slide your body to the side and drop slowly to the ground while holding the bar, stand up stand next to bench pull bar up and rehook or breath in chill a few secs and push the bar all the way up rehook
I have a question. For angled smith machines, does it matter which way you face when using the machine? I've seen people do it both ways and am wondering if there is any benefit of doing it one way compared to the other.
If you’re talking about which way you lay down on the be ch, it’s a matter of comfort on your wrists for how you unlock the smith machine bar. Do what’s most comfy for you
@@grunt9906 You want to face toward the racking cogs to know where they are if you fail in a lift, not facing away, and you want to rack forward with the wrists which is stronger.
Pinch your shoulder blades together & maintain that throughout even while pushing up. And you could take a wider grip to help engage your chest more and not let your triceps take over.
I’m confused about which direction to face. At my gym, everyone uses the direction where the bar goes in the back direction vs forward direction like in this video. I do mine like in this video. Does it matter ultimately which direction the bar goes?
Question, Does the bar have to touch the chest or just slightly above chest is good enough? 'Cause someone told me that you don't have to go all the way down...
That will depend on your mobility and how it feels for your shoulders. I would say hit 90 degrees at minimum! But no you don't have to touch your chest if it's uncomfortable. It will vary from person to person
Jesus casually explained the whole Smith Machine Chest Press 🗿🔥
That tip about bringing the bar down to the bench to check for even spacing is beautiful 🤩
game changer for sure! Our eyes lie to us haha
Thanks for this, dude. I’ve been looking at the machine for a while and I’m gonna try it now. Not feeling so intimidated anymore
@@SkyFella25 happy to help, dude!
Thanks Jesus
You're welcome my son
@@LukeKazlauskasLord Jesus Christ thank you for the workout tips.
Thank you for helping and teaching us how to keep the muscle atrophy devil away.
@ 😂😂 keep that devil away 🙏🏼
Its also VERY good for failur beacuse its way more safe then normal bench love taking it to failure😍
@@3_alexF1 absolutely! Can be great for when you don’t have a spotter
You’re facing the wrong way
You want the bar to go up and slightly back when you lift so it’s best to face the opposite direction of this guy.
Thank you sooo much ❤❤❤
Absolutely!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Absolutely!
What happens when u have to safely exit... how do you lift it back up?

Well on a free weight bench you would start with the bar below your chest and push the bar near your head, so the opposite of how this guy set it up

I find it easier to restack turning my wrists forward rather than back so I turn the bench the oposite way shown in this video.
Personal preference

I can't seem to get my chest muscles involved!

I can't seem to get the ROM that i can on normal bench or dumbell bench press for the same weight. It's weird.
How heavy is the weight itself, please reply if you know.
I don't know.
You mean the bar? 20kg 😛
It's going to vary between each smith machine but there will be a sticker on the machine that will let you know the starting resistance
The bar is 0kg on the smith at my gym (well basically 0) because it is counterweighted, so it neednt be 20kg. @@Velazquez99
What if you bench the other way around?
Do you have one for incline too ?
I don’t but possibly in the future!

Nope whichever ur comfortable in half of people in gym do anything they like and see
I personally felt way better chest activation facing the back direction unlike this video. Just like doing bench press on free weight
❤❤❤
W vid
Eyyy let's get it!
