As someone who has dealt with tourettes syndrome, specifically alot of facial and neck twitching since a small child, I want to say thank you for this video because it has given me alot of peace and relief. Thank you for making a difference.
I am an opera singer, and in my daily practice I have to minimise the tension in my body as much as possible - this meditation was amazing and the day after I first listened to it, I had one of the best practice sessions in a long time!
That's wonderful! And what an amazing singer you are, I just checked out one of your video's. Keep up the good work and I'm glad to have helped in a small way!
Thanks to share your expe! Cello player looking for job as unskilled boy at early sixties, maybe as orchestra boy, perhaps I don't succes the admision procedures, ja, ja! I think my head tension would be released if I got the job I really worth for in a world of dunes conspiracy, lovers, friends, brothers in low, fins, and telephone calls. Wow, my muscle's head! Anyway, so pleased to met you!
I don't comment often on YT, but your channel has some of the best designed meditations/affirmations I have ever worked with. Thank you for your deeply kind and highly skilled work on these meditations.
This was just soooo relaxing. Who knew I could carry so much stress and tension just in my face?! Thank you so much for carefully guiding us through this x
Really good! Thanks! After decades of relaxation face and head muscles still tight, and they tense every moment with every reaccion even to a thought. It's an authomatist!
I love this, thank you so much. I am dealing with anxiety and depression issues for the past few months and now I have recently found out that I am clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth whilst sleeping. So I thought to look up some exercises to relax my tension and came across this. Loved loved loved it, I am going to do this every single day now. Thank you🙏♥️
I am too aware of my face and all the muscles and all the parts because of my OCD, I wish I was unaware of these things. But the rest of the video is really helpful thanks.
So I had to look up the location of the zygomatic bone 🙄... but it seems that its position by the temples is a prime area for tension from the jaw. Any stress or muscle tension in the face or even bad posture could have an effect. As well as trying to release stress and tension through meditation, self-massage of facial and neck muscles would probably help as would applying an ice pack (I use a balloon filled with a small amount of water before freezing it and wrapping it in a scarf).
I suffer from the same, and despite looking for answers for so long, this is the first time I have heard of people complaining about the exact same thing as me! I was so close to deciding that I was just imagining it, even though I had a feeling it was connected to my disorders. Now I know that I am not. Could you guys tell me more about this, if you ever read this? Like how long you have had this specific symptom, how disturbing it can get on the regular, and what you normally do to alleviate it? Feel free to ignore this if it is too much!
Thanks for your calm and informative video and sharing your experience for free😍 I've tension in my facial muscles because of suffering from facial palsy for more than Two years , the nerve is good now but the muscles didn't work and tension , please is that helpful for relaxing the tension muscles in my face? Please write for other recommendations or suggestions
I wish I was more knowledgeable in that area. However, now that your nerve is working well again, it is good to practice contracting and relaxing the facial muscles. This meditation can help with relaxation, along with massage. But you could also try progressive muscular relaxation which is a fancy phrase for saying tensing then relaxing the muscles. I have a 20 minute video on this technique th-cam.com/video/skg3JcSqYgM/w-d-xo.html but if you only want to concentrate on the face try the segment from 6:49 - 9:30
@@rokaezzat8427 You're welcome. So on the video link for Progressive Muscular relaxation in the above comment, follow along from minutes 6:49 to 9:30, because that part concentrates on just the face. Hope that helps!
You're so very welcome. It's amazing how much I still find myself holding tension in my face and neck. We all need a reminder to release this sometimes. Thank you
Generation Calm i agree!! I have it every time i use my phone or computer a long time then my eyebrows will get so much tension. I didnt know it was tensions. I thought something is wrong with my eyes haha! Thank you for this! Big help! 😘🥰🥰🥰
i never understood this "aware of you body" how aware you need to be? i am aware of it all the time anyway. Trying to be aware of doesnt make any difference.
Good question and it's hard to answer. Some people who experience anxiety are hyperaware of their body and its various sensations (like if you get anxious about your health and become concerned when your heart beats faster). In which case it's just too much. However, other people are up in their heads thinking a lot about the future and what horrible things may happen, in which case, distracting yourself from those thoughts and bringing yourself back to the moment with some body awareness is good. What you're looking for is the right amount of body awareness for you. And this may change over time. So when I say become aware of your body, it's a gentle reminder to just notice the moment, and not be thinking about something else. The most useful is just noticing your breath.
I wondered about this, as well. If I may offer you this; to me, being 'aware of my body' means to be cognizant of WHERE I'm holding TENSION and release it as many times a day as I can. Usually, it's my shoulders and my forehead that need release several times a day. Hope this helps

@@GenerationCalm Is it common to feel a lot of stress in your zygomatic bone? Also, I deal with the same stuff as

Hello there, do you eat much dairy? As sometimes dairy products can cause sinus trouble.
