    i once tied a players foot with a rope to the fence across from him. He fell on his butt a few times when trying to swing but eventually, he adjusted his weight transfer and started to hit. Eventually, he went on to be one of the better hitters on his HS team.

    Howdy, sir! Quick question. Your videos on balance, drills on not lunging, and drills to coil the back leg would be applicable for fast pitch softball, wouldn’t they? Thanks!

    Matt. Great video as always. My son stays on line with his stride during tee work and dry swings but as soon as i throw live BP, he loses his posture and at times steps in the bucket. He masters the drills but loses it during BP and games. Any suggestions in this case? Could this be fear?

      My son does the same thing. During practice or coach pitch he's perfect but game situation with kid pitching he's scared and steps in the bucket. If the ball is inside he gets a hit, but half of the time its a called 3rd strike on the outside corner or a ground ball to 2nd.

    You go up to the plate with the mindset of hitting line drives back up the middle , to keep from pulling off, keeps you on the ball so you can spray it all over the field and the Homers will come.
    Way I was taught.

    Hey Matt, is there any drills to do for someone who struggles on transferring thier weight from back to front?

    • @thaddeusfields4360
      @thaddeusfields4360 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why do you want to transfer your weight to the front?

    • @michaelscott5738
      @michaelscott5738 ปีที่แล้ว

      You want to keep your weight in the back....don't transfer.

    Reference wounded soldiers who have to learn to do something( for ex . ) learn to use other hand - has been shown to take between 5000 - 10,000 reps to learn to change to new behavior.

    Would i need to change anything about the drill for a kid (my daughter) who bats with an open stance? she sees the ball insanely well. but the last 2 months shes started stepping in the bucket, and her line drives/HRs have turned into hard grounders. 90% of them find a hole, but were working on getting that straight step back. Thoughts?

      @easton.11127 ปีที่แล้ว

      it’s just them stepping out or their rolling over make sure their two motions load and swing if you don’t you’ll roll over and hit hard grounders

    My problem comes in the game when I step out. I hit off the tee and bp all the time and I don’t step out. What should I do?

    The reason why you stride straight after leaning in, because players feel like they're gonna fall over. Which is what they're kinda supposed to feel.

    I was a "slap hitter" and I did well between short and third with getting straight up just had 0 power 🤷‍♂️

    I hit better stepping out it’s weird. I step in a don’t hit as good I step out I hit rockets. But I wanna start stepping it to generate more power. I play arch softball tho unfortunately
