Spike did say in the first episode he appeared in that he "fed off a Flower person" at Woodstock and spent an hour watching his hand move. So if he can get stoned from feeding on a person, he can get drunk.

This is such a great episode. 😄 Weird accent aside, Kendra is awesome. Fun fact, Bianca Lawson has played the role of a 17 year old girl in different shows and movies for nearly 20 years. Recently, in Queen Sugar, she plays a woman who is maybe in her early 20s. She's 43 now.
We are the same age?! This isn't fair! Clearly, God has favorites.🙄

Wasn't expecting this so soon. Belinda must have really been anxious for part 2 answers. I was looking forward to her two slayers reaction after her denial.
There's a blooper out there showing Charisma and Nicholas (Cordelia and Xander) pulling away from the kiss only for saliva to be strung between them. The actors laughed so hard.
The worms dropping onto Cordelia were erasers, the ones one the worm guy were CGI, and the rest were real.
The writer said she wanted audiences to wonder if Buffy and Kendra were fighting and Kendra changed her mind to help, or if they were putting on a show for Willy in case he double crossed Buffy. I've always been inclined towards Kendra changing her mind, as Buffy wasn't in a planning mood.
Spike was actually meant to have been killed off in this episode, but the writers changed their minds because of all the opportunities they saw once James Marsters started playing the part.
Next weeks episode trailer was right about something: John Ritter gave a performance no one forgot. Even those, like me, who don't think it's a higher rated episode, usually praise his performance.
I'm also hoping to see a two a week episode release for _Surprise/Innocence._
This just made my day. I saw part one the other day and was pleasantly surprised to sit down on my lunch break and find part two just waiting for me.

i have heard that she was emulating a very obscure regional jamaican accent but the person who said it wasn't sure either so i'd like to hear from someone who's already heard it irl
Hey Gabriel, I have heard that too, and also that the actress wasn't told about the accent until the very last minute, so she had no time to perfect it.
It's not *that* bad. We just poke fun at it because it's not *that* great. Lol! But I'm no expert, I'm learning more about this show than I ever knew before, watching it with ppl on TH-cam.

@@Sisnerdly If you're not already familiar, Wired YT channel has a series called "Technique Critique" with experts in various fields. They're all great. The ones I'm thinking of are about accents. Erik Singer is a dialect coach & can be quite funny as well. Some of them deal with accents in film & TV. There's also one on fictional languages (ConLangs). ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

I think I mentioned it in the last videos comment section, but if I didn't, to be fair, the actress wasn't told until the day they started filming that they wanted the character to have a Jamaican accent so it didn't really give her that much time to prepare.
I just caught up with your part 1 today, I was so excited to get part 2 too! We're getting close to THE episode! Should we start taking bets on how Belinda is going to take it?

To be fair there are a lot of "THE episode" episodes in this show. But I would bet for the episode you're referring to, at the end of the first part of the 2 parter we get confusion and a "What the fuck is going on?" And by the end of the second part of the 2 part episode we get an, "I love Giles", and a, "This royally sucks."

i think the accent is more trinidadian/tobegan. but i could be wrong
I worked for many years with a Jamaican born colleague, and to my ears Kendra sounds almost exactly like her! It’s certainly a very strong accent, and maybe it’s not very common in the US? In the UK, if you like cricket, you’ll have heard a lot of Caribbean accents, plus there’s a significant immigrant population. I certainly find her accent better than Drusilla’s, which (unlike Spike) doesn’t sound like any English accent. Juliet Landau’s performance does compensate for it though!

We want to watch it. Not sure when we can squeeze it in with out busy schedules, but we're gonna try.
