She trims her hair once a year. Cyn doll says it too. Most important thing is moisture hydration and protection for the ends. I stop trimming my hair quarterly and seeing great results. I just hydrate and moisturizer my ends even in braids twice a week and the retention is massive. I took down my braids few days ago after 5 weeks and was shocked at how hydrated and healthy my ends were. Am in tiny cornrows with very little added extension and my scalp is breathing easier. People still discredit my dedication and routine to genetics, which is annoying because like, have they seen my mother and aunties’ hair like💀 no, it’s understanding your hair and doing what it wants, and thank you so much for showing me how! It was your knee length video that gave me the push I needed, and I haven’t looked back since! I’m also really grateful for this video because when I took the twists down and did a blowout, I was so lost and didn’t know how to maintain it in humid African weather without losing all my ends to splits and knots, so last week I ended up going back to the twist routine, which I’ll do for another year after my four month hiatus. I did notice that once I stopped the twists, my hair was stuck at the same length the whole time, meanwhile with the twists, during that period I would’ve gained at least three inches, so I’m going back to twists until I can figure out how to keep my hair growing and not breaking when I blow it out Thank you once again, my comment is becoming so long 😅

Now that you blow dry your hair, are you still using Aloe Vera/flaxseed gel as a leave-in? Have you taken out that step when your hair is being blown out?
