playthrough, so there's no denying this game is massive, even though it may end up running shorter than P5. Still a bit longer than P3 and P4 though.
@@funmylife9248 I think after looking at the calendar again last night that it may be the actual full game length. If you think about it there are 5 full 30 day months, each month containing 6 5 day weeks.so that’s 30 weeks and 150 days, almost half a year. That’s about the same as p5 but not p5R. I’m guessing we will get a dlc or royal version with an extra month some new archetypes and another character most likely, although that always sucks because you only have that character for the very last few weeks of the game

persona 1 and 2 need a remake infinitely more than persona 4 as much as i love persona 4 remake, i havent played persona 1 and 2 because they are annoying to even access, and they are pretty dated by all means. By removing that barrier you introduce two new games to an endless amount of fans who love the series but havent been able to play persona 1 and 2 Also not to mention that whilst the modern persona games are very much standalone in their story and impacts when it comes to each continuous game, persona 1 and 2's story is still extremely relevant, people like Igor and who the Blue Butterfly is are major parts of each persona game, and yet that stuff is only explained in persona 1 and 2

P1 and P2 deserves a remake, I mean a totally new gameplay close to newer Persona. Persona 1 and 2 has a very good story but the gameplay was closer to SMT even the random battle numbers was hardcore like SMT also and I really hate that.
Yeah, my biggest issue with Personas 1 and 2 were the insane number of random battles. If those were toned down a bit, I would've liked the games a bit more
I tried to play devil summoner Raidou kuzunoha, but I got turned off by the lack of voice acting. It feels so weird seeing amazing characters in beautiful animated shots not saying a word. I finished Nocturn HD remastered and really liked it a lot. I then tried digital devil saga PAL ps2 version and it made me not want to play it in that stage. I hope they do a Remaster or HD remake of the games.
I would love a remake of Persona games 1 and 2. Not really inpatient for 4. Persona 4 Golden, in its current form, may be somewhat dated but still modern enough that a remake seems too hasty/soon whereas Persona 1 and 2 are games that are so dated, it'd take a quite dedicated fan to go back and play them rather than wait for a remaster/remake. This is just my opinion though, I know Persona 4 is one of the most beloved Persona games so it doesn't seem all too unlikely for Atlus to prioritize a remake or remaster of that game first
My biggest problem with Persona is that the games are too long to justify having missable content that require multiple playthroughs. I hope that problem isn't present in Metaphor and that I can experience everything in one playthrough
The thing with that is that a second playthrough is likely only to be around 20ish hours when you skip all the dialogue and cutscenes you already have seen (just did that in p3r)
Don't want to break it to you, but not every game is meant for everyone. Creatives should be able to create and not limit themselves to me as a player or anyone else -- whether game is long or short in length. Atlus isn't alone in this either as other studios have done the same.
@@jynxce you are absolutely right on that aspect . Maybe i have outgrown Persona and no longer relate to high-school fiction , but I still love JRPGs and urban-fantasy settings. I don't want Persona to change, I just wish for a little more flexibility/accessibleity like in SMTV/V
If you could only pick one? Man, that's hard to answer. Metaphor isn't out yet, but it's likely going to be received very well. P3R is an exceptional remake. Maybe wait until Metaphor comes out and read up on the reviews and make the judgment call!
I want to play P5X, but I hate everything about mobile gaming, especially if I have to play with other people (I hope that's not the case with this game). If they don't have microtransactions, and put it on a physical media, only then will I buy/play it.
Really hoping for an announcement sometime this year! Rumors suggest maybe even Tokyo Game Show, but I'm thinking it will be announced at The Game Awards
Seeing all that remastering been quite a thing lately in many games, I can't help but think if there are any hopes of Atlus making a PC/cross-platform based MMORPG. May be an unpopular opinion but I'd be happy to see a remake of SMT: Imagine or something new with real-time multiplayer elements. The demon, alignment and a lot of their core system with real time mechanics are definitely something that can stand out among other MMOs nowadays. IMO, if they can pull it off, it's definitely something that can revitalize the multiplayer scene. High maintenance, but if done well, they can even beat up games like FFXIV and World of Warcraft just for the fact that it's not going to be your typical job class, leveling MMO. Imagine having to raise demons, do pve or pvp with it, fuse demons to fight with you or fuse it with your gears. Ik some people would be skeptical for they should focus on what they do since they're already great. A lot of people nowadays are also willing to pay good price and subscription for a great game.
ppl gotta understand those polls are voted on by fans, like BIG fans. even normal fans that still own every game besides 1,2. even owning SMT. we dont vote. look at the total vote numbers. then substract the votings that were from japanese ppl. most ppl couldnt care less about p1,p2 and lets face it if they remake it, its gonna be CLOSE to the original, which had not a lot to offer besides dungeon crawling. thats not up to standard anymore, will sell mediocre. and again will not speed up the development for persona 6. i hope they stop making spin-offs and remasters of old titles all together and focus solely on new stuff. cause its gonna be almost 10years between p5 and p6 and that gap wont get smaller between p6and p7. and even if you liked the spin-offs, we ALL can agree that the main titles are still the best titles in the series. most content, most gameplay, most love put into it. theres a reason persona made them big, not Q2, not tactica not any spinoff ever.
I've seen it talked about in other videos. They're making it right now but it's most likely not gonna come out this or next year, if we're lucky probably early 2026. It's even rumoured for the next persona mc to be a female. That's why they say that any further remakes are not in the talks right now (especially since they have other titles besides Persona to worry about).
There would be ZERO announcements about other games until Metaphor releases and gets some starting sales Then - yeah, expect some Persona 6 announcements I bet on summer of 2025

Love Persona but hell no to Phantom X. I don’t want Persona games destroyed by becoming free to play microtransaction riddled cash grabs. Paying real money to gamble on new personas? $5 to up your social link? F2P games are designed first and foremost around monetisation models, game play is secondary. This would ruin Persona. Leave this F2P crap in China. Don’t bring it to the west and ruin the legacy of one of the greatest RPG series ever made. Persona will be no better than Genshin if it goes F2P.

Persona and SMT are some of my treasured childhood games. I get that same excitement for Metaphor: ReFantazio, I can’t wait until it comes out!

P1 and P2 deserves a remake, I mean a totally new gameplay close to newer Persona. Persona 1 and 2 has a very good story but the gameplay was closer to SMT even the random battle numbers was hardcore like SMT also and I really hate that.
Yeah, my biggest issue with Personas 1 and 2 were the insane number of random battles. If those were toned down a bit, I would've liked the games a bit more

I tried to play devil summoner Raidou kuzunoha, but I got turned off by the lack of voice acting. It feels so weird seeing amazing characters in beautiful animated shots not saying a word. I finished Nocturn HD remastered and really liked it a lot. I then tried digital devil saga PAL ps2 version and it made me not want to play it in that stage. I hope they do a Remaster or HD remake of the games.

I would love a remake of Persona games 1 and 2. Not really inpatient for 4. Persona 4 Golden, in its current form, may be somewhat dated but still modern enough that a remake seems too hasty/soon whereas Persona 1 and 2 are games that are so dated, it'd take a quite dedicated fan to go back and play them rather than wait for a remaster/remake. This is just my opinion though, I know Persona 4 is one of the most beloved Persona games so it doesn't seem all too unlikely for Atlus to prioritize a remake or remaster of that game first
I dont think I will be able to play metaphor when it comes out (poor asf) but I am def excited to play it when I can it looks so fire

My biggest problem with Persona is that the games are too long to justify having missable content that require multiple playthroughs. I hope that problem isn't present in Metaphor and that I can experience everything in one playthrough
The thing with that is that a second playthrough is likely only to be around 20ish hours when you skip all the dialogue and cutscenes you already have seen (just did that in p3r)
Don't want to break it to you, but not every game is meant for everyone. Creatives should be able to create and not limit themselves to me as a player or anyone else -- whether game is long or short in length. Atlus isn't alone in this either as other studios have done the same.
@@jynxce you are absolutely right on that aspect . Maybe i have outgrown Persona and no longer relate to high-school fiction , but I still love JRPGs and urban-fantasy settings. I don't want Persona to change, I just wish for a little more flexibility/accessibleity like in SMTV/V

If you could only pick one? Man, that's hard to answer. Metaphor isn't out yet, but it's likely going to be received very well. P3R is an exceptional remake. Maybe wait until Metaphor comes out and read up on the reviews and make the judgment call!

I want to play P5X, but I hate everything about mobile gaming, especially if I have to play with other people (I hope that's not the case with this game). If they don't have microtransactions, and put it on a physical media, only then will I buy/play it.

Seeing all that remastering been quite a thing lately in many games, I can't help but think if there are any hopes of Atlus making a PC/cross-platform based MMORPG.
May be an unpopular opinion but I'd be happy to see a remake of SMT: Imagine or something new with real-time multiplayer elements. The demon, alignment and a lot of their core system with real time mechanics are definitely something that can stand out among other MMOs nowadays.
IMO, if they can pull it off, it's definitely something that can revitalize the multiplayer scene. High maintenance, but if done well, they can even beat up games like FFXIV and World of Warcraft just for the fact that it's not going to be your typical job class, leveling MMO. Imagine having to raise demons, do pve or pvp with it, fuse demons to fight with you or fuse it with your gears. Ik some people would be skeptical for they should focus on what they do since they're already great. A lot of people nowadays are also willing to pay good price and subscription for a great game.
I'd be really interested in seeing something like that
I'm just hoping that they stop their stupid enhanced version strategy...

ppl gotta understand those polls are voted on by fans, like BIG fans. even normal fans that still own every game besides 1,2. even owning SMT. we dont vote. look at the total vote numbers.
then substract the votings that were from japanese ppl.

if they remake it, its gonna be CLOSE to the original, which had not a lot to offer besides dungeon crawling. thats not up to standard anymore, will sell mediocre. and again will not speed up the development for persona 6. i hope they stop making spin-offs and remasters of old titles all together and focus solely on new stuff. cause its gonna be almost 10years between p5 and p6 and that gap wont get smaller between p6and p7. and even if you liked the spin-offs, we ALL can agree that the main titles are still the best titles in the series. most content, most gameplay, most love put into it. theres a reason persona made them big, not Q2, not tactica not any spinoff ever.

I've seen it talked about in other videos. They're making it right now but it's most likely not gonna come out this or next year, if we're lucky probably early 2026. It's even rumoured for the next persona mc to be a female. That's why they say that any further remakes are not in the talks right now (especially since they have other titles besides Persona to worry about).
There would be ZERO announcements about other games until Metaphor releases and gets some starting sales

Love Persona but hell no to Phantom X. I don’t want Persona games destroyed by becoming free to play microtransaction riddled cash grabs. Paying real money to gamble on new personas? $5 to up your social link? F2P games are designed first and foremost around monetisation models, game play is secondary. This would ruin Persona. Leave this F2P crap in China. Don’t bring it to the west and ruin the legacy of one of the greatest RPG series ever made. Persona will be no better than Genshin if it goes F2P.
